Detroit bus driver, who ranted about a coughing
passenger, dies from coronavirus

A Detroit bus driver who had expressed anger on Facebook about a coughing passenger has died from COVID-19, officials said Thursday. Jason Hargrove felt ill about four days after posting a passionate video on social media on March 21. He died Wednesday, said Glenn Tolbert, the head of the drivers union. Hargrove, 50, posted a profanity-laced video complaining about a woman who he said had repeatedly coughed while on his bus. The coronavirus can spread through air droplets after people cough or sneeze. The woman was not in the video. Hargrove said drivers are “public workers doing our job, trying to make an honest living, take care of our families.”

Comments:

This is inexcusable!! Even before the Kung Flu broke out, I used to speak emphatically to people who didn't cover their mouths when they coughed. Disgusting people thinking only of themselves!!

I wonder what might have happened if his doctor had been allowed to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin when he had his first symptoms? That coughing woman must have spewed a ton of virus into that enclosed space. How many more innocent victims will succumb to her selfish piggishness? There been a lot of trash on the LSM speculating that Trump has "blood on his hands." I wonder if the governors who banned Trumps "fairy tale drug" just to spite him and impress the lunatic haters, realize that it is they, not the President, who have the bloody hands.

First of all, the article doesn't say whether the 'cougher' was wearing a mask. It doesn't say whether Hargrove was wearing one or not. Doesn't say whether he had underlying conditions that may have contributed to his demise. Yes, this woman should have stayed home, or at least worn a mask (if she didn't already). Hargrove should have worn a mask, gloves, and even an eye shield to protect himself. This article is intended to inflame the emotions, rather than inform or educate. There is no evidence that she was a carrier of the virus, nor that she contributed to his illness or anyone else's. Still, a lack of evidence is enough to indict, prosecute, and condemn in America these days.

Since the mysterious coughing woman was not identified -, and apparently got off the bus and went on her way, how are we to conclude the bus driver's death was attributed to her coughing? The side affect of many prescription drugs can include bouts of coughing due to dry throat - nothing to do the CV or any virus in general. Hargrove could have gotten a virus anywhere - if indeed that is what really caused his death.

Personally, I don't think face masks do a doggone thing for the healthy. But they would sure contain your 'droplets' if you were sick. If you have ANY cold symptoms or allergy symptoms or anything suspicious and find yourself unable to stay at home, please wear a mask. I think this bus driver was spot on. And he should have been treated with AZ/HCQ. But he was a week ahead of our Governatrix allowing those drugs for treatment here in Michigan

President Donald Trump said Saturday he was thinking about creating a second coronavirus task force focused on reopening the country for business. The president detailed his desire to reopen the country during a White House press briefing. “We have to open our country,” Trump said, repeating that “the cure cannot be worse than the problem itself.” Trump endorsed the idea of a second task force on Twitter on Saturday after it was proposed by Fox News host Dana Perino on Twitter. “Good idea Dana!” he wrote. [Tweet] Trump said he wanted the country to reopen as soon as possible.

Researchers in Australia report that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved drug commonly used to treat parasites, appears to be effective in treating the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19). The drug is widely available and can be “repurposed” for this application, doctors said. The ScienceDirect journal, Antiviral Research, published an article by a group of Australian researchers from Monash University in Melbourne reporting that Ivermectin appears to be effective at inhibiting the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. The article states: Ivermectin is an inhibitor of the COVID-19 causative virus (SARS-CoV-2) in vitro. A single treatment able to effect ∼5000-fold reduction in virus at 48h in cell culture. Ivermectin is FDA-approved for parasitic infections, and therefore has a potential for repurposing.

Since the Minutemen of Lexington and Concord rallied to the cause of liberty in 1775, the American military has held a unique place of respect and affection in our national ethos. Yet in the Coronavirus relief package recently passed by Congress, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats tried to include language making it easier to commit vote fraud with the ballots of our military stationed overseas. House Democrats' proposed additions to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act included changes to election law that would provide cover for individuals and activists yearning for federal protection for voting fraud schemes that could include military ballot manipulation.

Playing the role of life preserver, the liberal media are desperately trying to buoy Joe Biden’s sinking candidacy — but the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee keeps clinging grimly to the anchor that is dragging him down to the depths of political irrelevance. The New York Times recently published an article arguing that “Joe Biden’s campaign and top donors are racing to reimagine the ways they raise money as worries grow that the coronavirus could choke off contributions from donors big and small.” The article sought to put a positive spin on Biden’s predicament, analyzing how the Democrat front-runner might be able to “close” the “cash gap”

Despite the fact that the Mueller report proved there was no collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians during the 2016 campaign, Democrats were convinced that there was more evidence out there, perhaps in the tiny fraction of the report that was redacted for national security reasons, that proved Trump actually did collude with the Russians. It turns out that the most interesting things about Mueller's investigation were not what was redacted from the report, but what wasn't included in the first place. According to investigative reporter John Solomon, Bob Mueller hid evidence exonerating Donald Trump Jr. over the infamous Trump Tower meeting,

People need the best information on the nature of the threat, how they can protect themselves, what to do if they suspect they are infected, etc. On March 25, President Trump conducted a daily briefing on the coronavirus. Attorney General Barr was there to warn people about price gouging. Health experts were there to update everyone on the latest information about testing –

White House Senior Adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner made his White House coronavirus briefing debut on Thursday, announcing he’d secured a month of N95 masks for Big Apple hospitals. President Trump asked Kushner to become involved in the government’s coronavirus response several weeks ago and is now running his own task force looking for “outside the box” solutions, Kushner told reporters. Kushner told reporters how Trump called him early on Thursday morning after hearing “from friends in New York” that Big Apple hospitals were running critically low on supplies, he said. He called Dr. Mitchell Katz, the president and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals,

Some states and cities that have been shipped masks, gloves, ventilators and other essential equipment from the nation’s medical stockpile to fight the coronavirus have gotten an unwelcome surprise: the material is unusable. Nearly 6,000 medical masks sent to Alabama had dry rot and a 2010 expiration date. More than 150 ventilators sent to Los Angeles were broken and had to be repaired. In Oregon, it was masks with faulty elastic that could cause the straps to snap, exposing medical workers to the disease. “Several of the shipments we have received from the strategic national stockpile contained (personal protective equipment) well past expiration dates

Trump informed the Senate intelligence committee Friday of his decision to fire Atkinson, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press. Trump said in the letter that it is “vital” that he has confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and “that is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general.” Atkinson was the first to inform Congress about an anonymous whistleblower complaint last year that described Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democrat Joe Biden and his son.

Anthony Fauci, the medical professional at the eye of the coronavirus storm, has just come out and said the federal government should issue a national order for all Americans to stay home, stay inside, stay put. Is he nuts? Let’s rephrase: He’s nuts. On CNN, Fauci was asked by host Anderson Cooper, “Knowing the science, does it make sense to you that some states are still not issuing stay-at-home orders? I mean, whether there should be a federally mandated directive for that or not, I guess that’s more of a political question, but just scientifically, doesn’t everybody have to be on the same page with this stuff?” And Fauci said — yep.

U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the Russia investigation is putting increased scrutiny on former CIA Director John Brennan, searching for any undue influence he may have had during 2017’s intelligence community assessment of Russian interference. Durham, selected by Attorney General William Barr last year to lead this inquiry, drove to Washington, D.C., in March to ensure the investigation stayed on track during the coronavirus outbreak. The top Connecticut federal prosecutor is looking into highly sensitive issues, including whether Brennan took politicized actions to pressure the rest of the intelligence community to match his conclusions about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s motivations, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal.

The decision of American Navy to relieve the captain who warned publicly of coronavirus on his nuclear-powered aircraft carrier strikes us as the right move. We get that it’s a sad setback for an officer in an incredible command. The minute we read the captain’s letter about the crisis on United States Ship Theodore Roosevelt, though, we saw it as a breach on a matter that should have been kept within the chain of command. That’s easy to say, we understand, for a newspaper whose landlubber of an editor can’t go to Jones Beach without getting seasick. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) certainly has a way of rewriting history. Pelosi appeared on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell today with Mitchell about a Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) that impeachment may have slowed down the federal response to the Wuhan coronavirus. It’s a good question because Democrats have prioritized their quest to get the president any way they can since he was elected and they have never counted the cost of that effort. While Trump responded immediately in January, Democrats were completely focused on their continuing narrative against Trump. The virus to them was just another avenue to try to attack Trump,
