Facebook says it is working with state governments to take down organizing announcements for protests of the COVID-19 Chinese coronavirus lockdowns. The protests have been spreading around the nation by Americans concerned the cure is worse than the disease and is killing the country and that the orders by governments go far beyond what is necessary to control the spread of the virus and are more about controlling citizens.
CNN’s Oliver Darcy and Donie O’Sullivan posted Monday about Facebook and the state’s conspiring to suspend the First Amendment rights of Americans.

Dump Facebook. Dump Twitter. Make them pay for their bias by boycotting them.

Shocking.
SHOCKING, I tell you, that Zuckerburg has made yet another move against allowing honest factual reporting of what's going on in the world when he opposes whatever it may be.
If the proles don't learn about these announcements, they never happened.

George Orwell only missed a couple things in the book 1984.
1. The Year
2. The Two Minutes of Hate has been extended to 24/7 for anything related to Trump
3. The Ministry of Truth isn't located in a drab, downtown building. It's in bright pastel colored campuses all over Silicon Valley.
Long Live Big Brother!

Your World provided by Zuck
If Zuck doesn't want you to see it, YOU WON'T--
Meanwhile, they PROMOTE things he DOES want you to see and his "algorhythms" prevent people you want to follow from saying anything--
Many persons, using Joe Pags as an example, have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of followers which Fakebook encouraged him to gather which can no longer see his posts-- but that they DATA MINE the information of the followers gathered-- so be careful, fellow L.Dotters!

FB is a privately-owned company that provides this service for free (of subscription costs) and can pretty much do whatever they want. First Amendment does not apply. You can choose to use them or not.

DoJ should come down on them like hail in a thunderstorm!
The giant social media companies have explicit protections from lawsuits because they are communication platforms and promised to uphold constitutional rights to free speech. Imagine if you had a phone conversation and said that you were going to violate the governor's orders and open your store, but the conversation was on a delay and a censor cut out your statement before it was delivered to the listener. Is the phone company as a communication platform allowed to do that? Should platforms such as Twitter and Facebook be allowed to do that?
Facebook and Twitter are constantly violating their claims that they are communications platforms. They get away with it because they have massive resources and scare politicians to death. An honest DoJ is the only entity powerful enough to bring them to bare. AG Barr, please uphold our rights!

Tell me again how secure our only copy of the United States Constitution really is in its vault. Snakes slither, rats gnaw, mice leave droppings and democrat partisans are not to be trusted.

This is why I took down my FB account. FB has become an operational tool for the democrats to censor, filter and control our right to free speech. Ef FB.

Hate to point out that no one is MAKING anyone use Face Plant. So don't.
Making the govt shut it down because we don't like their policies really IS trampling on the First Amendment.
Social Distance THEIR butt and watch THEM die. Its the American Capitalist Way.

Re #7, we need to make a distinction here. FB is private and can do whatever they want. But once the government is involved with FB in determining what to allow, First Amendment takes over. Imagine, if you will, a universe where Donald Trump tells the Washington Post what to print, and the Post obeys it.

#18 the distinction is whether the government FORCES them to restrict "speech" not whether they agree to go along with government involvement or interference. In the former case FB could tell the government to pound sand as a 1A violation, and unless there are national security issues involved, that would be the end of it. If the latter, that would be FB's choice and if you don't like it, walk away...

This sounds more like editorial control, which might end up putting them on the radar of government entities who regulate those types of organizations.
As far as FB being a private company, they are not, since they are a publicly traded company, and must adhere to SEC filings, and other regulatory entities - why they want a Democrat in 2020, so they can go back to having gov't help them build the walls to ensure the barrier to entry for any similar type of company competing against them.
Lastly, you mostly provide FB with their content, especially all of those "surveys" where it looks like a fund game to see how many states you've visited, what you're doing since HS, etc... they're all designed to gather YOUR information for them to use. When the product is free, you are not the customer but the product.

YEP All the posts and groups I saw yesterday on FB for protests are gone, and for some reason I am not getting Mark Levins feeds either. The only think showing up is news reports of the protests.
