On Thursday, Sen. Chuck Schumer wrote a letter to President Trump, accusing him of failing in his leadership, thereby creating a void that “left America with an ugly spectacle in which States and cities are literally fending for themselves, often in conflict and competition with each other….” (California’s Governor, Gavin Newsom, by the way, would disagree.) (snip) For Trump, the counterpuncher, Schumer’s vile accusations on Senate letterhead required a knockout blow and Trump’s responsive letter to Schumer is that blow.

Scumer and his ilk will go to great lengths to damage Trump. They are evil. Almost 4 years later and they can't believe he defeated the evil witch from the west.

I think the Prez should kick Schumer -and Pelosi - twice a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, every day until the election. Tell the truth, and stick it to them good and hard.

That letter from President Trump to Senator Schumer has to be one for the history books as the best put down of a political hack ever seen.

Can Donald Trump get any better as a leader? There is something about New York politicians that makes them especially obnoxious and Schumer plays the part as expected. The biggest mistake the democrats could possibly make is to be talking impeachment and questioning Trump's leadership at the moment and, right on cue, that's exactly what Schumer is doing. California is second in line in the obnoxious category and voila! We having Pelosi and Schiff holding up their end.

As PDJT and his Administration steps up to handle the coronavirus epidemic, Schumer, Pelosi, Biden (remember him?), and most other Dims are shrinking in stature.

When the country needs to pull together to solve this problem, we can count on the Demonrats to try to make political gains by smearing the best leader we could have had in a time like this. Schumer and Pelosi are totally despicable people, just nasty, hateful and so driven by their TDS as to wish the country harm.
See the cartoon at the top of Lucianne today to get what they really are praying for.

I'm sure it was an oversight, but the author forgot to properly attribute the phrase "ambition, distraction, uglification, and derision". It is from Gaudy Night, Chapter XVII, by Dorothy L. Sayers.

It takes a New Yorker to stomp down a useless New Yorker like Chuck Schumer this was a great read. I like this President the likes of which I have never seen in my life time and I'm over 70. President Trump is a leader of WWII status like Winston Churchill loving his country and it's people.

Good letter, but Trump needs a new writer or proofreader. They misspelled “alternative” at the end by leaving out the letter “n.”

I see the article now links to whitehouse.gov where the reply corrects the misspelling of “alternative” and no longer links to the photo of the signed letter with the misspelling.

Beautiful to see Schumer punched in the nose, sorely deserved, and earned by decades of lies, corruption, misbehavior, and unanswered macroaggressions.

Finally, someone told the truth about Schumer. I'm sure that the Dem propaganda arm will decry this as un-presidential, but when I think back to the last administration, and the current non-senatorial, non-speakership, I don't think he went far enough.

Stop the pettiness? Is there anyone on the planet more petty than a demonrat politician? They impeached the president over a phone call, for God’s sake!

Wish someone, anyone, besides the President, would also say this to Pelosi and Schumer, as well as Schiff, Nadler, Clyburn, Waters, and the rest of the Democrat media whores.

President Trump has a right to, and must defend his presidential decisions, and those of his administration, as if he does not, nobody else will. Trump is a known effective counterpuncher, and Senator Schumer should have known that his grandstanding politicized advise as indicated in his letter to Trump would be shoved right back in his face. In that respect Schumer asked for it, and Trump gave it to him.

Chuckie Scummer has an approval rating lower than media and is racing them to the bottom or below. This clown repeatedly proves himself to be grossly incompetent and a slug. It would be great to see him primaried although I doubt it would be successful. Still, maybe it would focus his attention to have a strong challenger. Like most dems, the man is an embarrassment.

Scummy Schumer still doesn't get it. You would think he would understand Trump after living in the same city for so many decades, but no. Scummy Chuck is still without a clue.

People will say, “Imagine if Hillary has been elected” and/or “Can DJT get any better” to which I’ll say, does it really matter re: Cv-19? Aren’t Hillary’s people running the show? And if Hillary had won, would the economy have been shut down? Sorry folks, I think DJT has gotten played. I’ve not been tested yet but like many people here, believe I’ve had it and beat it down w/o meds. I’m still stunned that things are ESCALATING in the health care community. The pucker-factor is increasing every day and it’s beyond insane. I wish you all the best.

Trump forgot to mention the most important, in my view, false assumption made by Schumer. In our system, the state and local governments, who already employ first responders and have their own health care systems, are supposed to respond to emergencies. The federal government is only a backup. The feds are supposed to step in only at the request of a state. But, the Left, including Schumer, would love to concentrate all power over our everyday lives in Washington. This nonsense started with Katrina, when the media jumped all over Bush because he wasn't there on the first day. That was the job of the local governments and the state of Louisiana, who totally failed. But, the press gave them a pass and used it to bash a Republican president. Now, they're doing it again.
