If Jesus Christ came back today, his return would stream live on Twitter, come with Facebook posts, a video on Instagram and its own TikTok. But would we even believe it? Never have we had so much access to so much information. Never have we believed so little of it. Technology, and the politicization of something as innocuous as a sunrise, has draped skepticism over all of it. To answer this question I turned to a most trusted friend, Rev. Eric Youngdahl, pastor of the House of Prayer Lutheran Church near Houston.over all of it.

Silly. If you believe He is Son of God , He would be coming down in chariots with angels from the sky,Not on CNN. The bible foretold this but many did not know he could come first as the suffering messiah then in all His glory to vanquish the enemies of the Jews, Bye Bye ISIS and evil doers. He also said that even He did not know when he would return so all these doomsayers should shut up.

The 1st century was perfect for His Advent. All the elements of the Old Testament prophecies concerning Him, converged exactly at that point in history. All speculations about Him coming today, the way He did then, are meaningless.

I think that the fact that the rapture has already happened it wouldn't be too hard for those left behind to accept Christ's return.

Rev. Youngdahl might have directed the questioner to any of the NT passages about what happens next. Those tell you what, but not exactly when. This sentence from the article is troubling to other Christian believers FTA: ''I believe in God. I believe in Jesus Christ. I am, however, skeptical about the reporting in the Bible.'' The holder of that view is in for a rude awakening. Ask any OB-GYN if they can you tell us when will this labor be over? Look in scripture to how often you read a reference to childbirth. It takes as long as it takes. Doesn't matter if you believe it or not. It just IS.

My duties occasionally take me into the psych ward at the hospital. Over the years I have met dozens of people claiming to be ministers, and a few Jesus'. Who knows? I may have dismissed the real one.
Safe bet if the real Jesus came back the MSM would intentionally bury the story or label him a kook.

I suppose that would be entirely up to Jesus. Apparently he's God so ain't no arguing.

If Jesus came back today...I'd depend on the government experts and news media to sort it all out, pass it through their models and tell me "the truth".
I'd also wait for the President to have a press conference with these experts so that I would know this was honest information. I would expect Jesus to be standing near the Presidential podium to take questions informing the public the process we are all about to experience, with a few archangels providing us all the details of who and when.
You know, like this COVID-19 experience.

This is a useless discussion. When, not if, Jesus comes all will know it. The saints will depart with him and those left will suffer the 7 years of tribulation. When He comes, He comes. Be ready and found acceptable.

If Jesus indisputably came back today, the entire left wing establishment would be apoplectic. Polls would show that he had a 20 percent favorability rating in blue states. Joe and Mika would say, "Follow the money. The televangelists are paying him big bucks to attend their megachurch services." etc. The mantra on the left would be that just because he came back, he should not necessarily be trusted to say he is the son of God. After all, he could be from another planet, even another universe. Far easier to believe that he is from, say, Krypton than from heaven. Finally, they would demand he respect the separation between church and state. That means no preaching on a pubic beach or other land owned by the government. In sum, much of the world would give him the same welcome as they gave his farewell, except without the cross. A ride on a rail out of town would be sufficient.

If Christ were to return today, the left would immediately figuratively re-crucify him in the media. He would be belittled, insulted, accusations leveled, and on and on. His supporters would likewise be vilified.
Lets face it.....he wouldn't return demanding communism, accepting of 26 genders and abortion on demand. All three being pillars of the left.

#5,#12- Respectfully suggest caution and study when it comes to “the rapture.” For example, Reverend J. N. Darby resigned from the Church of Ireland in 1827 claiming he discovered a secret doctrine in the Bible calling his new teaching the “Rapture.” Most mainline religions consider this heretical teaching. Recorded in John 5:25-29, Jesus describes two resurrections: a spiritual resurrection and a bodily resurrection. Jesus says, “…an hour is coming and NOW is, when the dead shall hear…” The first resurrection happens NOW. “Hearing” the voice of Jesus in Baptism (Romans 6:4-5; Colossians 2:12) or preaching of the Gospel (Colossians 3:1), that new spiritual life is received NOW. “This is our first resurrection, a spiritual resurrection from sin’s deadly effects.”
The second resurrection, of the body, will happen in the future when Christ returns on Judgment Day and “all who are in tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth.” (John 5:28-29). Revelation 20:5 “teaches that Christ resurrects us NOW spiritually and will raise us up bodily when He returns for the Last Judgment.”

After the Rapture, there will still be nonbelievers, naysayers, and haters. It will be harder then than it is now. At the Second Coming, there will be NO DOUBT He is King of Kings! But by then, it will be too late to change your mind.

FTA: If Jesus Christ came back today, his return would stream live on Twitter, come with Facebook posts, a video on Instagram and its own TikTok. But would we even believe it?
Social Media will be the last thing on the mind of anyone when Jesus Christ returns. Everyone will know exactly who He is and what is happening. They will believe it without man having to announce it and spread the word. Some will be joyful. Most will be sad and filled with regret. Heaven and Hell and Eternity are real, and we each have a choice where we go. The saddest thing of all is that God has provided mankind with His inspired word, the Holy Bible, that tells us exactly what to do to be saved, and so few believe it now. His word is truth, and today is the day of salvation.

When he was crucified, most did NOT know that Jesus was the son of God despite the prophecies of his coming and of his life. Do you think we are any more perceptive now? Most people expect God to be in a different form than he actually appeared. Many people expected the Messiah to be a Savior from the toil and tribulations on earth. They expected a supreme king. Instead he is a servant that serves as a bridge to unite man and God through Jesus' sacrifice opening the door for the forgiveness of sins, not as much for benefit on this world but for our life after.
Were Jesus to return tomorrow, who would you be expecting to see?

Not a good comparison; Jesus would not need the lying media to announce His return. He has innumerable angels to take care of that. And, His glory.

He already came once and was treated as fake news by the Romans and Jewish leaders! We nailed him to a cross! Being fully God and fully man, He allowed himself to be killed as he took all of my sins on him to the cross. It is finished! When he comes back, he won’t come as a lamb, but as The Lion of Judah! He will rule the whole earth with an iron rod and there will be no fake news about him at that time!

Stupid question and stupid person asking the question. Trust me, Mac, the next time Jesus puts His feet on planet earth the people left behind during the Tribulation will know who He is, as the blood will flow as He destroys the evil armies of the world in the Valley of Megiddo.

In the immortal words of Kris Kristofferson:
Jesus was a Capricorn
He ate organic food
He believed in love and peace
And never wore no shoes
Long hair, beard and sandals
And a funky bunch of friends
Reckon we'd just nail him up
If he came down again

Look at Matthew 24:23-27
We already know that anybody claiming Jesus has returned is giving us fake news. We won't need to take anybody else's word for it when Jesus returns. The whole world will know it for an absolute fact.

#23- Correct, “We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” Scripture is the inerrant Word of God. It is written in Hebrews 9:28: “so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear A SECOND TIME, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.” He will appear for the last judgment, not an interim “rapture” that would disavow “A SECOND TIME” because a secret rapture would mean the “last judgment coming” would be a third time.
The English word "rapture" is derived from the Latin translation of the verb "caught up" in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (rapiemur) meaning, as Paul taught in the passage, “those who are still living on earth when Christ returns visibly on the last day ‘will be caught up’ (‘raptured’) together with the ‘dead in Christ’ to ‘meet the Lord in the air.’”
Scripture teaches that all Christians will endure varying degrees of "tribulation" until the last day, that Christ will return only once (visibly) to "catch up" ("rapture") all believers, living and dead, into heaven, and that all believers will reign forever with him in heaven. Understanding of the “1,000 years” (Revelation 20:11-15) “to be a figurative reference to Christ’s reign here and now in the hearts and lives of believers, which will culminate in our reigning with Christ forever in heaven following his return on the last day.”
There is no “secret return of Christ” and there is no “second plan of salvation.” Both teachings are “perversions to the Gospel itself.” (Galatians 1:6-10)
