A new coronavirus oversight panel assembled by House Democrats is being dismissed as the same old attempt to get President Trump, following the failure of impeachment or the Trump-Russia investigation to end his presidency. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently appointed a select committee on the coronavirus, to be chaired by Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, a key ally of presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. The membership was stacked with early advocates of impeaching Trump, including California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters.
Narrative, meet thy match: Actuality. On Wednesday, Robert Johnson appeared to indicate he’ll be sticking with Donald Trump when November comes around. During an interview on CNBC’s The Squawk Box, the mogul discussed devils: “As a businessman, I will take the devil I know over the devil I don’t know any time of the week. The Chinese government invited then-astronaut Mark Kelly, now an Arizona Democratic Senate candidate, to an all-expenses-paid retreat at a countryside resort in 2003. He left China five days later not only with a future spouse, former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D., Ariz.), but also with lucrative regime business contacts. Kelly attended the annual Young Leaders Forum, a five-day junket cohosted by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, which is "under the leadership of the Communist Party of China." The conference allowed Kelly an opportunity to mingle with high-profile Communist Party officials and rising stars in Chinese society.
