Pritzker on CNN: Trump ‘does not
understand the word federal,’ as debate
over COVID-19 stockpile rages

Original Article

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker ripped President Donald Trump on Sunday over management of the federal stockpile holding undistributed and urgently needed COVID-19 supplies. Trump – and Jared Kushner, the president’s senior adviser and son-in-law - have been saying the states have no special priority access to the Strategic National Stockpile to obtain desperately needed supplies. Trump has been reluctant to fully distribute ventilators and other medical equipment from the national stockpile as governors, including Pritzker, are begging for help.(Snip) If they had started in February, building ventilators, getting ready for this pandemic, we would not have the problems that we have today and frankly, very many fewer people would die,” Pritzker said.

Comments:

Based on the latest from the IL Dept. of Public Health, IL does not have a shortage of hospital beds or ventilators.

What an absolute snot nose. Why didn’t HE start building ventilators and stockpiling supplies in February? Probably because he was too busy sneering at President Trumps efforts that month.

The reality does not apparently support the hysterical "need"...but the experts have spoken, the damage is still growing. In the end the scardy-cat public will be credited with "flattening the curve" allowing hospitals to treat those infected, and the politicians will all be taking bows for what they hath wrought. Americans will proudly don "COVID-19 Strong!" t-shirts and their chests will swell with pride. What a country we are becoming.

People like Pritzker is why there are no paper towels or toilet paper in the stores. They don't have any idea what they have or what they will need the way a competent executive in business would have to know. They play politics and power games but when government is called upon to actually manage a crisis they panic and are worse than useless. Kuchner was clear that any state that can provide the relevant data will be allocated resources from the finite stockpile of the Federal government. It is not first come first serve and customers are limited to "one item" per purchase so that there is enough to go around. If the media weren't dumb and lazy they would understand this and not promote governmental incompetents like Prizker. Why does this seem to only be a problem with blue state politicians?

J.B. never had a real job before he was elected governor. His only experience was spending his inherited billions on a variety of causes. After he graduated from law school, he donated money to the school so it would be named after him. He is the one that doesn’t understand federalism. The states are in charge of health and safety.

Apparently the Governor does understand his job as the governor of a state which is part of a republic. Apparently he thinks every other state should take care of him. Guess what nitwit it is your job to be preparing for your own state's disasters and the federal government acts as a backup not a prime supplier of all your needs. Perhaps if you spent less time on your political pals and getting your palms greased by all the unions in that corrupt state you might have time to do the job that your poor taxpayers pay you to do

There is a difference in a State essentially raiding the Strategic National Stockpile for what they think the might need during a coming pandemic; and States having to justify to the Federal Government an actual need for medical equipment maintained in the Strategic National Stockpile, with those State requests once adjudicated by the Federal Government being dispensed to the States.

Who can forget Lynn sweet and her loving articles about the Kenyan Klown? I believe she would have been willing to service Barack on the White House lawn, if he didn't go for that sort of thing with females. I don't know what Illinois has been doing with their funds. I do know that Little Andrew Cuomo chose to blow NYS funds on a 750 million dollar solar panel factory in Buffalo - it was a failure, and is closed. And he funded a nano technology center in Syracuse, which is vacant, and a nano technology center in albany, and the director of that operation was indicted. And about the same time, 2015, Little Andrew's team decided to ration the breathing devices. And he is now taking those devices from Upstate New York and shipping them to NYC. States have failed to do what they are supposed to do - but it is the President's fault, right?

How many ventilators do you have? How many do you need. the IHME model says you need 1350 at the peak on April 17 and about 1000 now. Treat the patients early with hydroxychloroquine and Zpak or Doxycycline (depends on side affects to heart) to really help hem.https://nypost.com/2020/04/04/long-island-doctor-tries-new-hydroxychloroquine-for-covid-19-patients/ The consequences of a patient needing a ventilator are grim. They must be treated early before they would need a ventilator.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
