Great plan, Bill! It's not like the NYPD doesn't have enough to deal with right now!
NYC Residents re-elected him. It's on them and they're already paying a deep price with his mis-managing of hospital preparedness and the Corona virus. Elections have consequences!

Obviously another bogus socialist Democrat decision that puts the greater community into more danger as those released inmates have just as much chance of getting infected in the high density New York City tenements as they would have in jail. This decision just puts more stress on the New York Police Department.

The people will be expected to provide them nice jobs and apartments, even though they might knock them over the head, and steal their wallets.

Kentucky has done this and a resident of our quiet condominium community was murdered when a released inmate rang the doorbell and someone let him in. This happened within 4 days of his release. The prisoners were supposed to be non-violent. This jerk had been re-incarcerated on a parole violation gun charge. Somehow I think someone should have flagged this guy.
I know a bunch of judges I am going to loudly campaign against.

How does a Mayor have the authority to release prisoners?
The prisoners are in jail for violation of state law, not city law.

They really do care a lot more about their criminals than they do about the normal, honest, law-abiding citizens, don't they?
Reason number 56 to stay away from NYC, always.

Since he was elected by a large margin, New Yorkers must like having free-range criminals. Edgy, I guess.

Somebody help me out here. How does releasing hundreds of potentially infected criminals into the general population help the spreading of a pandemic? What am I missing?

It's amazing that all leftists will use any excuse to go easy on criminals. De Blasio, like all leftists, rails against guns in the hands of honest citizens yet turns these feral predators loose on them. All at a time when the city is already suffering.

Thank goodness my governor, DeSantis of Florida, has more sense. He said yesterday that he will NOT be releasing anyone from prison. Smart man!

I swear it's like the Homeowners' Association has taken over the whole dam country. I am fortunate enough to live in Texas where they know their limits usually.

They care more about criminals because they are, themselves, criminals. They just never get punished.
