Barack and Michelle Obama's presidential and first lady portraits will not be unveiled and hung in the White House until Donald Trump is out of office, a Tuesday morning report revealed. The long-held tradition of current presidents attending the unveiling ceremony of the portraits of their predecessors and their wives during their first term will be skipped during this presidency due to the bitter feud between Trump and Obama, people familiar with the matter told NBC News.If Trump wins a second term in November, Obama may have to wait until 2025 to have his portrait revealed and displayed in the White House among every U.S. president before him.

'We may have our differences politically, but the presidency transcends those differences,'
Well, Obama seemed to think that he transcended the presidency and he acted outside the bounds of it.
And those portraits! Check out museumofbadart.org.

Due to Obama's petulance, they'll never hang there then, with 4 more years of DJT, 8 years of Mike Pence to follow and the 8 following that with Jim Jordan.

Hang 'em in the National African American museum in DC. Let Trump make America great again. Let Obambi revel in the adoration of his devoted quota base. Win win for everyone.

BTW --- what happened to the "King's English" in this headline? "...two president's..." (not presidents') ?

FTA:
Obama, people familiar with the matter said, has no interest in participating in the post-presidency tradition as long as Trump is in office – and Trump has no qualms with snubbing a presidential custom.
This had to have come from Obama. Now the degenerating degenerates will have to wait to have their portraits painted and hung in the WH. They will add nothing to the lovely decor. Mercifully, they will be more traditional in style than those cartoons the Obamas had done before they left. Or we thought they’d left...

This is all coming from the Obomination administration, and the pettiness that seems to exude from it.
Just shows they didn't embrace the Office of the President of the United States, only the political power it provided in their effort to fundamentally transform the United States.
I remember when Obama stated his objective, and many likely heard it to mean mend the racial divide, offer hope, maybe some real change in the inner-cities.
It's obvious, it's not anything close to what he meant.

As far as I'm concerned, if the WH portraits are the abominations currently hanging in the National Portrait Gallery (or anything like them), they can keep them off the walls of the White House forever. #18's description of both is on point.

The Daily Mail consistently has two missions. They are virulently anti-American when we dare to have less than a lefty in our Oval office. They and the idiot Senior Royals all adored Obama so this is just typical carrying water for them. The readers of the Daily Mail are so brainwashed socialist that they cannot even understand a man like President Trump.

I would put the portraits on loan to the US Ambassador to Israel. Let the portraits be hung in a very prominent location in our JERUSALEM Embassy.
Of course Hussein had absolutely nothing to do with moving the Embassy to Jerusalem and is bitterly opposed to it.
How great would it be to give muslim Obama a constant reminder that his portrait being hung with "those Jews"?
That would be Trump's best troll yet.

The artist Mike choose to paint her is primarily know for the political aspects of her work. The art is way down the list and it shows. The colors are drained and faded into a pale pastel mess. Looks flat and nothing like Mike. Not primitive, not interesting, just some kind of awkward, unfinished under-painting. Not worthy of being in the collection, but it is reflective of Mike's worthlessness as a First Lady.
The dopey portrait of Barry was done by a flamboyant painter known for his use of 'interns' to paint most of his work. He flits in at the end to add some flourishes and signs it, but someone else did it. Again, very reflective of the 'achievements ' of BO 2 terms. In terms of Art History and joining the collection, BO's pose is the goofiest possible. It's like a bad joke in some horrible alternative universe, yet it is real. Please, let justice prevail and we will all see the biggest fraud in history and can get to work scrubbing the BO stain from every area he infected.
