Actor James Woods got the direct attention of President Donald Trump after staunchly defending him on social media as someone who “loves America more than any president in my lifetime.” The conservative actor praised the president on Sunday after a weekend of calling out Democrats on Twitter, and slamming former President Obama who took cheap shots at the Trump administration’s coronavirus response.(Photo) “Let’s face it. Donald Trump is a rough individual,” Woods tweeted to his 2.73 million followers on Sunday afternoon.“He is vain, insensitive and raw. But he loves America more than any President in my lifetime,”

Yes, Trump is rough. But he is a fighter, and he is standing between us and disaster by the democrats. Kid gloves and niceties would not work right now. We finally have a president who actually responds to US, not to the donors and all that bunch. I would take Trump anytime over any other candidate of my lifetime, all the way back to Reagan. But lately, I have been thinking that Trump is even outdoing Reagan as well. Reagan certainly never had the level of vitriol to deal with that Trump does right now.

I'm pretty sure James Woods was alive during Reagan's Administration, and Dubya loved America quite a bit. But aside from the needless ranking of "who loves America the most," I support Woods' enthusiastic Trump boosterism.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "rough individual" is because I view Donald Trump as stating the truth and I guess for some individuals that could be painful. I do not view him as rough. . .

Since the commies deliberately disrupted the first three years of his first term, limiting what he could have done, I think we need to make their heads explode by pushing for the passage of an amendment allowing only President Trump to run for as many terms as he wants to, and we'll decide when we've had enough via the voting booth. Sort of an anti-FDR.

Nice of Woods to say so but I followed Ronald Reagan over too many years to put President Trump above him in the love America category. Reagan's powerful evangelizing of conservative American values, centered on his love of this country, even turned a slew of democrats, including young college students, away from the creeping embrace of communism that permeates leftist thought; however, I'm pulling strongly for Trump to exceed Reagan's accomplishments as president.

James Woods nails it again! I don’t know if you are aware, #1, but Rd Rollins and even Michael Reagan have basically said as much when comparing the two presidents.
Trump is miles above the last four leaders of our country. They loved America but not to where they were willing to risk THEIR personal fortunes, work far more than the average President, or return their entire presidential paycheck back to the American people. He may be raw but he stands head and shoulders above the Bushes and Clintons. (Yes, I put those two families together since they are such good buddies.)

Trump has wide-ranging refinements and studs on his gloves. How would any of us do it?

I would say it's a tie with Trump, Reagan, Lincoln, and Washington as to who loves America the most. Of course, we can give the undisputed title as to what President hates America the most of all to the King of The Putting Green, Barry Zero Hero Obozo.

Yes, Reagan loved America. But he wasn’t willing to fight the swamp like Trump does. For that reason alone, Woods is correct.

I do believe that Reagan truly loved this country. Ditto the Bushs, given their military service.
But, hands down, Trump is better at it than they were. I never thought I would see the likes of the Gipper again... but Trump is actually better for this country.

As our Sacred Constitution was somewhat ignored in order to seat BO in the highest chair of the land, to be able to elect POTUS DJT as often as we see the necessity should be a standard of common sense. Imagine all he might have accomplished without the unlawful shenanigans of Bo and his motley crew; though doing the best he could do, he did manage to be successful on numerous levels.

When the real story of the most polished, deified, just wonderful in every way JFK, came out, the bar was lowered quite a bit for decorum in the WH. I don't care how much President Trump belittles people, yells at them, whatever. Here is the thing to keep in mind, he DIDN'T sleep with a Mafioso girlfriend while President! That is just for starters. JFK is the standard for witty, Presidential, bla, bla, bla. He was a drugged up weirdo, along with every other rat President since.
Nixon, Ford and Bushes all had communication issues. Reagan did so well because he was an actor who knew how to use the media in spite of them. Also here is a news flash for people whining about Trump's vanity, EVERY President was vain, but only 3 of them donated their entire salary to charity, JFK, Herbert Hoover and Donald Trump. Leftists like to claim BO donated his salary, but like the weasels they are they don't say PART of his salary. He still kept $2.1 million for himself. In a culture where every non network TV show drops the F bomb 10 times a minute, Donald Trump is the essence of decorum.

I love that junkyard dog; a man after my own heart. Maybe we needed a businessman all along. Reagan was good but he never had the opposition and deceit Trump has put up with.
