I'd really like to know why it was classified in the first place.

Dems really should have let this go. Getting that new judge to reopen this was a REALLY bad idea.

They were listening in on what Flynn discussed. They knew nothing untoward was being done. Talking "frequently" to the Russian ambassador, basically more than Comey wanted him to, is not a justification to withhold information. If there were any real concerns, the normal thing to do would have been to provide a security briefing. Flynn is a security expert. He probably knew more than Comey about interaction with foreign representatives. There was no briefing because nothing was going on. Flynn would have found them amusing. Instead, the real purpose of all this "concern" was to fig leaf justify continued spying on Flynn in an effort to entrap him. Flynn refused to do anything stupid so they faked up charges. DOJ just said the obvious, that they had NO REASON to investigate Flynn and should not have interviewed him to no purpose to begin with. Since there was no legitimate investigation, Flynn could have lied with everything he said and it would not have been material so no crime could have been committed.
Comey and BO knew this investigation was bogus. BO was looking to get some petty revenge for Flynn publicly disagreeing with him when he was in the administration. That pettiness is now about to bite BO in the tuchus. Karma.

Too much stuff is classified to keep it from American citizens, and that's what this is about. Our government was not designed to be a secret from it's citizens, but our legislators, both Democrat and Republican, are into hiding things big-time. This should stop!! Mush of it is likely done so we don't know they are stealing the country blind.
Strange, no reporter, None, ever asks why they classify so much. I don't believe today's reporting class have the common sense of a fifth grader!! Ever notice how stupid most of then sound when talking?

With all this talk of no criminal charges against all these heinous perps, how about this.
Present their criminality in a way that would strip them of all their perks, demand they must admit to their criminal actions and slink off to lives out of the public sector. Let them be the ones to initiate court proceedings if they think their names are worth salvaging. I for one dare them.

Yes, all of this is highly suspicious. Unfortunately, unless AG Barr appoints a special prosecutor to actually go after these perps, the media/DNC/BigTech axis will ensure none of this reaches the lemmings.

Sen. Johnson, you might also ask AG Barr why he believes Obie has done nothing wrong as Barr expressed the other day. What was Barr threatened with? Arkancide perhaps?

#6 re: too much classified.I
While in the Navy in the '60s I was a Fire Control technician working on a Gun Fire Control System of late1940s vintage which was still classified as secret. I had to shake my head and think the Ruskies must be really stupid if they can't figure this thing out.
I worked for the "largest defense contractor in the world" and saw similar classied nonsense.
Meanwhile the Chinese are stealing the really good stuff from Gov't run National Labs.

That's nice. What's anybody gonna do about it? Absolutely nothing.

I can't speak for the rest of Barr's investigation but I see no smoking gun here that would get anyone indicted. These guys have covered their tracks well - suspicious of frequent contact between the incoming NSA and the Russian ambassador so the FBI watches things closely. It's their job. The only weird part is where the outgoing President appears to green-light the FBI director to act independently and outside the incoming chain of command. Anything after 1/20/17 needs to be explained by comey.

Well #9, I used to think that way too as the supposed good guys bail from their oaths and moral responsibilities in elite Washington D.C. I do not buy it anymore. Our AG weighed everything and made his choice. The perks, social circles and juicy government careers for his family are just too good after being there thirty some years. AG Barr simply made a choice. He decided which side to come down on. His bread is buttered not by our President Trump but by his long time Deep State pals.

Exactly right #11, and after all is discussed and debated ad nauseum, that really is all that matters in the end. Just another set of unbelievably horrific crimes and immoral acts committed by the highest officials in our land going unpunished.

The first article on the side is more interesting. It's all about mail in voter fraud perpetuated on republicans in Oregon. Nope, no fraud going on with mail-in ballots.
