Birx says administration looking

White House coronavirus task force member Deborah Birx said the Trump administration is looking with “great detail” into a report from the United Kingdom that reduces the expected death toll from 500,000 people to 20,000 or less. A widely regarded U.K. study that inspired strict coronavirus crackdowns in the United States was revised to show that it is now expected to be at about 20,000, it was reported Thursday. “I am sure many of you saw the recent report out of the U.K. about them adjusting completely their needs,” Birx said Thursday evening during a press conference updating the nation on the coronavirus. “This is really quite important.”

So all this panic is probably based on false data, seized by leftists to shut down the economy to defeat Trump in November. I'm glad Dr. Birx is on the case.

No one makes a calculation error that devastating by accident. NO ONE!!!! Something is very wrong here and needs to be looked at. This information created a worldwide economic disaster. My question is, was this information provided by WHO? The WHO director as we know it is in bed with the Chinese. Our government is now recognizing that the information they received was WRONG. People need to get back to work, liberal government (states) need to stop trying to drum up more panic, people need to get out of their homes, etc. Everyone needs to understand that this virus is no different than any other.

Pretty soon we are going to come to this situation. 1. If you are reasonably healthy for your age, all you are likely to suffer is symptoms similar to a mild flu. 2. If you are immunocompromised then your best chances of survival are in a society that has gone back to work. The third option, to the chagrin of Democrats is rapidly narrowing like a right hand lane that is ending.

I don't believe any numbers from anywhere in the entire world. It's all over the map and so mind boggling that it can't be true. I can see the Trump administration trying to present true numbers but the comparisons don't add up so someone is lying and crunching fake numbers like fake news. It's like Russia saying they have not cases of Virus-19 it stopped at their border. If two million Russians really die from the virus we would never know or hear about it. I wouldn't put American numbers against the communist Chinese numbers because they would tell the truth.

I always thought shutting down the economy would be the only way the leftists would have a chance to defeat Trump in November. They've tried everything else, why not create hysteria about a virus. Leftists inside the government saw an opportunity to do just that. Notice that during the Obozo years, the H1N1 virus killed thousands of people before Obozo did anything, and they never told everyone to stay home.

Something VERY screwy is going on in Italy and Spain. Today's numbers for Italy are 151 deaths per million residents, in Spain it is 122 deaths per million residents. Yet in the USA, it is 5 per million, in Germany, 5 per million, in Austria 8 per million. France, Belgium, Switzerland and Netherlands in the 30s per million. So why are Italy and Spain seeing 25 to 30 times the death rate of the US and Germany? Why are France, Belgium, Switzerland and Netherlands at 6 times the death rate of US/Germany? What the heck is going on? The infection rates in Italy is 4 times the USA. OK then divide their 30X death rate by 4 and you still get a death rate 7.5 times that of the USA. Somehow these numbers do not add up. There is some huge piece of this puzzle missing. Is socialized medicine that horrible? But doesn't Germany have pretty much the same socialized medicine as Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Netherlands? Hard to believe that Swiss, French, Belgian and Dutch docs are that much worse than American, German and Austrian docs. Serious anomalies in this data.

From the article "Almost 500,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed worldwide, and over 22,000 people have died, while almost 120,000 have recovered." So that's 142,000 confirmed cases worldwide. Are the other 358,000 in hospitals or walking around unrecovered or what?

Much like the problem of the behavior of galaxies - there HAS TO be a lot more mass out there in the universe than we can see, the gravity is there. So astrophysicists have come up with "dark matter" to explain it. The only thing that explains the Spanish and Italian anomalies is "dark Wuhan flu cases". There have to be a LOT of no symptom or low symptom cases. My guess is from 75 to 80% of their cases are low enough symptoms that people don't turn themselves in to the medical folks and don't get counted. THAT can make their death rate in the range of the US rate to perhaps twice the US rate. THAT is believable. A 10% death rate when everyone else has 1.2% or less.....not real. LOTS of "missing denominator", the low/no symptom cases not being counted.

What they are actually saying is that deaths in the UK can be cut to 20,000 if they use strict social distancing, quarantines, and case identification and isolation and continue this until a vaccine is developed, or for 18 months in other words. So it's a completely ridiculous, impossible policy. They also say that if we do as is planned and clamp down for a month or two then we'll have deaths in the hundreds of thousands in the US rather than the millions. In any case we are set to have to ration ICU beds because it will be ten times what our system can take.

President Trump’s reelection campaign tweeted out manipulated audio to make it sound like former Vice President Joe Biden called the coronavirus a “hoax” in an effort to draw attention to what it views as Twitter’s double standard in policing political speech. The new Trump campaign video is styled after an ad released by the Democratic super PAC Priorities USA, which featured misleading audio of Trump describing the coronavirus as a “hoax.” The president's campaign has flagged multiple Democratic videos for Twitter in which he is heard calling the coronavirus a "hoax," arguing that the content runs afoul of the social media giant’s manipulated media guidelines. Americans can’t wait for the restrictions on their movements and interactions—widely known as social distancing—to end. That’s completely understandable. The coronavirus crisis has widely disrupted modern life. But as we learned Sunday, the Trump administration’s commonsense “stop the spread” increased mitigation strategy is with us for a while—at least till the end of April. Based on the challenges we’re facing, this is a prudent decision. While a firm date for the end of this biological battle in the United States is just unknowable at this point, it’s reasonable to ask: How will we know when we’re seeing some light at the end of the social distancing tunnel?

Critics of President Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus crisis characterize it as “knee-jerk,” “spur of the moment,” and “grasping at any straw within reach.” In fact, many of the recent executive actions we have seen reflect a new approach to health policy that has been underway almost since the day Trump was sworn into office. They include the ability to be diagnosed and treated without ever leaving your own home; the ability to talk to doctors 24/7 by means of phone, email, and Skype; and the ability of the chronically ill to have access to free diagnoses and treatments without losing their access to health savings accounts.

However, much anecdotal information has arisen to call the official line from the Chinese Communist Party into question. Here are some of the key questions, along with partial answers, regarding China and COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. 1. What’s the Real Coronavirus Death Toll? The question may not be answerable. The official Communist Party line is that there were more than 82,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 3,300 had died from the disease. “It’s difficult to get real numbers.
