When Rahm Emanuel told audiences that former President Barack Obama should “never let a serious crisis go to waste,” he was applauded. Emanuel was referring to the Obama Administration’s response to the Great Recession. Clearly, President Obama agreed. Obama ushered in the greatest reorganization of the American socio-economic order under the auspices of resolving the financial crisis (which, of course, Obama never actually did resolve).Similarly, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus from Wuhan, China offers President Trump a momentous opportunity to enact his own sweeping agenda
Trump doesn't need your advice...

Exactly #1. Actions at the border (which are bringing howls of protest from the usual sources) show that PDT is well ahead of the curve.

If things don't break pretty soon, Obama's gonna' have to take in laundry just to make ends meet.

"Suppose, instead of making a deal to return to normal, Trump had fought for legislation allowing for America to reclaim even a fraction of its industrial capacity from abroad. We certainly would not have the bottlenecks in our supply chain that we’ve been forced to endure today. Personally, I like having toilet paper."
Does this genius suppose that we import toilet paper all the way from China?

Great Article!
FTA:
"The COVID 19 is really the disease of globalization. It is also globalization's inevitable, natural end."
One can hope.
And maybe thru the President and his wife's efforts, the pharmaceutical industry will not have so much power when it comes to healing disease. Natural means should also be studied and promoted.
(I am not here referring to a pandemic.)

True that Obama used the recession as a way to usher in his socio-ec9monic changes. But, the republicans in DC sat on their hands as he did it. Trump has no real support from any democrat, as well as a few Republicans who are still committed to the DC uniparty.

#7 - I agree with you.
I knew when I wrote Great Article - there was something in article i didn't like, but I was too lazy to go back and find it again. In paragraph entitled, All National Crises are Political, the author wrote that our military should enforce social distancing. Wrong thinking, and I don't agree with that at all.

If Trump followed this advice, he would be open to the same claims of exploitation that the Left is actually practicing right now. There are some things he does need to do, like bring on a new expert such as Dr. Stephen Smith to advise him instead of the globalist ghoul named Fauci. There are so many snowflakes that have been exposed in his own government, like the Surgeon General, that he is not being well served in this crisis.
I have never seen a man in such a hard position as Trump is in right now. Previous presidents have not had to also deal with a very toxic and hostile media and opposition party while trying to serve his nation. Not like Trump is right now. It takes real faith and a love of country and people to put themselves into the spot Trump is in right now. Lucky for us, we have a NYC verbal brawler who likes a good fight, and who knows how to take it to the enemy, no matter who the enemy is.

Those so-called “wet markets” are a part of Chinese culture and probably have been in existence in one form or another, much longer than there has been a USA. You can see that, as the Chinese Communist Government is already opening them back up. It is reasonable to assume that those markets that operate under unhygienic conditions, that would not be allowed in Europe or the USA, have spawned viruses, some contagious and deadly, from as far back as anyone alive today can remember.
Before the concepts of globalization and “open borders” came into vogue in the USA, those unhygienic markets were a little threat to being the starting point for deadly viruses to be imported from there into the USA and causing an out of control pandemic. When President Trump shutdown foreign nationals from traveling from China to the USA in January, with the Democrats calling him a racist and a xenophobe for taking that action, about 30,000 Chinese a week, many from Wuhan, the city where the virus started, were freely entering the USA and traveling all over the USA, nobody knows how many of them were infected when they entered the USA. Beyond that we have not been told how many Americans and other “US Persons” like resident aliens also traveled direct from China to the USA. Remember the President does not have the authority to keep returning US Citizens or “US Persons” out of the USA so they are still arriving.
With globalization and essentially “Open Borders” now the norm for the USA, it is anyone’s guess how many new and dangerous viruses will be imported from China and other countries in the future.
