As millions of Americans self-quarantine inside cramped apartments, or risk their own health to provide vital services, billionaire David Geffen wants the public to know that he's also doing his part in the coronavirus pandemic. 'Sunset last night…' Geffen wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday morning, accompanied by a picture of his $590 million superyacht floating in the waters of the Caribbean. 'Isolated in the Grenadines avoiding the virus. I hope everybody is staying safe,' added the music mogul, who is worth an estimated $7.7 billion. The post, which has since been hidden from public view, drew furious backlash as a 'tone-deaf' response

It's hardly self-isolation if he's rotating in a fresh crop of boys every couple of days.

I envy no one. He's welcome to whatever he has earned. I'm sure people who think home cooking means heating up yesterday's Chinese food leftovers would resent me for having sufficient food supplies and knowing how to cook them. When those who failed to prepare for this crisis run out of food, suddenly we will hear whining about how it's not fair that people like me have enough to weather this storm.

I agree with #4. He has earned what he has, and whether by good or by evil he is entitled to all its benefits. However, his lack of self-awareness of his privileged position does deserve comment. After all he posted the photo and message himself, he was not "outed" by some anonymous paparazzi. Perhaps his conscious was pricking him as he pondered the strange state of the world, and he truly wanted to wish everyone well by sharing the beauty his wealth had been able to provide him. But his lack of sincere empathy precluded any thought it would be perceived as a callus showing off. Our elite SJW are used to being able to toss off their bon mots of caring being received as manna from on high. It must have been a shock to Geffen to be on the receiving end of public vitriol. He immediately removed the post and imposed radio silence. This is a good sign. The paradigm has shifted. When we come through on the other side we will be a different America, MAGA:KAG America.

Brooklyn—A Brooklyn man accused of selling medical supplies to doctors at massive markups allegedly intentionally coughed on FBI agents and told them he had COVID-19, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said Monday. Baruch Feldheim, 43, was arrested on charges of assaulting a federal officer and with making false statements to law enforcement. On March 18, a New Jersey doctor contacted Feldheim via a WhatsApp chat group labeled “Virus2020!" Feldheim allegedly agreed to sell the doctor masks and other materials for $12,000, an approximately 700 percent markup. The doctor was told to go to an auto repair shop to pick up the order, Carpenito said.
