NBC News' Chuck Todd aired a deceptively edited clip of Attorney General Bill Barr discussing the Michael Flynn case during his "Meet the Press" broadcast on Sunday, prompting the network to concede the mistake hours later -- but there is still no word on whether Todd will apologize on-air.
Asked by CBS News' Catherine Herridge how history would judge the DOJ's decision to move to dismiss the Flynn case, Barr initially responded, laughing: "Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who's writing the history."
After the brief clip aired, Todd remarked that he was "struck by the cynicism of the answer -- it's a correct answer

NBC/Todd edits Barr to fit their narrative and now they regret their lie because they got caught. How's that for chutzpah. I never ever watch NBC, much less the indoctrinated Todd but I sincerely enjoy reading about their comeuppance. There should be a law against phony journalists intentionally lying. Make it a felony. The drive-by propaganda media would be wiped out in less than a week.

This is the same outfit that 'jiggered' the gas tank on a pickup truck to produce a spectacular explosion to back up one of their broadcasts...liars, liars, and liars...all of them...

I don't think the complicit media is going to be able to extricate themselves from the consequences, with words like mistake, poor judgment, 1% bad apples....

Oops. It's amazing how all those errors just happen to either shed bad light on Trump, Republicans or Christians or good light on Democrats, liberals, and their media whores.

Oh common, they made all sorts of similar mistakes when Obama was POTUS.. Why there's the time that.....hmm seems to escape me, but then there's the other time that....no not that either...can I get back to you....
Just like the edit of the call made by George Zimmerman was a simple mistake.
Don't they require a licence to operate from the FCC? What are the terms of that licencing agreement? Why do we have an FCC, are they just the dirty word police? Can you imagine the sudden tsunami of support for the first amendment if there were FCC consequences for participating in a coup by serving as the propaganda wing of the party in open rebellion!

CNN and MSNBC are going to have trouble coming up with enough ways to cover for the Slimy Democrats involved in taking down Flynn. There is just too much evidence coming out to bring down Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Rosenstein, Yates and many, many more from the Obama Administration. Even someone as Slippery as Chuck Todd, or Mika and Joe won't be able to save them!

I am all for a free press because it is essential in a Republic. However, when the media gets caught time and time again making false statement with no consequences what recourse do we have? Either they must issue a real apology and take responsibility for their lies or distortions or they face some kind of consequence. We just can’t allow this kind of blatant disregard for truth to be ignored as if it never occurred. This behavior is now causing real issues because it is being used by the media to favor one political party. The reason the media continues to lie and deceive is because they can and suffer no consequences. This is a thorny issue because of the Fist Amendment since these networks will not self-police. They do not care if the truth is being put out there. All that matters is if it harms the President or his administration. Seriously, without a media that honors truth in reporting above all else, all we have is one sided propaganda. Like everything else the left touches, the driving force is that the end justifies the means above all else. Truth is optional. Clearly, there is little to no integrity from the head of these networks.

OP Chuckie boy is not a "journalist" he's a leftist spewing leftist propaganda daily! He doesn't care about having to give a correction because he knows the damage to AG Barr has already been done. A tweet on twitter is not a correction that must be done on air we'll see what happens. If done on air it will be the old "inadvertently" excuse total BS!

There is no credibility left for the media to lose. The liberals will grasp and cling to any crumbs they can get. Every attempt to take down Trump's administration has failed. They are depressed. The majority of Americans are on to their game. The rest pay no attention. Keep preaching to the choir Todd.

There must be consequences. The Covington kid has already settled with CNN. Flynn should sue all of the MSM too. NBC, CNN have to be hit in the pocketbooks. That’s the only thing that matters to them. There are no morals or ethics working there. Godless pagans. I don’t think shame works either. There should be a voiceover disclaimer at the beginning of every newscast saying “the news you are about to hear/watch is strictly according to our views and opinions.”

How did Chuck Todd ever get the Meet the Press job.? He's not only unprofessional but also unappealing. There's not one thing about him that is likable. Nowadays, to qualify for network job, especially NBC, your CV or Resume has to show how many outrageous headlines you've had published in the news against the Republicans. Todd is definitely a light weight in journalism and also in stature ... all 5'2" of him.

I remember that hit job on GM, #3. Outrageous scam on NBC's part. They loosened the gas cap and wired hobby rocket engines to make sure the tank would explode. The firemen they had hired to put out the fire ratted them out. They fired the producer but I noted he landed a similar cushy job later. Leftist hacks always take care of other leftist hacks. I would be willing to bet if someone dug into the networks previous 'expose' shows he would find dozens of fakes like the GM one.

I feel like I'm living in Cuba or Venezuela. This piece of pond scum replaced Tim Russert on Meet the Press? How much farther can we fall? The so-called 'news' is now nothing but left-wing propaganda. I know, fellow Ldotters; I know that you already know that and I know that you're as angry as I am. What can we do besides expressing that anger and frustration? I haven't watched the LSM in decades. I don't read their books; I don't see their films; I don't watch their television shows. Beyond doing our bit to shrink their audience and calling them out whenever they issue propaganda like this, what else can we do? Be happy that young people are getting their news from Facebook? I believe this all starts in the public schools with the indoctrination process. We should do all in our power to close colleges of education and hold public schools accountable and support school choice and home schooling, but it's hard to combat the dims' siren song of entitlement/dependency. I'm praying for a landslide victory in November, but it has taken decades to plunge our country into the radical swamp and it will take decades to recover, if we ever can. We will need a succession of Trump-like presidents, appointing originalist judges and creating an omnipresent reality that runs counter to the sludge offered by the dims. In the meantime, thank God for President Trump and his supporters.

Just another instance of the liberal media supporting leftist and liberal Democrat political corruption. That’s a big reason that President Trump and at least half of America know that the liberal media is fake news.

They will continue this pattern of purposeful deception
The fake news
The lies
The misinformation
The disinformation
Their narrative
Their agenda
UNTIL..there are consequences.
Who’s in charge of patrolling the networks and punishing their deceptive practices?
Anyone?
We need our OWN conservative news network!

These are the actions of a network, masquerading as "just a tv station", pretending to be engaging in journalism while actually promoting propaganda in support of a traitorous socialist political party known as the Democrat party, that has nothing to offer the American people, has nothing in the tank per se and are so stupid, they get caught in their deception.

As an aside, I used to watch for Catherine Herridge on Fox, because she always looked for the truth, and I felt like she worked to get to the bottom of a story. This was HER interview, she knew the truth, and she let it continue. Well, Catherine, you have lost me as a viewer.

Todd edits out where Barr says he dropped the charges "..because it upheld the rule of law".
Then, immediately after playing the edited clip, Todd specifically says "He didn't make the case that he was upholding the rule of law."
Todd is a filthy liar, of the lowest sort, not any kind of a fair journalist.
