Dr. Scott Atlas, the former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, made a Friday night Fox News appearance to defend his viral column about why the ongoing coronavirus panic, and the ensuing government-enforced shutdowns, should end. Atlas’ column, titled “The Data Is In — Stop The Panic And End The Total Isolation” and published Wednesday at The Hill, lists “five key facts” that are “being ignored by those calling for continuing the near-total lockdown,” along with evidence to bolster each one. Those “facts” include:

Sadly, like politics, people seem to be completely invested in their feelings about, and reactions to, this virus. I’ve seen people actually get angry if you try to bring up something that runs counter to their fear. The points in this article are not surprising to many of us. Unfortunately, those who most could benefit from the reassurances those points give, will never accept them.

He must be fired, blacklisted, and vilified. He has strayed from the path. He is off the reservation. COVID-19 is going to kill us all unless we submit to Socialism, electing only Democrats, and banishing Trump to Gitmo.
This is rank heresy. All the talking heads on the NEWS agree, especially XiNN news.
And WHO says it is an epidemic of unprecedented degree. Forget about the science, forget about the numbers, just panic. We have to get rid of the docs who keep bringing up facts.

I’ve never heard of him, but apparently he has been an adviser to Romney. He writes a great deal.

Open up the country now! Apparently lots of folks are coming to this realization and it's a good thing. The folks who stay isolated are just prolonging their time of being exposed and getting the virus, surviving or not.

Hooray !!! We have a local restaurant in Houston open for inside service !!! The Federal Grille. Checked their website since I was unfamiliar and their server was overwhelmed. Hope I can get a reservation sometime in the next 3 months. Those who open soonest will come back strongest. This place just went to the top of my birthday dinner list.

Why does the media faint whenever some non-specialist medical man pontificates about this viral pandemic? Don't get me wrong, I respect medical pros, but it's about like asking a plumber to opine about "inert gas-filled thermally efficient windows," instead of a window engineer.
We need medical specialists from a few research hospitals to speak up, using solid statistics and numerous actual field studies before the whacked out MSM will do their Roseanne Roseannadanna impression and slink away.

My county has 600,000 people, east KS. in the last week there have been, county wide, either zero or one admissions for Wuhan flu to the hospitals. 31 people total in hospitals now. A medical worker friend says one of her co-workers, hospitalized for 10 days after getting it, will be leaving today.
Time to stop all this stuff. Just get back to normal, maybe with some extra hand washing and social distancing in some situations.
I want to have dinner in restaurants with my friends again.

I was a child during the end of the polio years and have lived through all to epidemics since. This is the first time in my life that the country has gone totally nuts with the lockdowns. It appears the tyrants and want-a-be dictators have gained the upper hand. It is time for a sheeple revolt.

He is absolutely right. I am 88 and I need to be locked down most likely, but not everyone else.

As far as specialists are of a concern;
A person with an IQ over 140 will rarely be a specialist, just really good at one thing and know a lot about many other things..
A person with an IQ over 170 will be a specialist in many things and know about things they have never been taught.
I know nothing about Dr. Atlas but he sounds insightful.
I know some specialists who are well trained but not very smart.

This doctor needs to be challenging both Fauci and Brix in closed door meetings. What he is saying is go with the data that we have and the hell with the models.

I feel really sorry for those of you locked down in states with the dictatorial governors. In Florida, at least the gov is trying to open up the state, and hopefully will do it soon. In the meantime, many of us here are trying to go about our usual routine, but it's hard when everything is closed!

It's at the point now where continued stringent restrictions should be suspect for money and power corruption.

What needs to be done is to compare the mortality rate over the last 3 months to previous years. Compare it to 2019, 2018, 2017 etc. Is there much of a difference? If there is not, then it could be said that the Corona virus crisis of 2020 is manufactured. If, on the other hand, there is a significant increase in the mortality rate then it could be said that the crisis is not manufactured.
There really need to be a comparison of mortality rates to previous years.

#21 Troll posting. Seems lost.
I am curious how many of those that died were going to die in this time frame from their disease anyway.
Still going with 'this is all about the election'
