Three organizations are suing Florida over vote-by-mail requirements they claim limit people’s right to vote during the coronavirus pandemic, amid ongoing efforts from left-leaning groups to change mail voting in the state. Citing concerns of COVID-19 exposure during in-person voting, the groups — Priorities USA, Alianza for Progress and Florida Alliance for Retired Americans — filed suit Monday in federal court in Tallahassee, alleging in part that the postage required for a mail ballot in Florida amounts to “an unconstitutional poll tax,” and that a ban on voter assistance violates the Voting Rights Act.
The suit comes during a growing legal push from voting rights organizations to change the way Florida

Easy.
Go to the polls.
Frankly, voting by mail, if you're not overseas on business, or in the military makes the entire vote open to overwhelming fraud.

Good comment, OP
I've been voting by absentee ballot for years. I'm an adult so I don't mind providing my own postage stamps. (one for the application, one for the ballot)

No voting by mail unless you are bedridden or serving in the military overseas!!! Too much FRAUD is committed these days. Also, people need proper identification. And ABSOLUTELY NO ballot harvesting!! The only assistance that should be allowed is help from a close family member -- NO strangers coming to your door offering their "help"!!! No...no.. NO!! Also all polling places must have independent watchdogs from both major parties making sure boxes don't "disappear" or suddenly "appear" or are "found" in trunks or trucks!!!!

Most will have postage paid stamps.
Better to concentrate on making sure that every ballot that goes out by mail, is returned by mail, and no one should be certified the winner until all votes are counted.
Then, also make sure there is follow-through on whether the person who mailed in a sample sized number of ballots, actually cast the ballot.
Lastly, remove winner take all in all States, and make it popular vote winner in each House district (which is how the allocate Electoral College votes) to keep it local and reduce chances of fraud.
But the key, every ballot they issue by mail, MUST be accounted for, PRIOR to certifying any election.

You can go to the offices of these three organizations and they will give you a 50 cent stamp. And while you are there, they will even fill out the ballot for you! What a service! This is what voting is all about!

#5 great plan to eliminate fraud. Not sure how you account for mail in ballots unless you really restrict who gets them. I'm 69 and remember well s Indiana had an election team made up of a dem and a rep and they went in person to a homebound person. A solemn affair. To vote absentee you went to the courthouse and signed an affidavit. Was not easy to vote absentee.
Had the popular vote been counted by 'winners of house districts' method, Kentucky wouldn't have to endure Andy "Beto" Beshaer. Kentucky is overwhelmingly red but thank a teacher for voter fraud in Jefferson and Fayette county, both liberal hell holes. I live in S Indiana only minutes from downtown Louisville and I'm loving the whining coming from mayor Greg DeBlasio Fisher because Indiana is opening up and Kentucky is still in hiding with no plan in sight. Typical super lib, Beshear wants to build cred for a nat'l position. He'd be better than Biden as a pres candidate but then so would my hamster (I don't really have a hamster) but sometimes I feel like I'm on a treadmill

Why does anyone think the Democrat party is frantically pushing for vote by mail?? It will let them steal the election, pure and simple! Vote fraud is their main remaining strategy.

Since voting by mail is an illegal poll tax even though the supposed tax is only the cost of postage. Since driving to the to the polling place is clearly an even larger poll tax because you or someone you know must drive to the voting location.
I suggest, and feel most dems would agree with me, that the election should be cancelled and Biden should be declared the winner. (especially since a majority of potential dem voters really hate Trump.)

If someone is so pathetic that fifty cents is a burden, then I don’t want them having a say in anything that might effect my life.

No wonder the pig Piglousi wanted voting by mail in that last pork bill. She probably had a deal with the Post Office to 'inconveniently' lose future republican ballots by any means possible in return for another bailout. She probably already gave them the key on how to distinguish the republican ballots from her pre-filled out demonrat ones that return envelopes were already stamped with prepaid postage.

Anything that styles itself a “voting rights organization” is presumptively up to no good.

Give them points for creativity. Of course , if this works is it a pill tax to pay for gas to drive to the polls? How about computer voting? Is it a poll tax to gave to pay for internet or a computer? The possibilites are endless. Maybe these people just shouldn't vote to avoid the poll tax.
