Mandatory coronavirus vaccination
looming on the horizon

Original Article

The reports during the past two days that President Trump has engaged the military in a project called Operation Warp Speed to fast track a Covid-19 vaccine – which is being compared to the World War Two Manhattan Project to develop a nuclear weapon – feels like the final blow. (snip) President Trump’s promise of a vaccine yesterday implies words like mandate, monitoring, and immunity passports. Contact tracing and tens of thousands of new government workers to spy on and enforce compliance with that unproven strategy which came out of nowhere last month were bad enough. Now we have the next and possibly the final chapter

Polio vaccine was mandatory for schoolchildren in the 50s. Stopped polio in its tracks. And yes, sometimes public health steps on individual liberty. I’m sure every Typhoid Mary who was ever forcibly quarantined was outraged about it. This crap that’s going on right now has got to stop. We have to do whatever we have to to get things back to normal. What’s wrong with vaccines for our elderly and compromised individuals? Voluntary for everyone else. Oops. I just talked myself out of mandatory compliance.

I never heard President Trump say that this vaccine would be mandatory. I really thing the author is way off line. I believe the military is partnering with outside companies to come up with a vaccine....fast. Why not. Fort Detrick could be involved. You don't want Fauci or Brix or CDC involved because we would never see a vaccine.

Sorry. I dont do mandatory. This is not polio. The vast majority of the problem has not been caused by the disease, it has been caused by the sheeps' reaction to it. You want the vaccine? By all means get it. If you force it on me you are wrong and you are my enemy.

I would say to Mr. Chowka yes, we hear a dictatorial tone in the media, and insinuations of much mandatory this and that over the last three months. However, I do not hear from President Trump that I will be held down and given a shot against my will. The you tube stories from nurses, physicians and medical examiners reporting to us from hospital COVID units is what should scare all of us. I believe them that for financial reasons, people are being put on ventilators and there is widespread lying to the American people. I believe hydrochloroquine is being denied for purely political reasons.

That's what the media does; puts words in the mouths of others, words that were never said or even implied. Too much like Dan rather. Fake, but could be true! Seems to me that contract tracing and unproven strategy are the things dem governors are guilty of. Yet he puts that on President Trump. How many will read that and believe it? Just another journalist telling us things he alone knows, but we must believe him.

Making something available and requiring its use are two very different things. It will take a lot to convince me to take a new vaccine that was hurried into production knowing the hitting average of our so-called medical professionals.

I’ve never had a flu shot and never will and I’m over 65. No way would I ever submit to getting any vaccine for CV19. If it gets to the point where they are trying to force us, we can fall back on the “right to privacy” that Blackmun found in the Constitution in order to make Roe v Wade the law of the land. “My body, my choice.”

And would those vaccines by any chance be manufactured by, and to the enrichment of, our favorite snarkobillionaire, Bill Gates? I think Stockman is right, PDJT needs to wake up to the way he is being manipulated by these two sawbones. If they get their way, older Americans---but most particularly Conservatives---will for their own safety be herded into camps: Fauchwitz and Birxenau.

It would be impossible for the Feds (or even State governments) to make a vaccine ‘mandatory’. This is a rather hysterical article. How would they enforce this? How would they pay for the liability of sickness or even death from people being injected with a live virus? Especially one that has been fast tracked through clinical trials? This would be political suicide. Not going to happen.

It is NOT mandatory. The president said so himself. He talked about vaccines, therapeutics and the virus just dying out. i heard it with my own ears. Sheeze. He SAID some people will not take the vaccine when asked how many will be produced. I am surprised at American Thinker for publishing this blatantly false notion.

I would like to refuse vaccination. The problem for me is that I work in health care. My employer will require that I get it if the powers that be, decide that I need it. Currently I am required to take a flu shot. If I don't have a legitimate reason (allergy, for example), my options are take the shot or be terminated. Not really an option at all. Many other people would be in the same position as me.

Too many servicemen and people in poor countries are too often used as guinea pigs with bad results. And what do Fauchi and Gates stand to gain financially from this? The government always overpays for what they buy, think $600 toilet seats.

I remember standing in line at the local high school to receive the polio vaccine. As I recall, the vaccine was given to each person in the form of a sugar cube which had a purple or blue dot, and the cube was in a small paper cup. One popped the sugar cube into one's mouth and moved on. That was it. No more polio.

What follows are tattoos on our arms and carry papers to cross state lines. This is some dreaming by the democrats to control. 'Mandatory' that stopped me right there. During the Vietnam war we were given some vaccination before going overseas. High fever swelling in the area of the shot and barracks for two days. I don't know what that was but I'm not taking that at my old age. Give the vaccine to all of Congress first and get back to me with the results. I took the polio vaccine 'mandatory' at the time but I don't trust the government anymore 'to do the right thing' but I do admire President's Trump's vision not so much the Scarf Lady and Fauci along with the CDC.

We have a redundancy of autocratic Democrat governors and mayors that will make it mandatory. I will not take the vaccine. Politicians practicing medicine is not very impressive. Every person's biology is different, which is why you go to a doctor and have individualized healthcare, sometimes going through many alternatives before finding the doctor and treatment that is best for you. I don't think a one size fits all pushed by politicians is going to work for a general population. Every vaccine, including the flu, has some adverse affects on a certain percentage of the population. So much for every life matters.

There is a deeper story at work here. Can anyone else say Mark of the Beast? If they are going to make people's lives totally dependent on getting some kind of chip, passport, or other 'Mark', we are moving into end times territory here. That is not tin foil, that is called Biblical prophesy. How people deal with this will be up to them, and will ultimately be between them and God. Given how Fauci promised a still nonexistent AIDS vaccine about 34 years ago, we can pretty much be assured that if he is involved, we will never see a vaccine for this virus either.

I don't have a problem with this. I don't wear a mask. I went out to dinner with two friends last night for the first time in 6 weeks, and we had a fine time, and even after the restaurant closed early, we stayed in the parking lot and 'visited' for another several hours. I'm sterilizing my hands before I get back in the car, and do NOT want to get this stuff. I'm sure the government conspiracy folks will be cranked up about it. And, yeah, there WAS a very real conspiracy to prevent Trump from being elected, and to cripple him once in office. But that doesn't mean that everything the government ever does is no longer valid. I took polio vaccine, and small pox vaccinations, and a heck of a lot of other ones to travel overseas and into former soviet states. I take the flu vaccinations every year. Pneumonia vaccination. shingles vaccination....and more. I am entirely OK with vaccinations. I think the anti-vaxxers who are against all vaccinations are off base. It does seem like permitting those who would prefer to vaccinate their child by degrees with individual vaccinations over a period of a few years should be an option, if they don't want to do the combination vaccination.

While we’re talking about vaccines consider this - a health official in San Diego has stated that of the 194 supposed corona deaths in that county, only 6 of them were actually caused by the virus. 188 of those who died had a previous underlying condition. That’s less than 3 per 100 people. Now, apply that percentage on a national level. Unless my calculator is messed up, it comes to 2,580 deaths in a country of 330 million people. 86,000 divided by 100 is 860. Multiply that by 3 and you get 2,580. Of course, different areas will have different percentages, but still. If all of those figures are correct, we shut down our economy and caused insane fear and panic over less than 5,000 deaths. About 35,000 people die in car accidents in America each year. If my calculations are off, could someone who’s better at math than I am, please correct them? Thanks.

Conservatives are happily gloating over the fact that Andrew Cuomo is at, or rapidly approaching, his nadir. (snip) Cuomo's pandering has always been coarse, heavy-handed, and insincere. Though he is hardly a closet conservative, and probably genuinely supports these policies, it has always been obvious that Cuomo manipulated leftist identity groups so that they would have no alternative but to vote for him and make him governor-for-life. (Indeed, until only a few weeks ago, Cuomo seemed to be a shoo-in for a fourth term). Eventually, though, it became clear that the leftist identity-politics groups were getting tired of getting the pimp hand from Cuomo

Meghan Markle, it seems, isn't much of a scholar. While much of the focus has been on her barbs accusing the British royal family of abnormal interest in her baby's skin color and denying him a title and personal security protection supposedly because he is black and they are racists, what's striking to me is how unprepared she was for the royal role she sought when she married Prince Harry. Though the populist tide seems to have ebbed, it will rise again, and soon. The problem that ignited populist sentiment in the first place, whether on the left or the right, remains: the country’s economic and financial system has failed much of the population and is rigged to the benefit of a government-business elite. Resistance to this inequity elevated Trump and pulled the Democratic Party to the left and will continue to roil American politics until things change. The economy’s “rigging” has developed gradually over time and often from the best of intentions.
