Donald Trump’s tweets suggesting Joe Scarborough somehow murdered a young woman who died of natural causes nearly 20 years ago are reprehensible. This is in no way because these tweets defame Scarborough. It’s pretty hard to feel bad for a guy whose media presence enabled Trump’s political rise to the point he openly flirted with running as his vice president before making a comic heel turn against Trump. (In fact, back when Scarborough was playing footsie with Trump, left-wing blogs were trafficking in this repugnant conspiracy.) Trump’s tweets are awful because of how they have thrust the deceased girl’s memory and her family into the limelight.

Re: Pres. Trump's tweets
FTA: It’s exactly the kind of behavior I feared Trump was capable of in 2016 and loomed large in my mind when I made the decision not to vote for him.
Go away Mark.

...just because she may ( of may not) have died from "natural causes" (...??... there NO evidence that she even knew the clintons..??)....doesn't mean that Faux Joe wasn't banging the help.....look who he sits next to each day on his show ...

A non-vote for President Trump was a vote for hillary, but I'm sure Mark, as smart as he is, knew that. Anyway, wrong on the tweets; it's an effective tactic used to crush the enemy. Scarborough can take care of himself; if he can dish it, he can take it. None of us can be 100% protected from being hurt by something someone says. What about PDT's family and all they go through at the hands of the media and the loathsome dem pols? You don't have to slam Trump to make a point before you get to the media and politicians. They are disgusting all by themselves. While you try to be middle of the road with your we all do it and let's just get along and be nice to each other, leftists are destroying our freedoms and rights left and right. Get yo' life, and write about something worthwhile. Pick a side.

I am a conservative republican and Trump voter but have to say that I am, once again, appalled by his behavior............Trump is doing what needs to be done in the country, an attempt to save us, but he is being an undisciplined bully here and is turning off many who would otherwise check his box in the Presidential election.....and he cannot afford that when he already has a press corps out to get him. He is being totally disgusting, and if history repeats itself (editorial in Wall Street Journal today on this) will just double down!!!! What he should/could do is say he believes what he believes but will refrain from this barrage because of the pain it is causing the woman's family.show some dignity and compassion, President Trump!

I do remember that Joe was elected to office and served for a short while, then suddenly quit and had some kind of nervous breakdown/mental event. Never did get all the story behind that. Was it related to the murder/death of the girl?

#4..I too am a President Trump supporter. His remarks, on and off the net, are fresh and invigorating to me. I have waited since 1960 for a person that fought the rot and filth thrown by the democrats and their handmaidens. President Trump is owned and beholden to no one, except us, his supporters. To me, this is what fighting back against an unholy evil that is in Americas blood looks like. I will stand with President Trump through every attempt to destroy him and US, the last Americans.

I am with you #6 and I bet we are far and away the majority too. I tire of conservatives who never work up the same sort of froth over the silence, spinning and CYA behavior of top Republicans. If there was not something to hide, not something to HIDE, this woman’s family would not have spoken up. As Kayleigh McEnany said, nobody said one single word when the lady was mocked and laughed at on MSNBC. I guess her family did not care about that? I guess some don’t care if America fades under Chinese aggression, the DC blob finishes taking our liberties, etc. as long as we have a President with their favorite Republican etiquette. A rough Churchill is needed now not a wimpy Bush.

I support President Trump and pray for him everyday. He has a big ego, if he didn't he would have never gotten this far in life. It is a off putting when he attacks back, ( well justified) with National Enquirer level mud. I can live wtih it.
Obama was evil and puts on this smooth front while doing real damage and attacking and ruining people he has grudges against, ( Flynn to name just one). The left is all about how a person looks and they just adore the phony and dangerous 0bamas. Who failed at every single things they did in the WH.
School lunches, clunkers for cash, shovel ready jobs, giving guns to Mexico, Benghazi, Obama chose a policy of appeasement and cash payoffs to Iran, just to name a few. Slick to our faces and pure destruction behind our backs of our country.

See the thing is, if she died of natural causes, why did Joe resign? Only the guilty have something to hide, and Joe is hiding something. We all know that coroners are loathe to rock the boat when it comes to politically or Hollywood powerful types. Prime example would be how Natalie Wood's death has seemingly been swept under the rug, and her husband at the time, Robert Wagner was never even brought in and questioned. How many of us regular folks would be accorded that kind of liberty? Joe's own behavior speaks volumes, and says there is something dodgy in all of this.

I support Trump. I like what he says, and how he says it. My thanks to Trump for speaking directly to the public with his Tweets. It tells us exactly what he thinks, and I appreciate it.

You aware that the coroner in the case years later was brought up on charges of falsifying coroner reports. Just because Joe Scarborough was a politician doesn't mean due process in the case. Read about it - the family says she was healthy but Joe Scarborough stated she had underlying health conditions.
To all of you posters on this site that are offended by President Trump's tweets, I have one question for you. How would you handle this if your character or reputation was at stake? Sit by and let everyone damage you? You all can talk big when it is someone else's character. I wouldn't have the patience that President Trump has and, at times, I think he is too nice. Appalled, undisciplined bully etc., oh please, your definition must be skewed.

Scarborough lies about Trump on national TV everyday without any adverse reaction from the so-called mainstream (liberal) media. In contrast Trump brings up one old left wing conspiracy theory that could be adverse to Scarborough on Twitter and the media goes nuts. So is there bias in the media, you judge?

Funny how the author demonstrates his moral superiority saying Trump should not bring up the memory of this woman, while CONTINUING to bring up the memory of the woman in order to show his moral superiority!!! Do these people ever consider how they caricature themselves?

Intemperate as his tweet may be, Trump remains one thing if nothing else: transparent. He can and does exaggerate, brag, and self-market to benefit his public standing, but I cannot think of any so-called "reprehensible" tweet or statement he has made that does not contain a decent thread of truth to it. He railed very early on about Obama being a "bad or sick guy" when he tweeted that Obama had "wiretapped" him. And of course Trump was criticized extensively for how stupid he must be for using the word wiretap all while the subject of Obama doing something nefarious was ignored completely.
I may or may not care about what Scarborough did or didn't do, but Trump knows something we probably do not know about this old case, and I doubt he would take the public risk of condemnation about something that isn't exactly national news, if he didn't know more than what's already public. He is attacking an attacker (Scarborough), something he is known to do and something that has been successful for him and for us ever since he decided to ruin for the presidency. The writers in the Swamp area would never do what Trump does because they are so righteous ... so proper, don't you know. But Trump is not one of them and thank God he isn't. He's definitely not perfect, doesn't claim to be despite his bragging, but he's so damn much better than the chattering class of elitists who have driven our nation into bankruptcy, cultural derision, and close to tyranny. I'll take a questionable tweet from Trump ten times over every day if he can drain the Swamp that is killing our nation. Thank You President Trump.

Time to put these treasonist thugs in front of a firing squad. They have done the most to try and take out the best and most productive President in the history of our nation.

I'm with #4. This sort of tweet storm is not productive and turns off many who would otherwise be Trump supportive. Forget Joe Scarborough, Sir. He's of no importance.

WHile I am not going to give Trump a gold star over this topic. nor am I going to worry about it that much. Scarborough and his sidekick, Karen, are always lying about Trump and his administration. Trump slapped them back and got carried away. Boo Hoo.
Hemingway can bemoan the loss of decorum and desire "virtuous" behavior but that is the call of the PC crowd that wants to squelch speech they disagree with. Republicans following Hemingway's path find themselves marginalized as any forceful complaint they make isn't "virtuous" yet no matter what dems say, they somehow are excused. When the media/dems/Left gets to call balls and strikes, Republicans are always struck out and the Left always gets to take a free base.
Yes, Trump is aggressive and occasionally missteps. However, I am fine with that. When the dems/media/Left firmly establish a respectable stance for discussion and maintain it, we can have a chat about what Trump might be careful about saying. To be honest, I doubt it would be necessary.

There are several posters--namely 6,7 and 8--who speak for me. I would far rather have a President who tells the truth, no matter how coarsely, than one who lies, no matter how civilly.

If raising questions about a very suspicious death in a congressmans' office is the deciding factor on who you vote for President, please don't vote. You are simply pathetic.
