There are a lot of people asking for President Trump to give remarks to the nation about the ongoing violence and riots in the aftermath of George Floyd’s horrific murder.
Apparently many people did not listen to President Trump’s address on Saturday afternoon about this exact issue. Or perhaps the media’s need to ignore the content of his speech has led to some confusion. Regardless, here’s the transcript: (Snip) “I want to say a few words about the situation in Minnesota. The death of George Floyd on the streets of Minneapolis was a grave tragedy. It should never have happened. It has filled Americans all over the country with horror,

FTA:
Yesterday, I spoke to George’s family and expressed the sorrow of our entire nation for their loss. I stand before you as a friend and ally to every American seeking justice and peace. And I stand before you in firm opposition to anyone exploiting this tragedy to loot, rob, attack, and menace. Healing, not hatred; justice, not chaos are the mission at hand.

For years the black community has railed against the so-called stereotypes that society has of them as being nothing more than rioting looters, bent on destroying the property of others. Then they all go out and do things that deliberately reinforce those stereotypes. Things like looting, burning and pillaging what doesn't belong to them. Can't have it both ways Minorities. Respect is something you all have to earn, it is not freely given. Not after the past couple of days. My sympathies and respect go to the blacks who are appalled at the thugs in their community, who are out there killing blacks and destroying black property.
They have totally destroyed the agenda and their excuses for protesting. They protest the death of a black guy, but then they go out themselves and kill other blacks. Can't have it both ways rioters. Of course the media and the spoiled brats of two politicians this weekend helping the rioters is not helping the situation either.

What #2 said. What we saw last night - and today in videos at Breitbart, taken in cities across the country - were feral animals. They cannot have it both ways. They cannot behave the way these thugs - male and female - are behaving and expect anyone to respect them. They foul their own nests, then play the racial victim card.
George Floyd was made out to be a victim. A man of apparently no skills, he was employed for his large body as a security guard. He had a record of home invasion robbery - a particularly vicious crime - for which he spent some years in prison. Many Americans lost their jobs. Unlike George, they didn’t spend what they had on booze and drugs and end up so whacked out that they tried to pass counterfeit currency to buy cigarettes.
George Floyd was still prone to go criminal when it suited his purpose. He did not deserve to die. But he did not deserve to be “honored” with the destruction of our cities, built and maintained by hardworking people who wouldn’t have dreamed of turning to crime.
Crime is too easy for some of these people. And I will say “these people” because the videos show who they are, the arrest mug shots show who they are. We see the color of those who beat a man nearly to death in Texas for defending his shop. We see the one last young man who raced over his prone critically-injured body, giving one last kick to his already-bleeding head. We know who they are. They are a blight on their own people - we have all known the good ones - and on our wonderful country.

Trump said the right things. He expressed to the family "the sorrow of our entire nation for their loss." and said "I stand before you as a friend and ally to every American seeking justice and peace." He had the AG immediately involved. He points out that proper action has already been taken by charging one officer and firing 3 more. He supports the right of peaceful protest. He supports the "overwhelming majority of police officers" who do good and valiant work every day. He is asking for a peaceful resolution,"Healing, not hatred; justice, not chaos" , and decrying violence. He mentions that there is a lot of outreach going on to minorities and he wants to build on that but riots make it very difficult.
This was a thoughtful and fair message.

Floyd was just an excuse to riot, loot, and attempt to harm President Trump. The left needs more than Biden for the 2020 elections, since blacks are moving to President Trump. This is a sponsored response, using people who probably hadn't even hear about Floyd until recruited to riot!

I saw his speech live and it was spoken with honesty and concern. Yes, he’s going to do something about it and all those pundits (Griff Jenkins-Fox) kept telling watchers that the President should have a special sit down White House speech telling us what he’s going to do. He did already but these twerps on tv just have to let the audience know how smart they are.
