I was chatting with a friend of mine recently and the topic of gun sales came up. My friend’s father owns a gun range near me and she said he’s seen a huge amount of liberals coming in to purchase weapons in recent weeks. How does he know they’re liberals? “They’re shocked to discover they can’t just walk out of the store with a gun.”

Not surprised. Our liberal elitist class typically thinks such rules only apply to others - others who would be more likely to abuse their 2nd Amendment rights. Actually I think maybe we should hand weapons out to these people more easily. In their arrogance they won't think they need any training - including safety instruction......

Perhaps a few will want to loosen up their stupid anti-gun laws in California? Let's hope that they can learn, and become responsible gun owners. There really needs to be an effort to reach out to these new gun owners. I hope California's NRA instructors are advertising their services widely now.
Fortunately, here in Kansas we have absolutely NO state laws that have any impact on gun sales other then matching the federal laws on not selling handguns to minors. All gun sales, ammo sales are entirely free of state of Kansas interference. Only the federal laws have to be followed, and with a CCW, you can walk out with your new gun without even another background check, the CCW suffices.

I would not sell a weapon to a known liberal.

Gives the idea of elections having consequences a whole new meaning.

The preponderance of mass shooters have been shown to be liberals. They are the last people who should be allowed to purchase guns.

I am kind of glad we have crazy liberal azz Californika to point to. We need a place that is so bad only Marxists want to live there. My sister and her husband have left the state, their sons and their families, and my mother before she passed on. After a short stay with the army many years ago I left, too. It has become a stinking Hell Hole and their gun laws only emphasize one aspect of how oppressive their state government is.

Except for the safety issue, I think this article is hysterical!
Reality is slapping these people right in the face. Good!

This is California. A state I visited once but will never live in. Here in Georgia I can walk into a gun store and walk out with a gun since I have had a carry license for years. I do feel sorry for the dwindling number of conservatives in CA. They didn't vote for the tin pot, little dictators in the Dem Party.

Please, if you value the Second Amendment, join the NRA if you don't already belong. It helps protect our rights, and the monthly magazine keeps us up to date on political issues involving our right to own guns. You won't ne disappointed!

A lot of us conservatives in California are armed. We may be needed some day.
Hopefully soon.

I can walk into a store and walk out with a gun too. But I don't live in California anymore(5th generation native) and I have a concealed carry permit(nearly impossible in Calif). This story is about liberal first timers and their culture shock.

Sounds like a kind of "Coward-Pivotin'" (Cloward-Piven) moment to me. Nothing quite so painful, nor humorously satisfying to onlookers, as being hoisted on your petard!

Being educated by TV is no way to go thru life. I'd bet most of these people thought they knew lots of stuff about guns and didn't see anything wrong with 'common sense' gun laws. Now maybe they will get a sliver of common sense. That old sticker 'when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.' Might make sense to them now.

I moved from NY to my Red State 26 yrs ago & never look back.
The 2nd Amend should be 1st.
Because without it all the rest are last.
