It might be a tale of two different approaches to regular briefings on the coronavirus by state and federal leaders. Whatever the reason, Minnesotan's approve of the coronavirus response of Gov. Tim Walz much more than that of President Donald Trump.

Comments:

These imbeciles let Somalia take over two once-beautiful cities and sent Omar to Washington. That amounts to zero brains and/or credibility.

A survey of 500 people? 500 people? ummmmm .... 500 people? And they could do a news article on this? The largest county in the Twin Cities is Hennepin County, and Walz got at least 2/3 of that vote. However, he only won 20 of the 87 counties in Minnesota. Do you think this was a statewide survey? 500 people? LOL

Either the poll is outright lying (as they usually do) or MN citizens are perfectly happy being the Jim Jones followers of the demonic demonrat party looking for more freebees.

Minnesota is really a model of the Country, isn't it? Left, dysfunctional, lawless cites surrounded by vast expanses of flyover country populated by the salt-of-the-earth Americans.

Voter fraud is too nominal to make a difference in any given election, goes one popular line of argument. But tell that to voters in parts of Florida, Missouri, New York, and North Carolina in recent years. Districts in these four states saw election outcomes overturned after absentee voter fraud came to light. Now, with millions of Americans homebound because of COVID-19, progressives are amping up their push for national mail-in voting as Michelle Obama throws her support behind related legislation purporting to be a response to the pandemic.

At a former open-pit copper mine filled with billions of gallons of toxic water, sirens and loud pops from propane cannons echo off the granite walls to scare away birds so they don't land. After several thousand migrating snow geese perished in the Berkeley Pit's acidic, metal-laden waters in 2016, its owners deployed a sophisticated arsenal to frighten away flocks, including lasers, drones, fireworks and remote-controlled boats. Montana Resources already had been hazing incoming birds with spotlights and rifle shots into the water — and a spokesman says those existing deterrents likely helped the company avoid a penalty or prosecution under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

The media, computer modelers, epidemiologists, and the censors keeping dissenting views off of social media have succeeded in terrifying much of the political class and the American public into accepting far-reaching suspensions of civil liberties in the name of suppressing the spread of a Covid-19, a highly communicable flu strain whose lethality principally affects the elderly and those with comorbidities. At the moment it is an open question whether the lockdown ”cure” will end up being more lethal than the disease. Last week, American Thinker took some flak, including from some conservatives for publishing Peter Barry Chowka’s warning, “Mandatory coronavirus vaccination looming on the horizon.”

In light of the nursing home disaster in New York, what kind of a ghoul would take that as an example to emulate instead of a baleful death warning to avoid, and then order contagious COVID-19 patients into her state's nursing homes? Only Michigan's hard-faced Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the ambitious Democrat who banned sales of garden seeds to Michiganders, saying she's doing it in the name of keeping everyone "safe." "Safe" to Whitmer is seeding the nursing homes with COVID-19 patients, supposedly as a means of lightening the loads of hospitals. Too bad if Granny
Who Believes the Lockdowns
Were About Science?

Every state and local politician who imposed lockdowns pursuant to the COVID-19 pandemic claimed their decisions were based on “the science.” In reality, they ignored the advice of leading epidemiologists, relying instead on statistical models produced by “experts” with histories of wildly inaccurate projections. The most notorious of these oracles was, of course, Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London, who claimed that coronavirus could kill 2.2 million Americans. Based on such apocalyptic predictions, combined with overcautious warnings from Beltway bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci, all but a few governors implemented economically destructive stay-at-home orders — despite the reservations of respected epidemiologists who questioned the logic of lockdowns from the beginning.

There are so many angles to the FBI-Michael Flynn imbroglio, and most have been covered in great depth across a divergent set of viewpoints. But one aspect that has not been covered, and that opens up a wider lens into FBI policy, is the fact that the FBI refuses to audiotape, much less videotape, interviews of witnesses or suspects such as Flynn. That policy is counterproductive and makes no sense in 2020. The FBI needs to take itself out of the J. Edgar Hoover era and align itself with modern law enforcement best practices.

Recent headlines suggest that mask wearing has become a signal of political allegiance, with the left choosing to wear masks and the right refusing to. Yet COVID-19 affects people of all political persuasions who, like it or not, share similar biological susceptibility to this disruptive disease. This is not to say that social factors are not relevant. Early reports trying to understand why ethnicity seems to be a factor have indicated that access to medical care, different living arrangements, work environments and even outdoor spaces make a huge difference to people’s experience and sometimes survival in this pandemic.
