About a month into the pandemic, a friend of mine made the perfect observation about human nature during this crisis: We won’t all get infected by the coronavirus, but we’ve all been exposed. That, luckily, includes thousands of people who have been exposed as kind, generous and community minded. People like the newspaper deliveryman bringing people their groceries for free, or the pizzeria owner who took out a line of credit to keep paying his employees, or the teenager who is delivering hot meals to overworked funeral home directors.

Mirror, Steve, mirror. Government "experts" are the main problem and the media is part of the problem. Americans got it right this time.

It also exposes those who are opposed to freedom and liberty. You know, the same ones who have been champions of the anti-bullying campaign who are now bullying people who don't want to wear a mask.

'experts' who troll deep pockets for cash, and who will say anything they are paid to say are the problem. And in an effort to damage Trump, the media just swallows the BS hook, line and sinker in support. The media fear mongering is responsible for a majority of the problems right now, and no getting around your culpability Stevie.

The gym owner’s business IS more important than the “greater good.” This guy’s statement starkly frames the divide we face in America. We are not socialists. We refuse to be socialists. Yet this guy thinks we already are.

In sum; we will listen to and consider reason (15 days to lower the curve), but when that reason is proven to be false, we won't suffer fools for long.

What a wuss Steve Politi is. This is no American, even though he was born and raised here. Submitting to Authority is not CONSTITUTIONAL when it's demonstrably in conflict with policies in place. If liquor stores and pot dispensaries are open then why not gyms? It makes no sense. Steve seems to like being told what to do-go fetch, Steve! Sit! Stay! Play dead! Imagine this doofus on a wagon train headed westward thru Injun' territory. Would you surrender, soyboy?

You Lefties, as usual, are wrong. Junk Science or not, Authority derives from trust and responsibility. You Lefties have abused the public trust and abused your authority so flagrantly, that We the People are about to bite you back.
Have you ever heard the fable of the Boy who cried Wolf? Chicken Little? The Emperor's New Clothes?
There is a fair amount of wisdom in the old fables. You people have lied to us. You've tried to panic us, and you've claimed your decisions and reasoning were above reproach. But we've seen otherwise. Now, it may be unwise for these store owners to open up, but you've wated your authority in past lies and manipulations.
You've dug your graves. Can you finish that paraphrase?

Oh shut up moron. Anyone with a bit of common sense understood from the beginning that the people at risk were a small percentage of the population. They could have easily been isolated and protected without punishing the rest of the nation. Idiots seized control and for the first time I'm disappointed in President Trump. I know he felt he had to do it with the rest of the world buying into 'pandemic' panic and with almost zero political support in DC, but the shutdown was wrong and unnecessary. Ask yourself, why aren't we always wearing masks 24/7 because prior to this flu chemo patients, transplant patients and other high risk individuals were near us. They took precautions, NOT everyone else.
This is/was a bad flu, but it is not ebola, polio, smallpox, etc. When measles swept thru the country, we did not shut it down. Same for polio. This unprecedented overreaction was totally a globalist/rat attack on the American economy. Even if it was accidentally released and not bio-warfare, as soon as the crisis could be used for political purposes, it was. Just like the worn out nonsense about rats being for the 'working' man. They use them like pawns and the worse things get for them, the better for writers like this dope and his media owners. The best friend of the working man is President Trump who, until this Spring, created an economic movement that gave the working class more money and more career options than all the decades of rat lies.

The truth is there are people that would sacrifice everyone around them for their own personal safety. They would keep the country locked down for their own personal safety. They don't care if it hurts millions. Their safety comes first. That is the attitude driving the lockdown.

So far, every dire prediction about this virus has been wrong. It hasn't wiped out humanity as predicted. It isn't spreading like welfar eto illegals, in a Sanctuary City, it isn't causing our health system to collapse. However, the responce by goobernment has killed and harmed just about everyone in this country. The probblem isn't citizens, it goobernment!

Sadly, Steve Politi is likely a product of the American public education system where he was taught proper grammar, but not taught to think for himself, nor to be thankful for the freedom this country used to provide citizens.

This is the Ledger which people read just to go on the comments section to point out their poor touch with reality. They now closed that down because they couldn't take the criticism and have taken to begging for subscriptions to stay in business.

Mr. Politi..big words coming from someone bringing home a paycheck every week. Get back to us when you've been classified as 'nonessential' and have to stand in line at a food bank.

Another liberal fool who thinks the government cares about him. It is this hand wringing and pearl clutching that is 'part of the problem'. He is totally out of touch with reality - and obviously still employed. The rest of America cannot go on like this and honestly I am not that concerned with the 'common good'. I am not the country's nanny and would not presume to lecture my fellow citizens on what they should or should not do. Nor do I give two mouse droppings about this snowflake's personal opinions.

For Mr. Politi, let's get one thing straight. People do not have to go to this guy's gym. They make an adult choice to go and work out. If no one shows up, the gym closes its doors. You are upset because, like the fascist you are, Mr. Smith wasn't following orders. That is what is bugging you. And if I hear Governor Murphy talk about "blessed souls" who have lost their lives due to the Chinese flu one more time, I will really flip out!

The selfish people are the ones who expect us to ruin our lives and livelihoods because they're afraid. If you are so frightened then stay home but you don't have the right to tell me what to do because there's a very slim chance you get Covid and an even slimmer chance it will kill you. Reality check scaredy cat morons! We're all going to die! Some of us would prefer to spend the rest of the lives we have actually living.
I don't think the "Karens" care about anyone's safety but their own. Unfortunately for us they expect us to provide it for them. There are two good things about this is. I don't have to worry about them getting too close to me, and now we know who the Nazis are.
