Attorney General William Barr has asked a federal attorney from Texas to review the practice of “unmasking” during the 2016 presidential election. The attorney, John Bash, is a U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas. The probe was announced Wednesday night by Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec on Fox News. Barr has asked Bash to focus on the unmasking, amid Connecticut federal prosecutor John Durham’s larger review of the federal government’s Russia collusion investigation.

Who WAS that masked man? Stay tuned for further indictments. Hi-yo, Silver - - away!

WTH? Barr is just asking questions about the unmasking of Trump and associates? It's quite obvious now that Barr's and Durham's investigations are a stall tactic to the next election and are not intended to go to go anywhere substantively. If Trump looses re-election then the new administration sweeps what's been done under a rug. If Trump wins, the clarion call for a new bipartisanship will begin to echo, and what has been done in the investigation will be droppedto appease our Dimocrat peers.

Any movement in the DOJ or FBI is because they know their jobs are at stake, and that Trump will fire them just as soon as his re-election is complete, if they have not done their jobs.

Well..... the good news is that a whole lot of people will have to lawyer up. And that costs money. And takes time. I dont care if your as clean as tge wind driven snow. Because when investigators start digging and asking questions, there will be a pucker factor. At a minimum, a lit of people will be forking over cash and sweat the outcome. Who will turn first?

Part of me would like to start the hangings at noon today (eastern time, 9 am pacific). And a lot of opportunities have been missed to nail a few folks to the wall. But if you look at it as a "revenge is a dish best served cold" idea, perhaps this is working. The deep state coup plotters have pretty well blown their whole load -- Russia collusion, Flynn, Manafort, Papadopolus, Carter Page, Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, FISA, Emoulments, Tax Returns, Herr Mueller and his Swamp Gestapo, unmasking, use of intelligence services/DOJ/FBI for political purposes, Steele dossier, Schiff/Ukraine, Impeachment farce. The only thing they haven't tried is getting him on tearing off those "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Federal Law" tags off his hotel mattresses. Heck, they've used the somewhat-deadly COVID-19 to try and wreck the US Economy for political purposes. My count is that they have two wins (2018 House and the Flynn "guilty plea") and a lot of losses. And one of those wins (Flynn) is moving to the loss column pretty soon. All the "obstruction" arguments that could be used are pretty well no longer valid. Now it's time for our side. The documents showing the crimes committed and the lies told are coming out. It would be nice to see a couple 6 am Roger Stone-style arrest raids on FOX some morning, but we'll have to wait on those. As long as the prosecutors can keep the deep state coup plotter trials out of Washington DC and New York City, I think we're good. That and keep that "all hat no cattle" Lyndsey Graham off TV. Let's get some of the "just following orders" underlings to realize that they shouldn't take the rap for Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein, etc. I'll live with Obama, Biden, and Hillary Clinton as "unindicted co-conspirators."

There are three issues that that need to be investigated thoroughly. Was any request for unmasking of Flynn or anyone else improperly motivated? Did anyone leak Flynn's identity based on the unmasking? Third is the illegal recording of Flynn phone call with the ambassador when he was out of the country (likely by a foreign intelligence source, and not via a FISA order) which was sent to Obama and distributed by him out to the CIA, FBI, DOJ, and maliciously and illegally leaked to David Ignatius of WAPO. These events were known to all in Jan 2017. It's now 40 months later. What wasn't the investigation started Feb 2017?

I suppose the naysayers haven't figured out that Barr and Durham need to dot their "i's" and cross their "t's" with all of this. You know why I have this opinion? Judge Sullivan with the Michael Flynn situation. I guess I don't need to comment anymore. . .

When I see all of the doubt expressed about Barr, I read that as underlying doubt expressed about President Trump. While all great leaders delegate, they also stay on top of seeing that their strategic objectives are being pursued and met.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam drew criticism Saturday after he was captured on social media photos without a mask while mingling with constituents on a beach. The episode at Virginia Beach came one day after Northam reportedly began contemplating a mandatory mask rule for Commonwealth citizens when it reopens from the pandemic. The order would require masks in indoor settings. "Virginia Gov Northam on the Virginia Beach boardwalk; no mask, no social distancing," one citizen tweeted. Another complained: "Liberals consistently send a message of 'Do as I say, not as I do.'"

Residents of the American south are bracing for the emergence of a new brood of 17-year cicadas, the exceedingly noisy insects that fill the summer air with their loud mating calls nearly every two decades. Southerners may soon be treated to "a cacophonous whining like a field of out-of-tune car radios," Virginia Tech announced this week. The bugs live in underground burrows, slowly maturing over their 17-year life cycle, before emerging for about a month to mate, after which they quickly die. The relatively brief adult life of the cicadas is nevertheless notable from the outsized noise levels they generate over the course of about four weeks.

In 1995, Sharpton's protest against the "white interloper" who ran Freddy's Fashion Mart in Harlem led to a fire where seven people died of smoke inhalation (and the arsonist shot himself). Discussing the rioting in Minneapolis on today's Morning Joe, Al Sharpton began by telling protesters that the goal of a fair criminal justice system wouldn't be achieved by "appearing" to be criminal themselves. He warned that people would "exploit" that. A clearly upset Sharpton then said: "As I walked around Minneapolis yesterday . . .
