China should be legally liable for
the pandemic damage it has done

The costs of the pandemic keep piling up. Hundreds of millions of Americans are on lockdown, a record 16.8 million have filed unemployment claims, nearly 15,000 Americans have died so far and the death toll is growing exponentially by the day. Congress has passed three coronavirus relief bills totaling $2.3 trillion, and more might soon be in the works. Somebody has to pay for this unprecedented damage. That somebody should be the government of China. No one can blame Beijing for a viral outbreak beyond its control. But the Chinese communist regime should be blamed — and held legally liable —

China is not the only villain here. We also need to lay blame on others like WHO, media, distorted models, power hungry medical experts, those that have an agenda other than saving lives and the liberal politicians. All of this makes the perfect storm. I'm not saying that China should not pay. Just saying others have a role in this disaster. Most of us know that China can NEVER be trusted, yet the U.S.manufacturers have sold their souls to that country for cheap labor. China will never pay and the only way we could possibly get some leverage is crush them economically by bringing our jobs back. This would take the all the countries not just the U.S.

Erase our debt we owe them, force all USA companies to remove manufacturing from China, and place 200% tariffs on all of Chinese goods that are sent to the USA. Quit funding WHO too.

Regardless if the coronavirus outbreak was accidental or engineered by the Chinese, China owes the world for letting this disaster happen. They either developed the virus themselves or bought it from an outside source. Either way, for what purpose? They knew what they were dealing with, but, lax safety procedures at the lab were a factor. The Wuhan lab needs to be incinerated. The Chinese then elected to play a hide and seek coverup game with the world which is typical of a communist country. This made the outbreak much worse. Russia behaved in exactly the same way when the Chernobyl nuclear power plant meltdown happened in Russia. Equally important, our msm must be held responsible for inciting mass panic and literally scaring the crap out of every American citizen. Certain news outlets should be no longer allowed to broadcast for what they did to the American public. The dim party is guilty as charged for weaponizing the virus outbreak for its political gain and must be taken to task for it - severely. Also, if only the three our four months preceding the March outbreak were not lost with Nan Pelousy, Pencil Neck, Jabba, and Chuckie wasting critical time with their little impeachment circus. We will take care of this in November. Agree with other commenters that China's holdings of US treasuries be cancelled. Cancellation of this debt ($2 trillion??) will not cover the amount of money the US has spent managing the crisis, but, it is probably all we will get out of the Chicoms.

I don't think the Chinese government's lies were directed at us or even to 'save face'. I think they were directed at its own people to hold on to their power. So at the end of the day, are we willing to wage war against Red China? And do we understand what China's dumping of US debt as in bond holdings would mean for the value of the dollar and the value of our word to the world? We stand to lose as much as they do. Fortunately, I think Trump is more than up to the task of hard negotiating with these vile people.

This Wuhan COVID-19 virus strain is so contagious and debilitating compared to previous viruses that have been previously seen in the USA, that the more you look at this from a common sense point of view, especially with the quick spread of the virus across the world that is ongoing, with China claiming that they now have no new cases, that the true genesis of this virus was in the Chinese bio-weapons laboratory known to be located at Wuhan. Rather then in a bowl of bat soup or a snake sandwich served up in the Chinese cultural “wet” market nearby that has been blamed by the Chinese Communist Government. In that respect who is to say at this point that a particular strong strain of the virus did not somehow escape from laboratory safety controls and infect one or more laboratory workers who then took lunch at the “wet” market for a bowl of bat soup or a snake sandwich, where they unknowingly started the spread, and them probably died and were cremated.

We need to smarten up. 1. China holds 1T of our national debt. Japan holds more and the U.K. isn’t far behind China 2.) China is led by gangsters. China’s selfish and irresponsible policies keep destroying human lives in China and around the world. They deserve no respect but until we can stand on our own two feet with necessities manufactured exclusively over there we need to seem respectful of their insane “leadership“ 3.) Greedy, selfish, stupid leadership in our own country helped get us in this fix. A reckoning is in order. We need to know who they are and hold them responsible for selling us out. Add to this list: Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Feinstein, Pelosi, Obama, GHW and GW Bush 4.) Enforce immigration laws 5.) Know that grappling with the Chinese mafia aka CCP will be ugly.

China is still lying and covering up. No way they will ever be held accountable in court. Local news ran a piece the other day saying the virus in Europe doesn't look like the virus in China because it mutated. No doubt its more Chinese propaganda. The business community is still assessing their losses. They are the ones to watch. What good are cheap Chinese products when the world is on lock down, and there is no one to buy them? What are the biggest corporations that have business dealings with China, and what are they going to do with them going forward? The only companies that will stick with them are the ones with close government ties to China. If they do, they should be penalized for that. China should also be pressured to close down their bio labs if they are so dangerous. China should also be pressured to pay more attention to human rights and public safety. Its was China's social policies that lead to the pandemic and global economic crisis. it will also be interesting to see what President Trump and Congress do regarding China. There area lot of options. Our leaders should be holding China accountable. So should all world leaders.

The only real punishment China faces is the repatriation of America’s supply chains. That will be it! The euroweanies will not support any kind of punishment for China other than perhaps some harsh words despite infecting the entire world with the Wuhan virus killing hundreds of thousands, destroying economies and lives all over the world! And China knows nothing will come of it.

How about yanking of the "most favored nation" trading status, that Bubba bestowed them in 1994, based on no merit, other than he thought it would be a terrific thing to do. Perhaps China tried to lie their way out of this has only two possible explanations: That this was engineered and released on purpose or they are totally incompetent at bio research. Either way, they should be punished. Just tell them to pound sand re the money the US owes them and if they don't like it, too bad. They screwed us over in Korea and Vietnam, the trend continues and we owe them NOTHING.

Behind every government, evil or just, are ordinary people. I agree that the Chinese government should be held accountable, but talk like dropping bombs on Wuhan? Come on. In the last five years, I have become friends with several Chinese students going to school here, and getting acquainted with their families in China. Every one of them is a lovely person. It certainly is true that several have drunk the Communist Kool-Aid. The older generations grew up with China being sealed off from the world and getting no news but that which has been filtered from their government. Their children, being ingrained in their culture to respect their elders, were taught the same about the government. Some of my friends are still very defensive about the source of the virus -- "Why say, China? It came from animals, not a country!" But to argue with them or to show them animosity is of no gain. Each one of them here and each member of their family there, has been terrified of this virus. Thousands of Chinese have died and many thousand more are in mourning. These are flesh and blood people who struggle to put food on the table, worry about their relatives, want to provide a future for their children, like you and I. They are in a 100% atheistic country, antagonistic towards Christians. Jesus is nothing other than a name like Buddha to them. Before we assign blanket-blame on the entire country and call for the entire country to be punished, let him who is without sin, cast the first stone. This is Easter weekend. A time when we humbly thank and praise God that He paid the price for every sin of ours and every sin of theirs. We may be the only "Bible" that these people will "read." How pitiful we would all be if Christ had not been risen, for that would mean that the Father never accepted His Son's payment for our sins! Let's not be ruled by fear and vengeance. "A new command I give you: Love one another." (John 13:34) Happy Easter.

We need to get our pharmaceuticals out of China, India, and Asia and back to US shores ASAP. However, we cannot announce that intent. We have too much in their basket and they can hold us hostage by depriving us of needed pharmaceuticals. So we have to start doing this quietly. Ease into it. In a few years when we have production facilities ready for the full supply we can step on the gas and cut them off. But we cannot publicly announce out intentions. In fact we have to lie about it. With other manufacturing we just continue increasing tariffs just as Trump has been doing all along.

Both China and others claim that the COVID-19 virus was spread to humans by animals at the Chinese cultural “wet” market at Wuhan, China. But neither the Chinese or anyone else has been able to determine and report just what specific species of animal did that, or how droplets containing the very contagious virus made their way out of the animals and into human respiratory systems?

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
