Three in 10 Americans say the new
coronavirus was 'intentionally
created' in a laboratory: Poll

What is the origin of the new coronavirus? It is an alarming topic. Still, a notable portion of the public—particularly conservatives—believes that the virus emerged from a laboratory rather than nature, according to a new poll released on Wednesday. Three-in-10 (29%) say it most likely was created in a lab—23% believe the current strain of the coronavirus was developed intentionally in a laboratory; another 6% say it was most likely made accidentally in a lab, according to a new Pew Research Center poll. A plurality of the respondents—43%—said the virus came about naturally while a quarter say they aren’t sure

Comments:

Only 3 in 10? Not that we'd hear the truth anyway; imagine the panic in the streets, especially while our Most Favored Trading Partner's germ warfare agent remains active in the wild.

I don't know if it was intentionally created. But I do wonder if China didn't deliberately let it get out to infect the rest of the world, the US in particular. Isn't it kind of suspicious that it only infected one of their provinces? And after the travel ban, the virus started spreading in Europe, where there was no ban. What caused that? How did a problem in one Chinese city-Wuhan--spread to Italy? Note also in retrospect how the virus was relatively contained on the West coast but a disaster on the East coast. It looks like the travel ban worked as far as China was concerned but the virus ended up spreading, not from China, but from Europe. Who could have predicted that?

It had to be a bio weapon from China. Stopping all trade, grinding world economies to a halt, forbidding public gatherings, complete work stoppages. There is no way this was all done for a virus. World leaders would not do all this for a virus. I suspect we won't know the truth for a very long time but eventually we will. The world nations need to punish China and any coconspirarors severely. This was no flu, but a chemical dress rehearsal for something deadlier.

Absurd! who has time to do such a poll? And who cares? Roughly 30% of people who respond to conspiracy-theory surveys agree with any garbage you ask them ("Hello! We are doing a survey about the effect of high power radiation from local 5G towers on hair loss. Question ONE: Do 5G towers cause hair loss?") This is just an attempt by the media to prove their excellence in spreading false and inflammatory click bait.

It is possible that they had the cross over virus. Decided that they could control it faster, better than free capitalist societies. The risk was collateral damage to their own economy versus the payoff of bringing down a roaring Trump economy headed for the sky.. Can't say yet that they have lost.

Those of you who think this was engineered (or just released intentionally) by China miss a key factor that may have led them to do so. If they started this on purpose it was aimed at the unrest that had been stirred up in China by the Hong Kong protests. The damage to the rest of the world was merely a bonus.

Based on available information, the virus "escaped" the Wuhan bioweapons lab either intentionally or by the sloppy handling of dead or alive test animals that employees took from the lab and sold for money or were eaten. Either way, there is evidence now that the lab acquired the virus from an outside source for purposes of conducting "research". The Canadian media reported in 2018 that two Chinese nationals working at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg had arranged shipment of a virus sample to the Wuhan lab. They were fired on the spot for arranging this illegal shipment. It has not been confirmed if the sample sent to the Wuhan lab was a COVID19 sample. It is also not confirmed if the virus infecting the world today is the same virus that was sent from the NML to the Wuhan Lab. Meanwhile the Canadian media more recently reported that other Chinese nationals working at the NML were suspended in 2019 without pay, work computers confiscated, email accounts locked out, and security credentials revoked. The RCMP is conducting a high-level investigation of them. The CBC in Canada is only giving watered-down versions of this behind-the-scenes investigation because RCMP's work represents a pending criminal investigation. More to come on this. Whew. For now, it is a lot easier to think that today's pandemic is just a freak of nature that happens once every 100 years. Never mind that China, Russia, the dims, and msm all hate Trump and don't want him to get re-elected.

The Chinese Communist Party is testing a less-lethal version of the bioweapon to see how we react. Predictably, their Democrat allies continue to weaponize the government to go after our freedom to move or make a living. Corporate media is promoting panic and divisiveness. So far, a big success for China and their liberal allies. .

Not necessarily created there, but leaked, almost certain. The Wuhan labs specifically research corona virus. It's too great of a coincidence that the present outbreak just happened to start in that city.

It may have been deliberately let go...there has been research with coronavirus for several years, headed by China and a female Chinese scientist who worked with a NC university research center until 2014 when the USA shut the research down because it was too dangerous....she was recalled by the CCP and returned to Wuhan and the lab where this virus was housed. It acts very much like SARS, and I am not so sure it "originated" in the wet markets. I do believe diseases lives in the wet markets, not necessarily this virus. Yes, put into that suspicious category.

There is a difference between belief and evidence. There is evidence to support the accusation that this originated in a Chinese Communist Party lab. There is evidence that shows a researcher using bat virus to create a new virus that would cross species and attack human cells. This Epoch Times documentary provides such evidence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le_rfTdayLs

The poll is splitting hairs. It should be asking people if they believe it was released by the lab. I believe the lab studies many animal diseases and has extracted and studied them. It wasn't actually created in the lab but it did cross animal species in the lab and it was released to the general public most likely accidentally by lab workers.

Regardless of whether CV19 was intentionally created or occurred naturally, China's lack of concern for human life caused this. China is terrible on public safety. They do not care if their people live or die. It is reflected in their policies. This time their policies caused a global pandemic and collapsed the global economy. China wants to be a member of the global economy? No way. Not if they are going to be like this. What good are all those cheap Chinese products if the world ends up on lock down for it? China most definitely needs to be held accountable for this. Hold their feet to the fire. Make them change. Otherwise no global trade with China, and travel to/from China should be banned. Their attitude towards human life should make them a pariah worldwide. If China isn't held accountable, China will cause another pandemic and we will all go through this again.

Post 7 is spot on. Remember china could not control or disperse the pro democracy protesters in China. Video kept being posted of the brutal police tactics. They didn't dare ratchet it up to tieniman square levels. At the same time President Trump was playing hard ball with them regarding trade. This was a two for one. The protesters go home sick and world economies shut down. A double win for China in addition to becoming the world economic power if only briefly. The best way to spread this is through the air, because every person on the planet has to breathe. This has China bio weapon written all over it.

There are aspects of the corona virus that would lead anyone who has been paying attention, like how apparently rampantly contagious the virus is turning out to be compared to past viruses, that here is a pretty good chance that this particular strain of virus was engineered in a laboratory. If that is so, such a contagious virus could have insidiously and strongly infected a laboratory worker who then unwillingly went shopping for bat soup in a unhygienic Chinese culturally based wet market where he or she infected other people, thus starting the worldwide virus spread. If that is so, the laboratory worker has probably died months ago. But who knows, fingers have been pointed at the wet market and the wild animals that are killed and sold there, but it is interesting that as far as is known the Chinese have not come up with any scientific certainty a specific breed of animal at the wet market that would have passed the virus on to humans?

Major U.S. airlines have come under criticism for spending nearly $45 billion on stock buybacks and dividends over the past five years before asking Congress for a $50 billion bailout in the coronavirus crisis. The $2.2 trillion relief package signed into law on March 27 met the airline industry's demand for $50 billion in loans and grants, but restricts stock buybacks, dividends, layoffs and executive pay raises. However, in recent years the industry splashed out billions on share repurchases, which help prop up the price of a company's stock, leading some to believe that the costly bailout could have been minimized or avoided.

The CDC openly admits that it is fudging the COVID-19 death figures. We know this because, among other truth-tellers, a plainspoken small-town physician from Kalispell, Montana, has pulled back the curtain.

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour,” former lead strategist for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign James Carville said the presumptive Democratic Party nominee former Vice President Joe Biden would “wipeout” President Donald Trump in 2020. Williams said, “James, everyone I know, everyone I’ve spoken to knows someone who is sick or hopefully recently recovered or on a ventilator or has died of this. What, as you look at this, what’s the short version of what this is doing to Donald Trump, to his presidency thus far?” Carville said, “First of all, he won with 46.1%.

Lansing, MI — After Friday, Michigan residents will no longer be able to jump in the car — or cross the street — to visit friends and relatives inside the state, or to go to the cottage Up North, with limited exceptions. That is one of the major changes in Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's "stay home" order, issued Thursday, which also extends the expiration of the order to May 1. Until now, travel between two Michigan residences has been permitted.

"Anecdotal" has suddenly transmogrified into a magic word with power to shut down any further inquiry, discussion, or debate of hydroxychloroquine's (HYQ) application as a Wuhan virus antidote. This one simple word has reached ultimate status in the world of TDS-sufferers everywhere as the definitive slayer of arguments for the drug's use to impede the deadly path of the virus. This sad fact is representative of a pernicious chasm in our society. The deeply felt antipathy and revulsion of anything Trump by TDS-sufferers are so intense, raw, and vituperative that the one, and so far, only readily available treatment modality demonstrating high efficacy in stopping COVID-19 —

San Francisco now plans to lease 7,000 hotel rooms to provide shelter for homeless people as well as first responders and health care workers battling the spread of the coronovirus, city officials said Wednesday. This would more than triple the rooms now under contract. The city already has committed $35 million for the next three months to lease the first batch of units. The overall effort would cost San Francisco roughly $105 million — some but not all of which would be reimbursed by the federal and state governments. (snip) homeless men and women eligible for hotel rooms would need to be COVID-19-positive or be classified as vulnerable because of age

Dr. Anthony Fauci did it again. The first time Fauci was noted signaling to his allies in media was when he signaled to ABC’s Jonathan Karl after an antagonistic exchange with President Trump at a task force briefing [SEE HERE]. Today, another briefing, and CNN’s Jim Acosta had a similar antagonistic exchange with President Trump. Once again Dr. Fauci hangs back to give Acosta a similar signal. Subtle like a brick through a window. WATCH: (Video)
