RUSH: I’ve been chomping at the bit to get here ever since last night, folks, and we’re finally here. EIB, Open Line Friday. Let us get started.(Snip) And David Asman just said that he wants to hear from Dr. Fauci when we’re gonna be able to. Dr. Fauci? Folks, if it’s left up to Dr. Fauci, we’re not gonna reopen ’til a year from September. We’re not gonna open until we get a vaccine, if it’s left up to Dr. Fauci. We didn’t elect Dr. Fauci. Everybody has a lot of admiration for Dr. Fauci. He’s 79 years old, he’s been at the National Institutes of Health,

Wrong.
It's lives vs. money vs. panic. (looting, rioting, violence)

I think Rush is great, but I had to tune him out this week. I know we are going to take it in the shorts but we will be fine in a few months or less.

The economy has been nationalized. Don't think so? The government just put in place a policy that took $6T off the U.S. economy, reflected in a reduction of all investment accounts, and are now printing the same money to pay for government mandated purchases, quite a transfer of cash from investors to the government. The losses are running at trillions a month, and snowballing, while we have a $2T package to some people. The snowballing losses are going to outrun the governments rescue package by trillions, as the shutdown continues on for months. Eventually you run out of other people's money. Many of us thought the politicians had ran out of other people's money in 2009, $4T still on the Fed's balance sheet from that government intervention manipulating interest rates debacle. Mr Kudlow, there is not going to be a snapback recovery with trillions of dollars in losses mounting more every day, and the $2T rescue package fast becoming a morsel.

While advocates and many in government like to use large numbers in order to scare people into action, we've seen it with the homeless issue in the 1980's, for instance, and I sense this situation may be using large numbers to get people to change behavior.
However, if they over-estimate this too much, it may end up creating the "boy who cried wolf" scenario, and people won't listen next time.
And, if the only people who can get tested at these remote testing facilities are those who've met certain criteria, thus, they are more likely to test positive which increases the numbers they are counting.
We hopefully become a much cleaner society and practice better daily hygiene.
Hand sanitizer will be openly available in similar manner as many doctors offices and cruise ships, but hopefully city buses, trains, planes and other mass transit will be cleaned on more regular basis.

My son asked me today where the money for the bailout/stimulus is going to come from. I told him that he and his brother would be paying for it for the rest of their lives. The worst part is neither will benefit on this end.
Needless to say, he was shocked!
It really is enough already. That all deaths of individuals who have corona virus are counted as corona virus deaths despite severe underlying conditions exposes some of the questionable activities going on.
President Trump needs to wake up soon. I love him but Rush is right. This is about lives vs. lives at this point!

This is serious, serious, serious. The unemployment filings for the last two weeks are an adjusted 1.1 million. I believe that number is low because the systems involved are overloaded. Look for at least that much over the next two weeks.

It is definitely lives vs. lives. Has anyone else noticed that our government is picking winners and losers during this crisis? Essential vs. non-essential? Who can stay open, and who must close? Who can work, and who cannot? Who can go out and who must stay at home? That's what big controlling government is all about. The Democrats and their lefty allies have got what they wanted. All in the name of public safety.
The 2T stimulus is just for show. Its not enough, and there can never be a big enough stimulus to offset the losses. The losses are much more. There is only one solution for this: Reopen America regardless of the virus.
It doesn't look like Trump will do that.

What we are witnessing is a repeat of Trump's first year in office. Remember the revolving door of Trump picks within the White House. There wasn't a day that went by when someone Trump picked for a particular job was leaving. Trump was relying on people to get his administration up and running, and more often than not, those people were either stabbing Trump in the back, or running their mouths to the media about the chaos in the White House. Now Trump is relying on long imbedded Medical people who have been in Washington for years for advise on a matter he doesn't have any experience in. They are giving him advise based on models that have been proven wrong over and over again. The economy isn't their priority, but it's Trump's and the country's priority in the long run. Right now, he's going along with the medical people, but soon he's going to have to say enough is enough. Dr. Fauci doesn't give a squat about the economy or the loss of jobs by millions of people. The more Trump listens to Fauci, the longer this BS continues. It's why more and more doctors are appearing on shows are suggesting what Trump said a week ago about getting the economy going again sooner then later.

Rush pointed out that earlier this week, the projected number of deaths would be between 200,000 and 240,000; the WaPo reports modelers now think the numbers are too high. The Trump White House gets such statistics from such models and Rush, quite astutely, suspects “the media may be trying to set the table to deny Trump credit for lower fatalities.” The current economic circumstance is unsustainable and Rush, on behalf of America and American citizens who make this country work, is asking, “Can somebody give us some hope?...” Indeed, “The debate is not lives versus money. The debate is lives versus lives.”
