103-year-old Jennie Stejna defied the odds to beat the novel coronavirus on May 13 and treated herself to a victory bottle of Bud Light in celebration. “Hell yes,” Stejna told her grandson-in-law, Adam Gunn, when asked whether she was ready to go to Heaven. A brutal fight against the novel coronavirus looked grim, and her family was forced to say their goodbyes over the phone. And while Stejna did not specify when she wanted to go, the following days made it clear: Not yet. Stejna is a “hardcore Boston sports fan,” who “used to sit outside and listen to the Red Sox on the radio,” her family remembered.

She should have another beer to celebrate that she doesn't live in Cuomo's NY where she would have gotten a Death Panel sentence and no beer to celebrate her recovery.

God Bless her!! I wish I could visit my 95 year old father who is in a special retirement home in Idaho. My sister is up there and they barely let her come see him, but they have allowed her a little special privilege. They all have stayed safe there and want to keep it that way.

The idea that minorities vote Democrat is an ingrained assumption of American politics. But Mike Garcia — the son of a Mexican immigrant — is proof that Hispanic Republicans are alive and well in Donald Trump’s GOP. Earlier this month, Garcia flipped a Democratic congressional district in California — the seat formerly held by scandal-scarred “throuple” Rep. Katie Hill — into the Republican column for the first time in 22 years. Garcia, a 44-year-old former Navy fighter pilot, is now a newly sworn-in member of Congress, representing a district where more than half the population is nonwhite, 35 percent of it Hispanic —

Joe Biden refers often to his roots in middle and working-class America. Speaking in his birthplace of Scranton, Pa., last year, Biden stated: “We were raised to believe family, loyalty, treating everyone with dignity is what we should do, because a lot of us knew what it was like not to be treated with dignity by people with wealth.” However sincere his personal narrative may be, Biden’s actual politics tell a different story. Somewhere along the way, Biden chose to embrace globalism and the priorities of global wealth over the interests of the American worker. Comfortable in the highest reaches of government,

President Trump is heading back to the campaign trail after a three-month coronavirus hiatus. The president’s re-election effort is hosting two in-person fundraisers — one in Texas and one at his New Jersey golf resort — in early June, The Hill reported Saturday. Only 25 supporters will be allowed to attend — and each of them will have to pass a coronavirus test on the day of the event, administered by the White House medical unit and paid for by Trump’s fundraising committee. The group should have plenty of cash to cover the bill. Tickets for the outdoor gathering at the Trump National Golf Club on June 13 in Bedminster, New Jersey,

[Video] Rioters in Atlanta decided to spare a local Waffle House, amid an otherwise uninterrupted rampage through the city Friday evening. Video uploaded to Twitter shows the rabble-rousers descending on the iconic breakfast chain before an ad hoc group decision was made to leave it alone. “Not the Waffle House,” several protesters cried, with others shouting, “No, no.” Another man said, “Protesters decide to leave Waffle House alone. Atlanta is amazing.” It was a rare bright spot during a night of otherwise consistent chaos and arson, particularly of small and local businesses. The riots were ignited after George Floyd was killed at the hands of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on Monday.

No less than the New England Journal of Medicine has dealt a body blow to America’s growing army of mask fascists with the news that “wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.” The reasons for this are both simple and logical: We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes).

I think it's time to leave The City. I'm talking about not just Minneapolis, even as we watch it die in real time. There are NYC, so corrupt that it leaves its elderly and other useless eaters to die in place, and Chicago, with a South Side so deadly that decent black people are leaving, after the whites of a generation ago. There are Baltimore, Detroit, Oakland — they're gone — and San Francisco and Los Angeles, too, both of which are approaching a civic point of no return. Even Texas cities like Austin and Dallas are beset by growing crime and homeless culture,
Trump should just kill social media altogether 5 replies

Is the beginning of Jack Dorsey's end in President Trump's executive order on social-media bias? In an adjective: unlikely. Should Trump get his druthers, social media companies will be liable for the content published on their platforms. In other words, Cousin Merle's inane Facebook ramblings will now be Mark Zuckerberg's problem, along with the darkly meandering thoughts of billions of other souls. Twitter set this gamesmanship in train by attempting to fact-check a claim by the president that mail-in ballots are ripe with fraud. The check itself was factitious: a West Virginia postman was charged with election fraud involving mail-in ballots the same day as Trump's flagged tweet.

In the kids' game “Simon Says,” whatever the child designated as Simon says, the other children must obey. “Simon says hop on your right leg while rubbing your head with your left hand.” Outrageously, Democrats have exploited coronavirus to override the U.S. Constitution to transform America into an evil game of “Governor Says.” By simply decreeing, “Governor says,” our right to assemble and worship God is rescinded. Governor says fake news media elites and government employees are essential and can earn a living. Governor says Trump supporters are nonessential and cannot earn a living. Two men decided to utilize their Second Amendment rights to prevent people from looting nearby stores. "Basically, you've seen the records the cops keep and the cops are a lot less likely to tread on people's rights when there's other armed Americans with them.
