A black CNN reporter was arrested live on air on Friday morning by Minnesota State Patrol while reporting on the killing of George Floyd, a black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for nine minutes. CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez was put in handcuffs and led away from his team of producers this morning at 5.11am CT after the team was moved down the street by police in riot gear. According to one of his colleagues, the crew was told he was being arrested for refusing to move when he'd been told to but he was heard live on air telling the officers:

FTA: "CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez " in the article is identified as a black CNN reporter. Fascinating that he wasn't identified as a black hispanic, ala George Zimmerman who was described as a white hispanic. Utter propaganda. The media is all in on this, vote by mail, twitter censorship of the President and forced stay at home orders. These riots are the death screams of the hard left.

I think it is sad that the police had to ask CNN to move in the first place. Should they have even been there? But, you know, media has to be the first for everything I guess.
I am also going out on a limb here but I think these Democrat governors have created some of the tension in their states. With all of the virus stuff going on, police are now expected to arrest business owners, people or anyone defiant of the lockdown rules. People are tense on both sides and then you have leaders that are ineffective and like having power.

Rioters and looters run amok (pardon me, "demonstrators"!) and the police arrest a CNN crew!!!!!!!!! That attitude explains a lot of things. Not only do they NOT explain to the crew why they are being arrested, but it also may explain why the four policemen, the "kneeler" with a long record of misbehavior, etc., are running free and not being arrested themselves, or fired in the past. Too little too late, and if the cops are arresting a crew ON CAMERA it shows how confident they are re: this kind of thing never yielding discipline.

What part of "move" did they not understand? The media seem to think reality pretends they aren't there, as if riots and wars and even wild animals should just ignore their presence while supposedly document everything without affecting anything. (Despite repeated evidence that the people on scene often act up when they're on camera.)

Actually, all CNN reporters probably belong in jail, since, according to Donna Brazile, lying is not covered by the 1st amendment.

I've got many quibbles with how CNN spins the "news," but this is First Amendment territory.
Arresting that crew was fornicated up.
