The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that the federal government is on the hook for billions in payments to health insurers who sold coverage on the Affordable Care Act exchanges. The eight to one decision clears the way for insurers to collect upwards of $12 billion via an Obamacare program designed to help insurers manage risks they took by participating in ACA exchanges. Congress has refused to appropriate federal money for the program since 2014, leaving insurers in the lurch. The decision is a blow to congressional Republicans and the Trump administration,

Is this the same Supreme Court that said it was a tax when the law said it wasn't?

So something that's been pending and brewing since 2014, is somehow a "blow to Trump and Republicans"?
What's becoming clear, and people should realize, SCOTUS justices are not going to gut a government program. They have a vested interest to ensure it, and any others, continue. Otherwise, many other programs will be affected and they can't have that happen.
Realize government workers will vote for whomever they see as protecting their jobs, benefits and pensions. PERIOD.
The best anyone should expect is to highlight how expensive many programs are, how much is spent on building leases, rents, office cubicles, supplies. How much is then also spent on government issued phones, laptops, computers, and IT services. Then, how much is spent on salaries, benefits and pensions.
Compare with how much is available for whomever the program is supposed to help, or assist.
Then ask if just 1 or 2% savings could be realized by being more efficient, less redundant and more productive - no different than in private industry.

Therein lies the problem. Congress passes a law and then refuses to provide the funding. Meanwhile. Companies are making expenditures in anticipation of reimbursements per the law.
The correct course of action is to either fund the law that you passed, or repeal it.
Thanks McCain /s/

Any time the courts rule for government to bail out a company, it's facist.
Any time the court rules for a company to pay back the government, it's communist.
Take your pick

When the federal government is on the hook for payments, that really means taxpayers are on the hook.

This has nothing to do with President Trump, it is the result of another Obama-Biden Administration fiasco!

Don't blame the Supreme Court, blame the idiot Republicans for not getting rid of this Obozo mess when they had the majority in both the Senate and House of Representatives. Everybody but a bunch of Rino's wanted to overturn Obozocare. Not doing that one thing when they had the chance, let the demosluts take of control the House and everything that's gone wrong after 2018.

@#2 - Which is another reason to never give govt control of our health care system. They would spend multiple billions yearly in overhead alone - that before the first patient gets an aspirin or band aid.
