Kevin McCarthy should insist all Republican congresscritters return to Washington next week. H I'll d phony hearings like the Dems did (remember the lGeorgetown law school dirz. Ms Flucke, or whstever her name was, who was too cheap to spend $9 a month for birth control pills but wanted us taxpayers to foot the bill). Make speeches, hang out in the halls, hire out a gourmet ice cream cart, etc.

Nowhere else in the country is there such a cushy job as a politician in DC. You get paid $175,000/year with tens of thousands extra for any extra-circular activity, get taxpayer funded junkets to vacation in other countries for "fact finding" (by all means bring the family moochers along), yet never have to show up for work and still get paid. They used to pretend to "work" on Tues, Wed, and Thurs (Mon & Fri are travel days). but In the 2020 session alone, how many times were they on "vacation"? I think the only time Piglousi had them all there was strictly for the impeachment BS. What a gig!

So, if they are all out of town, then show up (maybe) to VOTE on legislation..... WHO WROTE THE LEGISLATION! Hmmmmm...... Sundance over at ConservativeTreeHouse maintains that ALL the legislation is actually WRITTEN by Special Interest groups, who then hire Lobbyists to 'sell' it to the CongressCritters. Is THIS is what our Legislative branch has become? As my Dad, a WWII US Marine Corps Staff Sergeant used to say...."Why complain? We have the Best Congress that Money Can Buy."

On Wednesday, after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified before Congress while Democrats remained crushingly silent about Big Tech’s alleged attempts to suppress conservative points of view, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) ripped Dorsey, calling him a “partisan and a hypocrite,” and slammed Democrats: “There are no liberals left in the Democrat Party. Not a single Democrat Senator defended free speech or freedom of the press today.” He concluded, “This should terrify Americans.” (Tweet)

It was clear from the search that CNN had no interest in reporting anything about Bobulinski, the former Hunter Biden associate who’s accused Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and his youngest son of illicit activities. Bobulinski powerfully confirms that Joe Biden was deeply involved in the transaction, which had its beginnings when Joe was still Vice President. Joe Biden called President Donald Trump “George” on Sunday, as if he were running against George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, or maybe George Washington, before catching himself. (Or being helped by someone outside the camera’s view.) He appeared to be a tired old man in need of help with his everyday life. Yet at both debates, though he made mistakes, he looked to be far more sentient, at times even sharp, in stark contrast to the doddering senior citizen we usually see. How can this happen? “What kind of country we’re gonna be,” Biden asked in a weekend interview

You can call me Pollyannish, but I am beginning to believe I may have underestimated the silent Trump vote in my previous posts. This is why. I mentioned the 2020 Cato Institute poll before, which discusses the high percentage of conservatives who are afraid to express their political views. Something I failed to consider was: Nearly two‐thirds of Latino Americans (65%) and White Americans (64%) and nearly half of African Americans (49%) have political views they are afraid to share. Why would 65% of Latin voters and 49% of Black voters be afraid to express their political views, especially if 70-90% of them, respectively, are voting for Biden?
