Earlier today after I made my coffee I noticed we were a little low on milk. So I timed my grocery store run to a point in the day I figured the local HEB would be less crowded, and I went for it. The store was well-stocked, everyone was friendly and observing distance and mask requirements, and I got what I needed and got home. But what if I couldn't do that? Today I'd have had coffee black, which isn't a huge deal, but in a few days I'd have less and less to eat for myself and my family. A hungry writer is an unhappy writer.

The world would be better off with fewer 'Experts'.

The article mentions H.E.B. so is probably from Texas. I think this is just mental rambling out of boredom much like Joe Biden's policy positions. Don't fuss . My neighborhood grocer is open and I go there just as often as I used to.
I even wear a mask because with my Ray-Bans it makes me look like an old fighter pilot with a beard. Smile and God Bless America.

This is mostly a "New York City" pandemic here in the USA. NY state and NJ accounts for well over half of all the cases in the whole USA in about a 75-100 mile radius of the Empire State building.
West of the Mississippi, only California and Louisiana have broke 1,000 deaths in a whole state, and those two only by a couple hundred. NYC area has 22,000+ deaths. 32 states have under 200 deaths. 18 have under 100 deaths. How about renaming this as the "NYC flu" ?
Back to grocery stores. Yes, people have been pointing out that food supplies can be disrupted pretty easily in any modern society. And the overwhelming majority of Americans today have not the slightest clue where food comes from, how to grow/get meat or vegetables or what to do, even if somehow they had a pile of fresh food - no clue how to store or preserve any of it.
We didn't get into any of our stored foods, and never will as long as we can keep buying food. Perhaps more people will consider keeping some canned food, carefully rotated because it does go bad after a few years, and other stuff on the shelf.

Are these people really sucking around for a punch or something? The so-called 'experts' in any leftist dominated field are the worst people on the face of the earth. So eager to inflict pain and misery on their fellow citizens.

Bernie Sanders wildest dreams are coming true. Nothing in the grocery stores. Breadlines and foodlines everywhere. Neighborhood snitches keeping track of their fellow citizens and turning them in whenever they feel like it. Welcome to Amerika comrades. Unfortunately for the government politburo, we citizens are armed to the teeth. So it wont be easy. Jefferson was right, every so often, the citizenry must correct the government in whatever means necessary.

Be very careful about putting too much emphasis on "experts".
Remember, if you're on a jury trial, they always have experts on each side of the case.
Also, Democrats love to use experts to sell, or push, their agenda, as it seems like it adds gravitas to the conversation.
Ever have someone mention how "we are the education experts", and you should simply follow what they say? Yet, in many cases today, the person at the cash register can't hardly count back change. Compared to how we were able put people into space, and land on the moon, using less computer capacity in the 1960's than the average smartphone. What type of education experts allowed that to happen over 50 years?

Sorry #9 I have been hanging around my local farmers' market (Major Texas city) for years now. I know where my local grocers buy their food. Same place I do. Instead of stocking a bunker full of freeze dried crap (probably from China) Follow the food chain to where it starts. USA FARMERS. MAGA

Government by "expert" is a progressive dream. Government should be by the people, of the people and for the people. How quickly may forget.

Any country is three meals denied from a revolution. Go ahead and deny food and watch how many Democrat politicians are hanging from lamp posts immediately with the Democrats in Congress being the first.
