Cardi B says there was “no choice” but arson, looting, and violence by Minnesotans who are upset over the death of George Floyd. The rapper behind “Invasion of Privacy” made the comments as arsonists burned an AutoZone, ransacked a Target and liquor store, and resorted to violence over Monday’s viral footage of Mr. Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, with a white police officer kneeling on his neck. “They looting in Minnesota and as much as I don’t like this type of violence it is what it is,” the rapper told nearly 12 million Twitter followers. “Too much peaceful marches,

The Civil Rights Movement was so successful in the 1960s because the protesters were seen as being more peaceful and well-groomed than the so-called authorities. Today's activists could learn something from the way they did things back then.

Any sympathy I had for Minneapolis’ black community went out the window the second the looting and burning started. I’d bet that most of the looters, arsons and brick throwers couldn’t even tell you the name of the guy who had the knee on his neck. And still they wonder why they are over represented in prisons and why people cross the street when they approach. If they want to be taken seriously they need to learn to behave like humans instead of feral hyenas. And demonrat politicians need to quit enabling them like the idiot mayor saying that their “rage” was justified.

Killing an innocent man-bad. Destroying taxpayer purchased property, stealing televisions and tennis shoes, putting people out of work when you burn their workplaces down-good. Sewer rats all. One has to wonder if these people just bide time till something triggers them and gives them an excuse to leech off civil society.

Keith Ellison, AG Minnesota: It is legitimate for community members to be outraged by George Floyd’s death. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I strongly encourage everyone who wishes to exercise their First Amendment rights to protest to do so safely: use social distancing and wear a mask. These criminal haters just need a perceived excuse to let their criminal alter-egos emerge. George Floyd died Monday from a combination of preexisting health conditions exacerbated by being held down by Minneapolis officers, not from strangulation or asphyxiation, based on the medical examiner’s initial report. Preliminary findings from a Tuesday autopsy conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner found “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxiation or strangulation,” according to the criminal complaint filed Friday against former officer Derek Michael Chauvin. “Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease,” said the complaint from the Hennepin County Attorney. “The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by police,
