Michael and Karin Long stood in line at Highland Gardens waiting to check out with their two wagons full of plants. A hydrangea tree stood tall in their cart with lavender, geraniums and beard tongue plants rounding out the rest of their purchase. They were elated that unlike other garden centers in Pennsylvania, this one in Lower Allen Township received a waiver from Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration to be open for business. (Snip) Many owners of garden centers across the state, many of which are small family-run operations, want to provide that same sense of hope to their own customers

Azaleas are the single greatest source of the Wuhan virus. Anyone walking within 50 feet of an azalea plant will be dead in less than 72 hours.
I know this is true - - because Gretchen Whitmer told me so.

Seems the Governors and Mayors in this country are playing favorites. They are allowing some businesses to profit obscenely while yet many others starve and die. And these decisions seem so arbitrary. Maybe an investigation into campaign contributions might be in order to shake things up. If we only had lawyers in this country... oh wait!

Mother's Day - best day to buy and plant flowers in the N.E. Any motivations for the continuance of the shut-down - i think - have nothing to do with new life.

Weasel Wolf and his freak of a Health Secretary haven't had this much fun since they narked on other kids for smoking in the boy's room. And yeah Levine had to use the boy's room back then.

All I want from my local nursery is a couple of pepper plants-I want to try making my own hotsauce from my own homegrown peppers. I want to plant those, some tomato plants, and some salad. My Mom & Dad did it for years, we literally drowned in salad all summer long.

Garden centers (nationwide) should never have been closed. Planting seasons are fairly well defined and the only logical reason to try to throw off the planting cycle is to cause harm to the economy.

i have to wonder if Governor Wolf is getting it on with Dr. Rachel Levine. I have read, but have no experience in such matters, that some guys are turned on by trannys. Oops - trans.
After all, he hired her.

While it's easier to buy started plants, like tomatoes and peppers, they can be started at home from seeds. takes a little more time and work, but a lot cheaper, especially after seeing the price of young plants in a garden center.

In California the season is passing. In the county I live in, Santa Clara County, nurseries are closed because they are “non-essential” but big box stores can remain open and sell plants and garden supplies to the public. The nurseries are small businesses, privately owned. This is going to kill them.

Just another notch of blame to add to the democrats belt of shame, when the food shortages start happening in this nation. And the way things are going, they will happen. This is now all about control. Control over us and our movements, control over the nation's food, and most likely control over the coming election by forcing a nationwide vote by mail system. They do that last one, we definitely can kiss our nation goodbye. The fraud will be epic.

The fact that some governors (like Wolf) would shut down garden supply centers, and even bar grocery stores from selling seed packets (yes!) is more proof that these politicos are not normal people. They don't know where food comes from. They are significantly less intelligent than the average 8-year-old child.
They may not even be the same species as the rest of us. We realize they don't have human hearts. Do we know for sure hey have a human genome?

Gov. Wolf-Wolf likes to jerk people around on a leash. A few garden centers got 'waives' to open but most are forbidden. Seems like they are much lower risk than grocery stores or public buses.
