There’s a great deal to be upset about regarding the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers under color of authority, but it’s quite another thing for protesters to turn into rioters and steal stuff under cover of righteous indignation. That’s what happened in Minneapolis Wednesday night after Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced that four police officers involved in the stop on Sunday night were fired. Floyd died in custody Sunday night after getting stopped for forgery. Floyd was held down at his neck by an officer using his knee. Onlookers recorded the hold for minutes as Floyd protested he couldn’t breathe

It’s what rioters do; show that they won’t tolerate a black death by white cops, no matter the circumstances, while grabbing Nike shoes and big-screen T.V.s while they’re righteously outraged. I dare say that blacks actually look forward to these by-cops deaths as an opportunity to loot, not that they have a care about their unfortunate bros.

These incidents--by that, I mean the police misconduct--are local stories. They only gain national attention because of the race aspect and because someone died. The national media focus is what causes people to come out and riot and loot. I refuse to watch stories about these incidents that are happening elsewhere. Sorry Fox News.

i watched an American Experience show on PBS, on Sammy Davis, Jr. He was active in the legitimate civil rights movement, marched on Selma with MLK, appeared with King in the D.C. I have A Dream speech (which could be sub-titled, I stole This Speech From Another Pastor) but when MLK was shot, and blacks rioted and looted, Sammy became a Nixon supporter. Sammy said, after King's death, 'my people are grinning, laughing, and looting. They should be in sorrow for the loss of a great leader.' (not a precise quote, but darned near) Nixon, an advocate for black equality, invited Sammy to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom, the first black to do so.

Rodney King, Michael Gentle-Giant Brown, Freddie Whatshisname, George Floyd. These people create so many days of discount shopping that maybe we can do away with Black Friday. Or - they can adopt a policy of not committing crimes and ending up under a cop's knee. Adrenaline tends to kick in when one is dealing with an uncooperative hostile who is that big.

I never can understand the looting and arson. What goes through these people's minds? Do they not have any honor or morals at all? Target should close this store permanently and let them not have a place in their own neighborhood to shop. I certainly would not open it again. Target can do perfectly fine without them as customers.

The looters are betraying a deeply entrenched entitlement mentality, which has been bred by "progressives." They feel entitled to steal because of perceived injustices. Please note that some of the looters are white. This isn't a black problem. This is a Leftist problem. And this nation is in serious trouble. I fear Minneapolis will go into martial law, given the backdrop of anger that is throughout the political spectrum, with the pandemic fueling and exposing the flames. No doubt, some of the businesses that will be targeted are owned by people who were recently permitted to open. Imagine their anger and frustration when they are torched or looted just when they were trying to get back on their feet. Yes, this is a recipe for disaster.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. So it is “illegal” for me to invite any of my four kids to Thanksgiving dinner.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
