An Oregon salon owner and mother who reopened her doors in defiance of a coronavirus-related state lockdown alleged that her son was paid a visit this month by Child Protective Services. Lindsey Graham, owner of the Glamour Salon in Salem, reopened her business on May 5 despite being deemed “nonessential” under Gov. Kate Brown’s executive orders in March.(Snip)
Ms. Graham told the Salem Statesman Journal that CPS officials interviewed her 6-year-old son without allowing her or her husband to be present. She said health agencies have also threatened to revoke her licenses. “I’m risking going to jail to do it,” she said.

I've watched enough TV crime dramas to know an adult has to be present. I hope she finds an atty who gets her a chain of salons.

This is no longer America the free. It is fast becoming Russia the oppressed thanks to the Socialist/Communist governors and mayors in charge.

The day when bullets start flying is drawing closer. This communist takeover is pushing decent people to the brink. Trying to take someone's kids away would definitely be a Concord Bridge moment for many of us.

ALL government employees are being paid. They couldn't care less about small businesses going broke and people having to work to feed their families.

Let's not forget, this is a government people voted for. While some see this as tyranny, many others see as prudent behavior in a time of deadly crisis. We turn to H.L. Mencken's view of democracy:
"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."
Well, now they are...to the great satisfaction of many and the chagrin of others.

I agree with poster #1: At the very least, there must be a trusted adult present for any questioning of a child. Otherwise you end up with huge miscarriages of Justice. Children tend to tell you what they think you want to hear and are very easily led.
This is criminal behavior on the part of the Oregon CPS.

Poster #6 pointed out that the people got what they voted for. This... may or may not be true. We know that in past elections, some districts in PA had no reported votes for Republicans. Districts in Illinois have ended u with 105% to 115% voter participation. In Florida, Democrat Election officials were caught with a machine that would print counterfeit ballots in their trunk.
I have to sincerely ask, "Do we have the America, we voted for?"

Who does Governor Brown's hair? The mayor of Chicago had her own secret trips to the beauty parlor. Does Brown? I know of at least one stylist secretly still doing hair for select clients, and I suspect many beauticians are quietly running their own "speakeasy" salons. I don't blame them. But if we had anything like real journalism left in our MSM, they would demand to know who does Brown's own hair. In fact, here she is on May 15. Who did her hair? In fact, here she is on May 15. Who did her hair? https://www.usnews.com/.../thumbnail/970x647/quality/85/

Messing with someone's children is a good way to get a snapback that is much harder than these thugs expected.
That these thugs with CPS were not harmed when they were on their mission of criminal mischief is a statement of our respect for the law. That is NOT entirely without limits, though.

Sending that message to anyone else who decides to not obey the edict of government. This is not just today, but in the future too.
If CPS (a fine, well-run government agency that police are thrilled to recommend s/) indeed interviewed her child without legal counsel or the child's legal adult parent, then I'd recommend she find a very good lawyer.

FTA: ″'[She] is unquestionably operating in violation of the governor’s executive order, designed to protect workers and the public.... Our jurisdiction is indeed limited to exposure of employees, but as many employers in industries such as construction have learned, not everyone whose employer refers to them as an independent contractor actually falls outside our jurisdiction...."

Someone needs to clobber these arrogant juris-dictators. In the meantime, thanks to #14 for raising the essential question, as always. The GoFundMe link is at the bottom of the article. I've copied it below.

Article is woefully devoid of the most important information. The implication is that CPS was sent because of her defiance of the governor. The critical question is "Why was CPS sent to her home?". If the government sent them as a strong arm tactic to force her to comply, then they have committed an act of unforgivable tyranny. If CPS was sent for another, legitimate reason and there is history of domestic abuse, then the two may be unrelated and this story is simply a false flag.

Fair warning: do not vote for leftists (even if disguised as "a liberal"). We are seeing what they do (on the Homefront; plenty of history there for those willing to open their eyes) when they're given what they interpret as unlimited powers. oh yeah, "for the good of the people" sure. "'for our own good, cuz of THE VIRUS".
As for haircuts, don't forget Laurie Lightfoot, Chicago's mayor, who explained her salon visit as "necessary for person hygiene", which she "takes very seriously" and she's in the public eye. And YOU'RE NOT! ha!
Long ago the ACLU showed its true nature. Don't look to them or hope for any support from them. They are on the side of the powerful and well-connected. They could not care less than they do for our Constitution. how quaint we are, eh?
I would, however, tell this woman to contact Harmeet Dhillon, a brilliant lawyer (she's in CA). She has just established a legal defense organization on the "right", to support victims of tyrannical government.
Look her up:
Center for American Liberty. (San Diego)
I don't know what might be solved, but someone needs to get help to individuals whose Constitutional Rights are being trampled, and they are too exhausted, depressed, beaten-down to search it out for themselves.
