White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx defended President Trump in an interview on "Watters' World" that aired Saturday, saying the president meant no harm by inquiring about using disinfectant to possibly treat coronavirus.
Trump, in his White House coronavirus task force briefing Thursday, appeared to suggest that light and disinfectants, respectively, might have the potential to treat the coronavirus -- prompting a number of stories condemning the comments, others seeking to defend the president and a scathing tweet from presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. The president has since said he was being "sarcastic" with his comments.

Demonrats are too stupid, ignorant, and illegal drug addled that they understand nothing. It's all about them trying to prevent PT from getting elected and will twist, string unrelated sentences together to further their ideal. Funny how they had no problem whatsoever with all the lies, graft and sleaze that Barry committed in 8 years with his sidekick the Butcher. Apparently, demonrats miss all those lies, graft, and sleaze.

Have any of these people thought of the fact that every single day poison is put into people's bodies to fight cancer? It is called Chemo therapy. We also have a thing called radiation therapy. The fact is UV light is being looked at as a possible treatment for viruses. He didn't say anything that isn't being thought of by some scientists. It is called imagination and democrats are clearly sorely lacking in it. The press wants to jump on this President no matter what he says or does. The are like hyenas screeching in the night. I have never seen a more incompetent unimaginative group of uninformed people gathered in one room. The one nitwit actually seemed to think that New Orleans was hot and humid all year long. She seems unaware that they have changes in seasons and temps, Average temps there in Jan, Feb and March are between 44 and 67 hardly tropic. These people are truly uneducated.

This is typical politics. The democrats turned his statement around like the republicans did with Nancy's ice cream. The democrats will do anything to discredit this president and the media does the democrat's dirty work.

Oh please #3, "The democrats turned his statement around like the republicans did with Nancy's ice cream." I agreed with it completely. Nancy Pelosi would have had no problem supporting small business loans if they were for foreign companies. A pallet of money so to speak? When it comes to people within the USA, it is a problem. Of course, she can turn right around and show off her very expensive refrigerators and ice cream. How about she donate her salary along the same lines that President Trump does. . .

Just to make it clear. When I say I agreed with it completely, I am referring to the criticism of Nancy Pelosi.

If you are stupid enough to think injecting Lysol is a good idea, no matter WHO says it is a good idea... well here's a hypodermic needle... no, no... I've already loaded it for you... go ahead.

I think Dr Birx was a bit ahead of herself by trying to defend and explain President Trump's comments. He doesn't need her to defend him and she makes it look like he needs defending, which he doesn't.

She was responding to a question. I thought she put it all in perspective.

Not a good idea for just anyone, but I suggest a Drano-Clorox cocktail for that press monkey Acosta.

#4, Unless you are involved in politics, it's hard to understand how the game is played. The democrats will take President Trump's words and twist them for their own benefit. Get use to it for the next five years. It's not going to change and politics is NOT pretty. It is an evil and dirty game. They do anything to drum up their base, even lie and lie somemore. It is what it is.

The President never suggested that anyone drink bleach or any other poisonous substance, what he was opining about was complex medical research. What the President and his advisors have been saying all along is to follow prudent guidelines and to follow your doctor’s orders. You would have to be a complete idiot to drink a glass of bleach. It’s just the media again making a mountain out of a molehill to create as much political controversy and sensationalism as possible.

So unless you are involved in politics, a person won't understand? I understand perfectly but don't need to be involved in it directly.

One good thing is that a lot of us have learned about ultra-violet irradiation of blood, "the cure that time forgot". https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6122858/
What can I say? President Trump is a genius! A very stable one, although a tad eccentric.
