New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife were heckled by locals as they walked through Prospect Park in Brooklyn over the weekend, despite living 11 miles away in Manhattan. De Blasio was filmed strolling with his wife Chirlane McCray, both of whom were wearing masks, through the historic park on Saturday afternoon. New Yorker Darren Goldner took video of the moment he scolded the Mayor for forcing an entourage of four SUV security vehicles to drive his family to the park for a nonessential recreational walk in a completely different borough.(Snip) De Blasio was seen waving his hand dismissively towards the camera

They should be under investigation.

So much hypocrisy going on with this virus. Especially with the governors.
Certainly there is ample space to walk about on the grounds of Gracie Mansion. Bill De Blasio looks good in a mask. He should wear it all the time.

Silly, laws are for the plebes. Not for the more equal.

Blasio meant you the people, not him the king, when he made those rules. Don't you people get it?

Maybe De-blah-blah-sio's attitude towards this pandemic likely explains the horrific COVID19 death rate in New York City.
According to the Johns Hopkins University COVID19 website (as of 8 pm PDT last night, April 26), New York City, at 2.7% of the U.S. population, accounted for 35% of all U.S. COVID19 deaths. To put this in perspective, the #deaths per million population attributed to COVID 19 (as of last night): 1,986 per million for New York City, compared to 1,142 per million for New York state, 497 per million for Spain, 431 per million for Italy, 44 per million for California, and 167 per million for the U.S. as a whole (incl. New York's contribution).
Way to go, Mayor!

Did he actually say, "Do you know who I am?!" or just leave it for them to figure out?
Laws are for little people.

Correction to my Post #7, above (fumble fingers on my part): NY City represented 31.5% of all U.S. COVID19 deaths, not 35%. New York state, at about 6% of the U.S. population, represented 40.6% of all U.S. COVID19 deaths.
All other data is accurate at posted.

#9, "NYC area" gets you well over 50% of the deaths. This is a NYC area disease largely.

The only thing that comes to mind when I watch this video is the Guns N' Roses song Welcome to the Jungle:
Welcome to the jungle, we've got fun and games
We got everything you want honey, we know the names
We are the people that can find whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey we got your disease.

Those two are just as bad as the Obamas ever were when it comes to never meeting a scam they didn't like. Still happy with them NYC? You gonna reelect him again if he hasn't reached his term limit?

They might want to research ‘whatever happened to the Ceausescu’s...just for a little perspective, of course.

This is the beloved mayor who needs "congestion pricing" in order to cut down on ordinary slobs using the roads. At the end of the video, Big Bird's babysitters are seen violating social distancing rules. Comedy gold.
