Questioned Thursday morning by a Democrat-friendly CNN “reporter” about the three unmasking requests he made in late 2016 and early 2017, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper essentially pleaded the fifth by claiming someone else had made the requests on his “behalf” and alleging that he doesn’t even remember why. His answers were difficult to believe.Listen: (Video) “Generally speaking, how many unmasking requests did you make, say, in a given week?” CNN’s John Brennan asked.“Well, great question, and it varied, and I don’t recall the exact number,” Clapper replied. “But over the six-plus, six and a half, almost seven years I served as DNI,

Is this man still employed by CNN?
Let's not forget this.

I see he's going with the Power's defense. Claiming someone else did it not him. This is going to be a recurring theme I would bet.

So, Powers and Brennan are admitting they were negligent in supervising their underlings wielding power specifically delegated to their positions. They admit to corrupt incompetence. A twofer!

Why wasn't unmasking done when the Butcher was running around selling the country's Top Secrets and her money making deals like selling our country's uranium to the Russians?

As a former spook - - James "The Clap" Clapper has to be devious and mysterious.
Either that - - or he's really, really guilty and stupid. Think about it - - and let me know where you come out.

#4, 7, Clapper is not that kind of spook, although he is devious and mysterious, but he's not a field agent. He's a retired three-star USAF and as one goes up the ladder one is dependent upon the staff and key leadership of the organization. In intel analysis organizations, compartmentalization is routine in that the boss may not know what an underling is working on or vice-versa. Clapper may have been given broad marching orders or people below him may have executed the details without him knowing the details, or he could have been deeply involved, and just lied about it. This much is evident, an illegal operation like this has so many moving parts across 17 agencies that it's no wonder things became exposed resulting in this implosion.

Clap On: Clapper under oath - disingenuous answers, and perjury. Clap Off: Clapper running his sore and disseminating pure propaganda on CNN and fake news outlets.

I beginning to think the Obama administration was entirely made up of ignorant nincompoops' that knew nothing at all and paid well for it. For the director of intelligence Clapper paints himself as a crash test dummy. Great defense.

Bottom line, three things so far;
1. the Fourth Amendment no longer exists
2. from now on, deep state criminals can always commit their crimes against anyone they want out in the open and be richly rewarded for it
3. The ONLY results from revealing the truth about the deep state crimes sells pillows.

How can someone unmask a person "on behalf" of a high ranking bureaucrat? Does that mean his bellboy can unmask someone on Clapper's behalf? Doesn't he have to sign for someone to do this and thereby it would be he who is unmasking and not the bellboy?

James Clapper has been shown to have lied to Congress in the past, so it is no wonder that he would on CNN. Clapper seems to be the most bumbling liar of Obama's minions.

FTA: "It’s a routine thing, it’s appropriate and legitimate.”
But what is NOT appropriate nor legitimate is leaking the unmasked names to the press, Jimmy.

What's scary is something in #9's post. How does someone this stupid make it to 3 stars? I thought you had to have attended a military academy to achieve a general ranking. It also makes you wonder how many treasonous generals are spread through out our military branches.
