Sometimes two stories appear that that fit so nicely together that if you imagine this is all being done by a novelist with a gift for foreshadowing.
One Monday, Port of Seattle Police Officer and Special Forces veteran Greg Anderson was terminated. His offense, a viral Instagram post which he refused to take down. You really need to read it. [Video]
I’ve seen officers nationwide enforcing tyrannical orders against the people and I’m hoping it’s the minority of officers, but I’m not sure anymore. We don’t get to violate someone’s constitutional rights because somebody in our chain of command tells us otherwise.
Bingo.

"Following orders" should not be a defense for violating constitutional rights. But if our government (at any level) will not secure our rights, the implications are grim.

The Founding Fathers gave us clear instructions on how to deal with tyrannical governments. The British were less tyrannical than these Democrat governors are turning out to be, and remember how we dealt with them.

FTA: contact tracing and isolation of those who test positive will be the next tool
Anyone who is more than just a little sickly needs to go to the ER but if you think you might have the virus, I suggest staying home and taking care or yourself without being tested. If you're not tested, you won't end up on the government's "contact tracer" list.

But honestly, how many citizens of Washington will demand that Inslee be ousted for THREATENING to starve his citizens for their failure to comply? They probably think those recalcitrant probably-Trumpers deserve to starve if they won't obey. They are the ones who elected Inslee.
The tipping point is very short for liberals to become leftists to become depraved enough to accept the suffering and death of their fellow citizens because they failed to comply with some edict unsupported by legislation.

How easy it is for these Blue State Governors to go from progressive Democrats to Fascist Dictators. Do they go to school to train for this? From who do they get their talking points and marching orders? They seem to be very comfortable in this new role.

I mentioned it many times on this site, that anyone who thinks that law enforcement, the national guard and federal troops will rebel against the powers that be, in defense of the people, have been living in la-la land. Remember Ruby Ridge, Waco, Elan Gonzales and Kent State, just to name a few. Look at the examples this officer is giving you. Childhood bullies grow up to be adult bullies, only now they get a to carry a gun.

I think these lib guvners are taking their new-found dictatorial powers out for a test drive. They can envision never surrendering said powers and making up any "crisis" they want. I don't think this is what our Framers wanted.

#15 That was, for the most, the FBI. I find it hards to believe that even a stupid Dem would think he could get away with starving families just to make them follow his very questionable orders. The starving thing will never pass constitutional muster.

Just a taste of what socialism really is. The further this kind of mandates are enforced the closer we move to just shooting people that don't comply with a governor's mandates. This is getting serious and needs to stop. The most severe punishment in the military is 3 days bread and water. Not to feed prisoners is cruel and unusual punishment.

There's a gofundme page for the fired officer.
He must have remembered the annual (at least it used to be) JAG officer explanation of certain UCMJ topics, including illegal orders.
Loads of 'police' need the same reminder each year, featuring the punishment received by officers that stepped over the line. Oh, wait, maybe that's part of the problem, that whole bogus limited immunity thing from the courts?

Poster #8 is correct. You absolutely cannot believe how brain dead the citizens of Washington state are. In their defense, the corrupt media cover the state and never print or in the case of TV tell the truth of what is going on. They only hear republicans bad, democrats good. The Seattle Times has even stopped letting people make comments on approx. 99% of their online stories. Can't let even one poster tell the truth or correct a story. Someone reading it might start thinking for themselves.

The state government of Western Australia has gone one step further. They are distributing an app for "smartphones" that automatically tracks all phones of other people who are within x meters of the phone. Then if the citizen comes down with Wuhan virus, the authorities go to all people whose phones were identified and orders them to be quarantined.
So far it's "voluntary" or "optional," but there's heavy pressure on everyone to install the app. In response, people are turning off their phones, or at least turning off their Bluetooth when they go out.
But, you see, Australia has no 2nd Amendment, and the citizenry has been largely disarmed.

When the SHTF I hope local police departments are smart enough to side with the people who pay their salaries. Most Sheriffs will because they are elected officials but unionized democrat cops? Will they make the right decision? When you are not on the side of the Constitution that badge means nothing.

We train our military forces that they are not to follow illegal orders. Sadly many non-veteran police don't seem to have gotten the same training.

The cop should file a lawsuit. That's what demonrats do every time when they want their way so why not use the same tactic against them. By the way, where's Barr who said he'd go after states for violating constitutional rights of citizens.
As for no food, that governor better have swat teams posted at every window and door to make sure her Nazi orders are followed. More money for snitch payments too. Demonrat owned contact tracers better buy up personal armor for themselves too.
