Rob Gronkowski wants to play football again. More specifically, he wants to continue playing with Tom Brady. Now, he'll get his wish. The 30-year-old is set to come out of retirement in conjunction with a trade that will send his contractual rights from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his new team confirmed Tuesday. The Buccaneers, of course, signed Brady in March.
The Patriots agreed to send Gronkowski and a seventh-round draft pick to Tampa Bay in exchange for a fourth-rounder. "Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in NFL history and he plays the game

Brady was on the wane. Gronk was great in his prime but retired due to nagging injuries. Anyone heard from Nick Foles lately. (A fine Christian man, but jumped Philly for a big contract, then got hurt soon.)

Patriots fan here! Good for them! I'm excited to see what Belichick does. Famously, he said about losing Lawyer Milloy to the Bills .... "Yeah. He's good. But we'll find somebody else."

Gronk knows the party will restart in Florida before anywhere in the New England area.

Will the Buc's now try to steal Julian Edelman?

It's hard to believe this team actually has 1 Super Bowl victory. It's mostly been futility since 1976. At least they got rid of those cloudy-urine colored uniforms.

Actually #1 yea, Nick Foles is up here to save the Bears from Mitchell Trubisky. I don't claim to be an expert but I am of the opinion that an offensive line is sort of important. How long did we watch Brady stand flat footed in the pocket scanning the field before delivering a strike? I know nothing about the pass blocking capability of Grandpa Bay but if they can build an impenetrable wall,Brady and Gronk could well deliver. I have only seen one O line like that in recent years, not so much last year, and it was New England.
Put that combo in Chicago and you might as well pre-order the headstones for the both of them. Our kid Mitch has been running for his life which he is darned good at. Turns out running for your life is detrimental to acquiring respectable QB ratings and wins. Our idiots are in denial and keep trying to make a pocket passer out of him without a pocket to learn in I am anxious to see if Foles can get rid of the ball fast enough through better quicker field analysis and delivery. But my default expectation is that we'll see a less mobile less athletic older guy running for his life and eating the ball ducking for cover.

Man, art imitating real life... they all are leaving New England and moving to Florida! I suspect they could round up some other NFL veterans down around the Villages... wait a minute, how about a senior league, sponsored by AARP... get 3 other teams from Arizona, California and Texas! Let them compete for a trophy that features medicine and applesauce!

Absolutely #8. Without the O-line, Brady is useless. But that's true of just about any quarterback, except for the rookie scramblers. Aaron Rodgers still can get out of trouble when he needs to, though.

I'm going on my fourth year not watching one NFL game. Not a Patriot fan but you can't deny the team and Brady were good.
My line of thinking is like Manning leaving the Colts and we know he cost them too much to keep him. I always thought he had a few good seasons left to play. Manning proved me right. I'm hoping this is what Brady gets out of this deal. I'll pay attention to his performance and wish him luck. A Super Bowl ring with the Bucs would be sweet revenge before he leaves the game.
Belichick might want to buy a bigger hoodie to pull down over his face. Who knows strange things can happen.

Absolutely, #8. Just ask Philip Rivers if he ever emerges from his coma.
