Earlier this week, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer postponed lawmakers’ return to Washington DC, citing concerns about coronavirus transmission. Congress should stay out of Washington DC a lot longer. Even until next year. The primary reason isn’t because they, like health-care workers or truckers or grocery store employees or pastors, might catch coronavirus doing their jobs. The primary reason is that when they “do something,” Congress usually hurts the country far worse than if they just took naps in the closet or played cards all day, like my husband’s coworkers at a union-run former workplace.

Steny doesn't take a leak without asking Nancy if he can be excused.
If anyone decided the Democrats should stay out it wasn't Steny. It was Nancy.

She and her crew are incapable of doing anything that benefits the American people. We are far better off without them.

Wait...Wait...Nancy still has to blackmail Trump into putting Bail-Outs for Illinois, California, and New York in any Stimulus Bill, and to add money to bail out NY's MTA.
There is still a lot of stuff she can "hang on the funding Christmas tree."

As a non-essential business I agree.

History will record this as: The Colossal Mistake--The Self Inflicted Ruin of the American Economy in 30 Days---by Republicans and Democrats. The mistake is enduring as government suppression of business re-openings will continue of months, including not allowing certain businesses to re-open, social distancing, masks, and occupancy limitations. All this government suppression ensures that 25% of our economy will not be allowed to function, all by government edict. None of the government suppression is supported by any evidence. You will not live a day longer, or shorter, because of any of this fiasco. I liked the authors statement: "every government bailout cent comes from future workers." (the stigmatization of social security and medicare as welfare is a rather larger over-generalization---I think I remember paying for this for over 50 years. Just a reminder to those that have forgotten).

As an obviously nonessential service, they shouldn't paid. After all, they haven't done anything for the past 3 years except to try to overturn the last election. I would say they are nonessential.

I have belabored this on several sites.
Article 2 Section 5 of the Constitution requires a quorum for either House of Congress to conduct business. Yet the House and Senate have been passing legislation by "unanimous consent"- a non recorded voice vote only verified by the Speaker of the House or the President of the Senate. Without a recorded vote we do not know who voted how and whether there was a quorum present. Due to the age The Founders had to expect the "quorum" would be present in the Capitol - no remote voting (To my knowledge they have never allowed a remote vote when a member could not be present).
All "essential workers" are expected to show up to their jobs. If these Congressional cowards are going to pass legislation they should get their rears to DC. If they need to wear HazMat suits so be it!!!

Congress should shelter at Nancy's home. She has enough ice cream for all of them.

They are old and should stay inside. Nancy is 80 and should be in an assisted living facility eating jello with Biden.

Hmmm... since we're their boss, can't we furlough them? That would save some $$.

Us voters can have Nancy Pelosi and all the other democrat congressmen shelter at home a lot longer than just the rest of the year.

Nancy should shelter in place forever, with a mask that covers her whole face.

I somewhat disagree with #3. Piglousi will do anything and everything if her leech (especially her leech), jihadi, illegal aliens, visa overstayers, anti-goobermint, and baby-killing/selling parts crowd will reward her party with a vote to bankrupt the country while passing pork money out left and right and trashing your God-given Bill of Rights - all to turn this country into a socialist/fascist/communist (take your pick) paradise.
