Facing the same competing pressures between keeping people safe in a pandemic and reviving some elements of a more functioning society, governors around the country Sunday made their case for steps they were taking — or not taking — to begin reopening. Their efforts reflected the halting patchwork of attempts by several states to begin moving past severe restrictions in the face of the coronavirus, as a cascade of stay-at-home orders began to expire. As Colorado’s order ended, Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, defended his moves to relax some social distancing restrictions, allowing curbside retail deliveries and soon allowing the

I don't think they're feeling enough pressure.

It isn’t just the fact up north, recreation and tourism season begins.. hospitals need those beds opened up for elective, read needed surgeries and treatments not covid related, surgeries. Period. I bet the delay for some will have gone past date of survival- and the jack booted tyrant in Michigan is hoping Joe picks her. The Democrats are hoping to taknk economy, blame Trump, and steal election.
Do NOT let mail in ballot or electronic voting become rule.. if you can stand in line at Walmart, you can get to voting booth..
I am DONE with the over reaching .. the soul yearns for freedom! My senior citizen mom has become an activist calling elected officials, sharing news items..

It's little wonder that Polis, a cobalt blue dim, made some decisions to re-start Colorado. In my county in western Colorado, we locals with the great support of our County Commissioners, told Polis we are re-opening our county with him or without him.
There's common sense out here. Wash your hands. Wear your face mask at the grocery store, and wipe off the buggy handles. Stay home if don't feel well. See? It's easy.

Here in the Peoples Republic of Illinois, we are seeing the death and hospitalization rates drop but, with increased testing, the daily cases are increasing. Governor Pritzker is claiming this means we haven't yet reached the peak and using it as an excuse to keep us locked up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but would the death and hospitalization rates be declining if the peak had not yet been reached? Don't they suggest that the number of cases must have decreased some time ago, since it takes a while before the infected need to be hospitalized, or die? And they are ordering people to wear masks in public starting May 1. Talk about closing the barn doors after the horses are already out! I plan to to out on May 1 without a mask--my silent protest.

For those people in Georgia who are complaining about reopening, stay closed if you want to. Don't go get your hair and nails done. Nobody said you HAVE to open. Just quit whining and make up your own adult mind. Wow. I really don't understand people.

If you read on, the NYT went and got a doctor to sort of refute every loosening move anybody is making.

I heard a "do-boy" on the radio this morning whining about how "irresponsible" you are if you don't wear a mask. How about you worry about yourself? I'll take my chances and keep my immune system up and healthy. People have no idea how much damage they are doing to themselves with masks and gloves.

And you probably have an idea what I think of Governor Tony Evers of Wisconsin. I miss Scott Walker. Please run again or Rebecca Kleefisch or Leah Vukmir. . .

It's not nearly enough pressure, and it should be coming from the top down--hello, Trump, that's YOU!

The governors have been breathtakingly incompetent, with maybe some exceptions. Any faith I had in goobermint--- at all levels--- is gone. I don't believe a word politicians say. I don't believe a word the media has to say. We are truly on our own.
