The happiest news to emerge in recent coronavirus weeks come courtesy of videos from online news sources showing the good citizens of Michigan, fed up with their tyrannical governor, taking to the streets in mass — and maskless! — to demand an end to the tyranny.
The saddest news? The realization that it took so long for these types of protests to occur. And for reason for that, we can turn to the Declaration of Independence.

I'd like to think there is a limit to how many times the sheeple will listen to the cry "Wolf!", but I'm not so sure. As long as there is the promise of free money, anything is possible.

It may take more than just peaceful protests to override the FluStapo.

It's just so sad. The American people are honest, hard working and law abiding. The very last thing they want to engage in is "civil disobedience".
What a commentary it is to say we have to defy the people we elected to serve us.
This is where liberalism, democrats and their agents in the "media" have taken us. The political change needed to return to sanity is huge and overdue.
In my hometown of Columbia, MO, a city councilman set up a homeless camp on private property and complained bitterly when homeowners nearby forced him to take it down. these are the very people who elected him thinking he had their interests at heart.
Take note of all these destructive leftists you have put into positions of power from the city and state level all the way to Congress. Putting any of them back in office makes those who do accomplices to the destruction of this country.

I’m still maskless, and I refuse! Is I lived in a big city, then it would make sense, but in a rural area? Please!

As my husband entered a Dollar Store yesterday, the clerk shouted across the store at him, "You aren't wearing gloves!" He walked out. What the heck would gloves do to prevent the spread of Covid19?? The same germs that go on hands, go on gloves. This is getting more outrageous by the day. We are forced to sit home and listen to lawnmowers all day because apparently landscapers are still permitted to work.

Wow, #5. That clerk is certainly a True Believer.

I am hopeful that the next election will bring about more sanity in governing. I certainly trust the good people of Michigan to dump this idiot governor, who doesn't mind if her people die to make Trump look bad. She is pretending to be a medical expert and dictate which drugs their doctor can give them! That is far worse than keeping them at home.

Let me ask the same questions that I have been seeking answers for since the beginning of this mess. First, does air (you know, the stuff we breathe) pass through these "face masks"? And, second does the carbon-dioxide that we exhale also pass through these "masks"? The answers to these two questions that have been given to me by people who are "experts" is, "Yes". My third question is, what good are these masks?
It seems to me that if the first two questions have "yes" for an answer, then the usefulness of "masks" is somewhere in the vicinity of the usefulness of sugar pills to treat pneumonia.
There is a lot of inventive presentation going on out there. Who is compiling these "statistics" about deaths, hospitalizations, recoveries? Who is checking their accuracy? Who is making all of these "informed" decisions? Am I a cranky doubter? Yes, I am. Am I suspicious of the government and the politicians who are driving this bus? Yes, I am.

We need to realize that the people we elect to state and local leadership positions, and their enablers in the regulatory state, are the same type who end up on boards of HOAs.

Re: #5--While leaving a store is certainly a form of protest, in this case, I'd be more inclined to toss this foolishness right back in their face. If someone shouted at me, "You're not wearing gloves." I would shout right back at them, "Nope, and I'm not going to!"
And then I would go on about my business of shopping. After all, what are they going to do about it?

I went into a store Monday and it was very pleasant. Plenty of people, very few masks, people chatting and joking. Then I went into several yesterday. We back slid. Almost everyone had masks and they were terrified. No idea why the change.
I hear our state welfare office just mandated a whole bunch of draconian measures, without the governor. No verification yet, but I would like to see a welfare cop try to arrest me. Plenty of time to get away while he waits for his monthly check and smokes his doobs.

The civil disobedience has already started in a few places. People can be misled for only a short time (unless they are democrats) and are waking up to the fact that this virus has been weaponized in more than one way!

This recent obsession with masks is a good example of herd mentality. One idiot commie official decrees masks and suddenly it's "me too, me too." IMHO, masks are a waste of time besides being very uncomfortable. You can't enter a local grocery store unless you're wearing a stupid "face covering" of some sort!

I was at the rally in Lansing Michigan and I can tell you that there are a LOT of very angry people in Michigan and they are certainly not all Republicans. Several State Police around the protest were giving us a ‘thumbs up’. Every freeway coming into Lansing was traffic jammed for miles.

Everyone from 18 to 60 should take to the streets. Just overwhelm the bureaucrats. Get this thing over with.

#7 Unfortunately the ''good'' people of Michigan also elected a bunch of real ''weirdies'' this last time!!! This state is not well! Dangerous anymore! Look at that broad from Dearborn, well two of them, Rasheed and Dingel, Haley Stevens a true loon, etc. All socialist/commies. GOD bless all the demonstrators in Michigan! GOD bless!

I live in Florida (where our yard guys are allowed to mow the lawn). I heard this AM that Jacksonville will open their Beach today at 5 PM! Yay for them! Hope it is the beginning for the rest of the state to open everything! I informed Hubby today that I'm over this whole mask wearing thing. I am ready and willing to go to the grocery store without it. I am ready to go to dinner in a nice restaurant, have a nice meal and a glass of wine (no kitchen to clean up)! Seems like I've been cooking for 60 days straight (well almost). I want to shop! I need to get my hair and nails done! I need to be able to go wherever I want whenever I want! Hopefully, DeSantis will open us up SOON! The government says Seniors should continue to self-quarantine. No way in Hell are we going to sit back for that one! We want to play Boccie, go to the Square and Dance and see a Movie or go to a Concert. We are NOT going hunker down at home any longer! We're done with it!!

Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan says it's better to be six feet apart rather than six feet under and then she adds "every life matters". That is unless you are among the unborn. I hope Michigan voters throw her out.

It’s good people are starting to get riled up against Democrat tyranny. They have to be persistent and not let up. After all, it took twenty years for the colonists to get rid of the Brits.

Thanks for posting, OP. I will do my best to help you turn Pennsylvania and give Governor Wolf the finger. When I think about where the state was before he took office compared to now I just shake my head. I think we should protest with masks on the backs of our heads to symbolize his backward thinking. It's time to become Sheepdogs!

Michigan was just the beginning, next Pennsylvania hope more will follow. We are not going sit back and let these liberal governors impose unrealistic restrictions, destroy lives, etc. for political objectives.
