MARIN COUNTY, Calif. - Some Bay Area residents are learning the hard way - violating the stay at home order can be costly. But it really depends on where you are in the Bay Area. Different cities and counties are enforcing the orders in their own way. At Sea Cliff beach in Santa Cruz County, a San Jose woman who wished to remain anonymous was cited Thursday after snapping a photo during what she called a "mental break" from the confines of home. “A sheriff's officer pulled up and told us that he was going to give us a citation for

It seems that people who are not anywhere near another person are being cited. Where is the sense in that?
What in the heck is a single person endangering if they are near nobody else, except some little Nazi's power trip? Seems like people could safely be on the beach...maybe require 20 ft social distancing or something.
These people are literally power mad, not doing anything useful.

This may be about the California government's lack of revenue. Stiff fines keep the stream of money coming. But dear God, hope some Dims see the light and realize their Dear Leaders are wannabe dictators.

State revenues are down because there are no sales and gas taxes being collected. Not letting a crisis go to waste, they're giving fines for everything. I heard anecdotally that even traffic fines are being raised in some places.

Enforcing arbitrary quarantine on those who are not sick is tyranny.

Ridiculous. CDC website is clear that what makes this virus different is it's highly contagious because droplets from someone sneezing could infect someone in the vicinity, hence stay six feet away. BTW, CDC does not even rate it as the most contagious disease out there. Ready? It's measles.
So, shelter in place (normally used for active shooters at a school or business) is going to help how if we keep our safe distance? Again, unless your telling me it's been weaponized and is being dispersed in the area, shelter in place is totally unnecessary and only increases panic.
Another example: Our local news station had some nurse tell us that when you get home from the store, take your shoes off, dump your clothes in the wash, take a shower, and put clean clothes on. Hell, lets just go ahead and make a slurry pit with super tropical bleach (STB), run a decon station with MOPP suit and filter exchange and a shower point. Absolutely bizarre.

Wait until the first sheriff deputy gets shot.
I doubt they are ticketing people being chauffeured in a limousine--they likely are rich with lawyers
Also don't ticket a car with NRA stickers on the bumper--might get shot
A Subaru station wagon with a soccer mom driving? --TICKET!

From the CA Covid website ("Q" and "A" added for clarity):
"Q: Can I still exercise? Take my kids to the park for fresh air? Take a walk around the block?
A: Yes. So long as you are maintaining a safe social distance of six feet from people who aren't part of your household, it is ok to go outside for exercise, a walk or fresh air."
The cop hasn't done his homework and the woman needs to call up and make total hell to the town and if they won't back down she should sue them - she won't recover much but at least it'll cost the town time and money and it would deserve that for its stupidity.

Take all of these little Barney Fife clones to court and we'll see how the ticket stands up to the Constitution. Forest Rangers are worse than the police when it comes to niticking petty little laws like permits and transportation of firewood. Technically, citizen taxpayers own the parks. The homeless don't pay for a dang thing and I would bet they are exempt along with the precious illegal aliens.

As I mentioned in my humorous speech at my son's wedding regarding his first real drunk night out …
In Texas we have at least 80 different flavors of cops including The Texas Rangers …
And they all think they're The Texas Rangers.

I believe a lot of this crap of Governors and Mayors making their own rules and laws is going to end up in the supreme Court.
Our freedoms are being taken by default.
Weare not represented in this mess and most everything I have seen is against the constitution.
This is being run much like Lincoln ran the Civi war. He did what he wanted to do and the Constitution be damned.
