Police in Westport, Conn., said they will be testing a "pandemic drone" that can scan the body temperatures of residents to determine if they have fevers or other health symptoms in an effort to combat the coronavirus.
Aerospace company Draganfly announced in a news release the drones will be equipped with a specialized sensor and computer vision systems that can display heart and respiratory rates. They can also detect people coughing in crowds, police said.

Ah, they're the govenment(police) and they're there to 'help' you. What business does the police department have to check your temperature? I live in Connecticut and this is getting scary.

#1; but it took a contrived pandemic to do it.
I noticed that train stations will be examined by drone, too. Next: pictures in the subway.

How is this constitutional? This violates the 4th Amendment. Where is the ACLU on this? More than likely endorsing the use of the drone.

Better not fly one over my head. I''ll figure out some way to knock it down. Safely, of course.

We said we would shoot down traffic ticket cameras. Nobody did. Nobody ever does anything about anything. That's how we got to the point where local tyrants feel emboldened to do this.

If the CV hysteria has or should teach us anything, it's that all 50 states should use their citizen initiative process to take power away from their respective govt's. That includes the governors, legislatures and judicial systems. They have too much power and we are witnessing outrageous examples on a daily basis of govt abusing the citizenry. What we are seeing today is a perfect example of what life in the USA will be if the Green New Deal ever becomes law.

PS: Isn't this a blatantly unconstitutional invasion of privacy, anyway? A lawsuit should be as effective in shooting this down as any slingshot.

Whatever happened to HIPAA? My employer requires us to attend seminars on how to comply with this Act, which protects the privacy of individuals' health information. Is that no longer in effect because of the virus hysteria?

Heck, some county appraisal districts use drones to monitor real estate improvements for property tax increases. This is just another application of that if implemented. I haven't actually seen any fly over, so maybe our county doesn't use them, or I just don't notice them.
