A 2008 column in the far-left magazine CounterPunch accusing Joe Biden of “loutish sexual advances” in the U.S. Senate has become a lightning rod in the debate over Biden and his former staffer Tara Reade’s allegation of sexual assault in 1993.
The article, written by the late Alexander Cockburn, lamented then-presidential candidate Barack Obama’s choice of Biden as a running mate in August 2008. Biden, in Cockburn’s view, was an empty and worthless swamp creature,(Snip)
Cockburn made an aside about Biden’s character that accused him of harassing women who worked in the Senate, even while he was supposedly grieving over his wife’s death:

FTA:
Biden is a notorious flapjaw. His vanity deludes him into believing that every word that drops from his mouth is minted in the golden currency of Pericles. Vanity is the most conspicuous characteristic of US Senators en bloc, nourished by deferential acolytes and often expressed in loutish sexual advances to staffers, interns and the like. On more than one occasion CounterPunch’s editors have listened to vivid accounts by the recipient of just such advances, this staffer of another senator being accosted by Biden in the well of the senate in the weeks immediately following his first wife’s fatal car accident. [emphasis added]
These three sentences have gone viral as the former VP, now the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, is trying to discredit Tara Reade, a woman who briefly worked for Biden’s office in the early 1990s.
Now Counterpunch has republished this article. It clearly refutes the propaganda being put out by the Biden campaign and others that Biden had never been accused of bad behavior...

The entire Democrat party is behind Biden, with formal endorsements by now.
I'm sure they know the rumors, and heard the stories, but have chosen to ignore.
Now, they need to justify, excuse and rationalization.

Come on man, just look at the way he nuzzles women’s hair. Or cuddles them in front of a camera. And disgustingly does this to young girls. Ya think his behavior is different when not in front of a camera?

Nothing regarding this story will change the vote of any Democrat. Basically, Biden's supporters and the MSM are giving everyone the finger.

Like father, like son.
So going after another Senator....only two women Senators in 1972, Margaret Chase Smith, age 75 then, and Elaine Edwards, age 43 then. Edwards died two years ago, so was not available for comment. I wonder if she told anyone about it, or wrote it down anywhere?
Of course, this assumes Idiot Joe hitting on WOMEN. Yikes.

Biden is in it to the bitter end. Unless and until the party power brokers decide otherwise. And I suspect all of their conversation topics center on whether keeping him or dumping him would fragment the party the least. And if he is dumped who to put in his place that would minimize further fragmentation. Every decision is going to be weighed on the lesser of two evils because there are no positive factors.

Back in the day when Biden was firing on all 4 cylinders ( I say 4 because the guy never had more horsepower than a VW Beetle) a woman who accused a Senator of anything (See Kennedy, Edward Moore) would have been kicked down the stairs and out the door. It was obviously a man's right to rape, beat and murder if he was a member of the almighty Congress. Today it's different, now that we see Congress people as the less than human Morlocks that they are. Perhaps if enough women in that age would have pressed charges with the help of a powerful lawyer, guys like Joe might have been challenged earlier. It will cost him a few votes now out of the 10 that he is going to get but I want to see the arrest and prison time assigned before November.

During the 2016 election, I opined here that I had gotten to the point where I no longer cared about Illary going to prison for Benghazi as long as she was humiliated and crashed and burned on Election Day. I have similar feelings about Biden but I want him to get dumped and humiliated before Election Day for what he did to Clarence Thomas 2 years before he assaulted Reade.
#6 is correct and I’m looking forward to the fragmentation. By rights and delegates, Biden’s replacement should be Sanders. And if it isn’t the Bernie thugs will have a field day burning Milwaukee and sitting home on November 3. Even though Bernie has suspended his campaign, he has kept his delegates. The DNC food fight is going to be glorious.

So when it is said that the story has been vetted and debunked in the past, here are the obvious questions: Who were the reporters who looked at it? How long did the investigation last? How many reporters were assigned to look at it? Did any of them keep notes? Were was her statement recorded for posterity? On what basis was her statement discredited? Were there witnesses who contradicted her, and if so what are their names? Who else was interviewed? What was their relationship to the senator? Had they ever worked on his staff? Did they vouch for his credibility? Had any of them heard gossip about the senator? If so, what was it? Did the reporters each keep a memorandum for the file in case there were ever any questions? Who was the editor on the story? Did he/she keep notes? Who else at the newspaper knew about the investigation? Were their any meetings? If so, who attended or likely attended the meetings? And so forth.
Without details, saying a story was investigated and debunked lacks any evidentiary support. Those who believe it will do so because they want to believe it, and hope you will be too unsophisticated to challenge them with questions.

"Worthless swamp creature." Cockburn got that one right but he should have gone on and named every single demonrat because they're all worthless swamp creatures.
