Hydroxychloroquine Has about 90 Percent
Chance of Helping COVID-19 Patients,

TUCSON, Ariz. - In a letter to Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) presents a frequently updated table of studies that report results of treating COVID-19 with the anti-malaria drugs chloroquine (CQ) and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ, Plaquenil®). To date, the total number of reported patients treated with HCQ, with or without zinc and the widely used antibiotic azithromycin, is 2,333, writes AAPS, in observational data from China, France, South Korea, Algeria, and the U.S. Of these, 2,137 or 91.6 percent improved clinically. There were 63 deaths (skip) The antiviral properties of these drugs have been studied since 2003.

Comments:

It is criminal is that most patients in the US are not being given this HCQ until they have to be hospitalized or are in a clinical trial. Early treatment is vital for survival and future health. Covid-19 wrecks the organs & can cause a stroke because the body's reaction to the virus is to form blood clots. The HCQ & zinc stop the reproduction of the virus in the body very quickly. The studies stated did not include reports from Italy where they are seeing few hospital admissions of people who are treated with HCQ early.

Fauci is whispering bad advice into Trump's ear. Didn't he say that we may 'never go back to the way it was' before COVID? What would he have said if he were pushing his agenda back in the 1300's when the whole world was ravaged by the Black Plague? We may never go back to the way it was? How the hell would he know? Personally, I thin that COVID has been here since November last year, and that a LOT of Americans had it and weren't symptomatic, and that it's high time to forego all this social distancing BS and resume our lives. If Cuomo hadn't put COVID-infected in nursing homes (what a blunder! Cuomo should be charged with MANSLAUGHTER) and if DeBlasio had closed the schools a couple weeks earlier then NY wouldn't have such an obscene death toll-one that hasn't been replicated in our country anywhere else. People died at a higher rate in NY because of Cuomo and DeBlasio and their boneheaded policies. All this COVID hysteria is beong used to hurt Trump and to hurt us for electing Trump. Vote to re-elect Trump, and NYers vote out all the Democrat scum that have done nothing for you except increase your fear, uncertainty, and maybe killed your loved ones in the nursing homes.

Stuart Varney complained that HQC, if it had to be given by infusion, could only be given in hospital. As I shouted (I talk back at tv a lot these days), “no”. Infusions can be given in a number of outpatient settings and even at home. About then Dr. Siegel chimed in and agreed with me.

That study cherry picked its data. How do I know? Dr Vladimir Zelenko personally treated over 1000 patients positive for Covid with HCQ and zinc. Dr. Didier Raoult (France) treated around 2400. What's the number in this report? 2300 or so? And it includes the VA study which wasn't a study at all but a poorly written hit job. In spite of that, HCQ shows that it works. It will be my choice if I get the bug.

Only 90%. Harhump. Another "unproven" remedy. HCQ (a drug I used to sell 30 years ago) is relatively inexpensive with a known side effect profile. Arthrmizcin and Zinc are in the same category -- generic, low-cost, known risk profile. The "safety" side of the equation is pretty well set.

Moving from anectodal to antidotal. 🙂 More good news. Remdesivir and hydroxychloroquine are now pretty certain to be good treatments. Interesting to note that the HCQ and CQ treatments are seen as effective "particularly when use early". It seems that many docs were saving it for only the really serious patients - which is apparently not the best use of it, according to this report. At least a month ago, a doctor on Sean Hannity's show said that HCQ should be good for suppressing the cytokine storm which is frequently what kills the patients - basically an immune system overreaction that needs to be suppressed. So, it seems that what that doc, and our Very Stable Genius had surmised are panning out. Excellent. I hope I don't get this stuff, but if I do, at least there are now several 'known good' treatments, not necessarily true a month or more ago.

The success rate might have been better, less deaths, if the patient had been treated earlier. Success on all the various treatments are best when the patient is treated at the earliest moment.

This piece mistakenly says that the FDA advised against HCQ except in the setting of a clinical trial. That advice was only for the combination of HCQ with azithromycin. Taken by itself, the FDA recommended neither for or against HCQ. https://covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapeutic-options-under-investigation/antiviral-therapy/

Banker Guillermo Lasso unexpectedly won Ecuador's presidency on promises to revive an economy battered by the coronavirus while his rival's vows of a return to socialist largesse failed to win over a skeptical electorate. Lasso took 52% of the vote in the runoff following a campaign that pitted free market economics against the social welfare plans of economist Andres Arauz, a win likely helped by a ballot spoiling campaign that left one in six ballots void. Markets welcomed the news following months of concerns that Arauz's social spending plans would upset the government's delicate finances.

But after public abuse and threats, and with the video stream down, the two Republicans agreed to change their votes, saying that they’re promised state authorities would audit the results.
