The rioting went on late into the night Thursday in Minneapolis, stretching into early Friday morning with protesters stealing and torching several U.S. Postal Service vans to protest the death in police custody of George Floyd on Monday.
The mob damaged or destroyed 130 businesses in Minneapolis this week.
Here is a list of the damaged or destroyed businesses in south Minneapolis this week.

Probably couldn't get or maybe couldn't afford insurance in that sort of a neighborhood.
They do it to themselves, and wonder why they 'can't have nice, normal neighborhoods'. Because they don't have enough nice, normal people.
I feel sorry for the guy, but he needs to look at who did this. Maybe he can reopen in the suburbs, away from these thugs' stalking grounds.

#1 is correct. The market for insurance in these areas is very restrictive and the premiums are expensive. Generally, only specialty carriers like Lloyds offer coverage in problematic neighborhoods.

The history of Black rioting has been that the rioters, usually all in liberal Democrat inner-city low income areas end up burning down and destroying grocery stores and other critical businesses in those areas. Then after the rioting is over, over the “community” wakes up and figures out that they no longer have grocery stores and other critical businesses anywhere near where “the community” resides. Then we hear from community organizers about “food deserts” in those areas, with the liberal Democrat politicians who represent those areas demanding that the Federal Government hand out a lot of federal money to rebuild those devastated areas.

Race has nothing to do with what gets burned once these idiots start their party.
How many people got burned out that lived above these business's.
Rioters are having a good time stealing looting and building fires, They are enjoying it, and anyone who says they aren't is lying. It isn't about George Floyd, it's about the festivities and the fun.

Every Democrat-run city should have a riot-tax fund, in case this happens. It only seems to happen in Democrat run cities. Remember what a former mayor of Baltimore said, that 'space for destruction' was necessary. How generous these politicians are with other people's money! MIght as well tax the community for this eventuality-like a site premium-and rebuild destruction caused by riots that the POLS allowed in the first place. Oh, but try to figure out a way for the funds not to be embezzled or shifted towards other purposes.....good luck with that!

So right when businesses can start to open back up, here comes community devastation. Now one wonders how much pent up frustration because of stay at home orders help to fuel these riots?

I am truly heartbroken for this man. But I have to wonder what his thinking was prior to this sad episode. Not to remotely suggest that this was deserved, but is he reaping what he sowed? Life is filled with unintended consequences.

At least his grief can be assuaged by the sage words of Mayor Fried that rioters lives are more important than brick and mortar.

He is a fireman too. Married and 4 little kids. Just so tragic. This is a good man. Lots of good people will be hurt in a multitude of ways by this greedy, thoughtless, hate filled mob. God's mercy on the good people who have to live with and then clean up this mess.

In a way, the black community brings this on themselves, by ignoring the thugs in their midst and criticizing anyone who tries to point out the destructive pathology of the ghetto as raaacist or "blaming the victim." They've allied with the bad apples out of racial solidarity, and the consequences are tragic for some.

He was looking for $100k on his gofundme page and has received 2.5x that in donations. By the way, take a closer look at the photos. The rioters are not all black.

Just imagine what they would do if the Twins ever won the World Series. This is nothing but a warm up session.
Tear it down and burn it to the ground. That’s the respect you have for your own city.

Yeaaahh.
I would guess that non-black business owners in Minneapolis are just as unhappy about the trashing of their businesses.
But maybe Rev Al dan provide compensation

This is why demonrats don't want ordinary people to have guns. Demonrats need to protect their thugs since the cops aren't doing the job.

His main problem will be who to blame. It would serve these rioters right if the burned out stores were left there for a couple of years as a reminder but the democrats will get money somehow to rebuild for next time.

Did he shed any tears when the BLM and Antifa destroyed shops belonging to whites or Asians?
Maybe now he understands what it's like and soon the good people of America(mostly whites) will send him money to rebuild his business.
