Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned Donald Trump not to reopen the country too early as the president has shown increasing signs of impatience with the coronavirus lockdown.
'I would hope that the scientific community would weigh in and say, 'You can't do this, it is only going to make matters worse if you go out too soon,' she told Politico in an interview. But, as the end date for the administration's '30 Days to Slow the Spread' approaches, the president has pushed for the country to get back to business as the number of infected tops 469,000 and more than 16,000 Americans have died.

When did Nancy Pelosi ever get anything right? No thanks for the advice Nervous Nancy. You are an obstructionist and a treasonous witch. You are like Dementia Joe, decades and decades in politics and consistently wrong on every issue. We should do the opposite of what you "think" (no that you can).

Rictus McBotox and the rest of the RATS want people locked down forever. Trump's gonna have to rip off the bandaid; the Enemedia will hang every subsequent death on him.. He ought to do an address from the Oval Orifice to explain to people why we can't just stay home and draw government checks and watch Netflix.

And so, silly me, I'm wondering what the Democrats' "presumptive nominee" has to say about Nancy. Actually I'm wondering if he can put together a coherent sentence about most anything. He's saying "that cut Italian girl (sic) with the great hair is on my list of potential VP's.

What ever you do, do NOT go back to work. Do not contribute to the economy or society. Let the government pay you to cower in your home. At least until the election is here and the economy is irreparably harmed (which would clearly be Trump's fault).

There is no doubt that Nancy and the Democrats want to extend the lockdown as long as possible. They're hoping that it gets to a point where there are riots and looting, and mobs of people in bread lines, screaming for government handouts.
She/they believe this is their best shot at beating Trump and retaking control of government, to finally and completely transform it into their socialist vision. Clyburn outright said so. This is no tinfoil conspiracy theory. Believe them.
What are you going to do about it?

Too bad we aren’t all as rich as she is so we could afford to stay shut down forever as long as somebody was providing the goods and services she craves (booze and botox).
Plus she has the full force and resources of the US government to cater to her needs for things like private jets and security. And probably anything else like food toilet paper masks medications elective surgical procedures, anything and everything.
So yes, nasty, no skin off your teeth is it? You can be all magnanimous sitting in your castle above the fray.
We can eat cake, right?

No matter what our great President does about King Flu, the lefti8st loons will say it was the wrong decision.
If DJT encourages, at a specific date, the U.S. re-open, and one more person dies of a Kung Flu related illness, the dimocrats will bring the grieving widow or widower to the DNC convention to yell at President Trump.
If no one suffers the illness after re-opening, the dimocrats will find one grieving widow or widower whose spouse committed suicide because of a family business failure, and have that person as a speaker at the convention.
Remember the nutty Iraqi lawyer at the 2016 convention?

The U.S. population in 1968 was 206 million. Today it is 330 million. I had the Hong Kong flu in 1968. It was the most miserable illness I have ever experienced. There was no talk of a shutdown or even social distancing. According to the CDC: "The estimated number of deaths was 1 million worldwide and about 100,000 in the United States. Most excess deaths were in people 65 years and older." See CDC website:: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/1968-pandemic.html

In this instance, I think in terms of national interest, Trump has final say #5 about reopening and getting the economy rolling again. Most of the Governor Jackboots are infected with TDS anyway, so their opinions really do not matter. The economy is key to keeping us from a national recession/depression, and I think that trumps local interests, no pun intended.

2nd post apologies, but, #21, I, too, had that wretched flu in 1968. I thought i had a cold, treated it with muscatel wine, waited too long to go to my family physician, the skin on the palms of my hands and soles of my feet shed like a snake sheds its skin. I missed two weeks of work - and I rarely missed even one day of work in years long stretches..
It was as miserable for me as it was for you. And the muscatel didn't help, except to make me indifferent to the suffering.

Sounds to me as if Nancy thinks opening the country will work. She is against everything Pres. Trump tries to do. At some point, people have to be responsible for themselves. If they can't put on a face mask and wash their hands and keep their houses and businesses clean, then it is their own fault. Where is the money going to come from to keep everyone on welfare? If we don't work, we don't pay taxes. If we don't pay taxes, there is no money to run the country. Is Nancy ready to give up her Congressional salary and pension for the CAUSE? She is a multimillionaire many times over. She doesn't need our hard earned dollars; she just wants it in her pocket. She must think we are stupid like the Democrats in Congress who go along with everything she says.
