Jeffrey Epstein’s former lawyer Alan Dershowitz dared Virginia Roberts Giuffre to “look in the camera” and accuse him of having sex with her — so she did. “I challenge Virginia Roberts to come on your show, look in the camera and say the following words: ‘I accuse Alan Dershowitz of having had sex with me on six or seven occasions,'” the 81-year-old lawyer said on camera in the new docu-series “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich.”

I read Dershowitz's reply where he denied having sex with everybody----but he didn't specifically deny having sex with Giuffre. Dershowitz is very careful about what he says, and asked Giuffre to stare in the camera and say she had sex with him, and she has done so. So now, I call on Dershowitz to stare into the camera and specifically deny that has had sex with Giuffre. I think that is the question, not whether Dershowitz has, or has not had sex with a whole host of others. These subtleties matter, and I call on Dershowitz for further clarification.

I saw the doc last night. It's good. And having seen it, I believe Roberts, not Dershowitz.

Being accused of sexual misconduct is a badge of honor that Democrats wear shamelessly.

The mayor of Minneapolis told individuals protesting that their anger is “understandable” and “right" but urged them to make sure they are wearing masks and practicing social distancing during their demonstrations. “The City encourages everyone to exercise caution to stay safe while participating in demonstrations, including wearing masks and physical distancing as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s office wrote in a statement addressed to individuals who took to the streets following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. “The City has made hundreds of masks available to protesters this week.”

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot reacted angrily Friday to President Donald Trump’s threat to take action against protesters in Minneapolis, accusing him of trying to “inflame racist urges” while encouraging people planning to protest in her city to stick to social distancing guidelines.(Snip)“I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump,” Lightfoot said. “It’s two words. It begins with ‘f’ and it ends with ‘you.’ I will not remain silent while this man cynically tries to turn this incredibly painful moment into one for his own political gain.” Lightfoot, a former federal prosecutor, is the city’s first black female mayor.

Social media has anointed an unlikely new sex symbol in the form of Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey. The Twitter sensation comes amid a devastating time for the city of Minneapolis, which has been torn apart by riots over the tragic death of black resident George Floyd, who lost consciousness when white cop Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for

The governor of Minnesota has called for full mobilization of the state's National Guard, as he suggested that foreign and extremist influences are fueling chaos as protests over the in-custody death devolve into violence in cities across the country. 'Last night is a mockery of pretending that this is about George Floyd's death, or inequities, or historical traumas to our communities of color,' Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, said on Saturday.(Snip) 'The situation in Minneapolis is no longer in any way about the murder of George Floyd, it is about attacking civil society, instilling fear, and disrupting our great cities,' Walz said.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey held a press conference early Friday morning at City Hall. Around 1:30 a.m., Frey addressed a city that is enduring escalating protests that have lasted for the past three days in response to the death of George Floyd. Four Minneapolis Police officers were fired in the incident that happened Monday night. Thursday night's protests accelerated in violence in comparison to the previous two, with the Minneapolis Police Department's 3rd Precinct set on fire, where all the fired officers were from. During his address to media, Frey reflected on the bigger meaning of the protests. "Brick

Hillary Clinton said Friday that President Trump’s response to the George Floyd-inspired protests in Minnesota is yet another reason for voters to give him the boot in the November election. “The president of the United States is calling for violence against American citizens,” Mrs. Clinton tweeted. “That is so wrong. We need honest reckoning and reconciliation.” “If you haven’t already joined the work to replace him in November, start now,” she said. Ms. Clinton, who lost to Mr. Trump in the 2016 election, appeared to be alluding to Mr. Trump’s early-morning comments regarding the unrest in the wake of Floyd’s death.

Thursday on MSNBC, former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett said because there is “de minimis vote fraud in our country,” we “should have vote-by-mail in every state.” Jarrett said, “This week, we launched Civic Cities, where we are working with mayors across the country. I started in local government, so I appreciate how mayors really do have a touch on what’s happening in the communities. They are extremely influential. So I asked them to help us engage with the constituents they have. We have 31 mayors off the bat. Many more joined on since then. We’re working in high schools because people who are first-time voters tend to be lifelong voters.

Almost totally absent from the mainstream news Friday, as the violent insurrection in the wake of George Floyd’s death spread to cities nationwide, were the preliminary results of his autopsy. The report was part of the arrest warrant for Derek Michael Chauvin (snip) The brief mention of the autopsy suggests that the case against Chauvin, and possibly his three colleagues assuming they too will eventually be charged, for being totally responsible for the death of Floyd may not be as cut and dried as previously thought.

One might think that MSNBC might give Rev. Al Sharpton the day off when the hot topic is protesters burning down buildings. In 1995, Sharpton's protest against the "white interloper" who ran Freddy's Fashion Mart in Harlem led to a fire where seven people died of smoke inhalation (and the arsonist shot himself). Discussing the rioting in Minneapolis on today's Morning Joe, Al Sharpton began by telling protesters that the goal of a fair criminal justice system wouldn't be achieved by "appearing" to be criminal themselves. He warned that people would "exploit" that. A clearly upset Sharpton then said: "As I walked around Minneapolis yesterday . . .
